Know the actual readings of the trucks you're renting instead of treating the customer as a criminal. If this happen to me its happen to others. Being over charged is the crime. Calling out the customer as a liar is not an approach being of a business.Kenneth N.

I originally made a reservation at the Meriden rd location in Waterbury CT and had technical difficulties because the area had no service. I sat for 2 hours trying to get assistance with customer service and was unsuccessful. I made a new reservation at a different location just for them to tell me I had a balance.U-Haul charged me the wrong rate then charged me again just to have me sit and wait on a U-Haul for 4 hours at the location to continuously be told that I still have an outstanding balance due to your customer service negligence.DANIELLE J.

The trailer had what appeared to be hay and horse poop in it when I picked it up. I used the trailer, returned the trailer, cleaned the trailer out at the rental location and was still charged a $15 cleaning fee. The trailer rental went from $92 to $143. WHAT??? Where did the other $52 come from? Don't think I will be using U-Haul again.Kelly J.

Not require everything be done via a cell phone. Truly not everyone has access to a cell phone, not everyone wants to give their personal data out, and certainly don't want to add family members and friend's data. It would be convenient for after hours pick up and drop off but it should be optional not a requirement.Robert B.

When I arrived at Rene's on Saturday there was a line of people trying to use the online check in system for trucks (4 or 5 people) and I was told there was no one there to help. I called U-haul for help in picking up my trailer and was told that they could not do online or mobile check in for trailers an that someone needs to be there. After 45 minutes of trying, Bob (one of Rene's workers) showed up out of nowhere and helped me tremendously by calling around and getting someone on the phone that can take my credit card information and get me moving as he does not know the u-haul system. He said Rene was supposed to be back Thursday but he never showed. I have been to this location 3 times and have had 3 issues so I will NEVER use this location again and will recommend others do not either. The issues I have dealt with far outweigh the convenience of picking up in town. I will use another store from now on and someone should address Rene (the owner) as there were also a number of other unhappy people there and I am sure that is effecting U-Haul's business negatively. I was fraudulently charged 770,91 for a two day trailer rental, instead of calling me to find out what happened he just started clearing out my account a bunch of unauthorized transactions, guy should be arrested. Still considering calling police because I have yet to see any money back! When I called and told him I am now completely broke due to him clearing out my bank account he basically yelled at me and treated me as a criminal- I'm a loyal customer that did nothing wrong! My trailer had a leak in the roof somewhere in the middle got some of my furniture wet but there was no heavy rain just like misting all the way down not sure why it was wet we also had a blowout with an empty trailerrobert M.

Based on my experience I do not plan on using UHaul ever again. I booked my truck, location and time well in advance of my rental. 2 days before my rental they switched my location to farther away from where I was going to pick up my stuff from and from 7 AM to 10 AM. The. I arrived at 10AM and no one was there until 10:25. On top of that the truck barely had enough gas in it that I had to fill up before I even got to my storage unit. Lastly I had ordered furniture pads but was not told that the location didn't have any until I picked up the truck. I was driving from Ct to FL and wanted to be on the road early but lost about a half a day due to the time switches and delayed time. Then not having there furniture pads rustled in some of my belongings getting damaged in the trip. Overall terrible experience and really disappointed with the lack of professionalism.Matthew C.
I booked a 24 hour ride share U-Haul under the assumption that I would be able to pick up the U-Haul by myself through the app. This was not correct. I arrived to the location early to be told by another customer in the same circumstance that the owner had set it up so you must go inside to receive the keys from a person at the desk. This would have been fine, however that that person at the front desk was at a dentists appointment despite the hours online and the front neon sign indicating "open". I had to wait over half an hour after my pick up time and ultimately ruined the entire scheduling of my move-in.Magine S.

The lot had a lot of wood debris & a few screws in front of the garage bays. Parking for return was a little difficult since the lot was quite full and there weren't many options. Your website for self check-in/check-out is atrocious, I got kicked off the site three times trying to upload the photos to complete the process. Your phone service had a 15-20 min hold time. Luckily we were able to complete check-out from another phone before the operator got around to picking up. I would NOT recommend this self service option to ANYONE. It was an absolute nightmare. Took almost an hour to return the truck.Justin U.

I am beyond furious at uhaul corporate!!!!! I booked a car trailer in my hometown of Westfield Massachusetts on line. They website said it would be available, less than 24 hours before my scheduled pick up time corporate called me. This was to supposedly â€œconfirm my reservation â€œ they then informed me that I couldn't pick up the trailer Westfield had. They told me that it was for local use only! They said I had to pick one up in Wolcott Connecticut! I asked if there were any â€œin Massachusetts â€œ they said NO! Not one freaking car trailer available in Massachusetts!!!!??? That's Bullshit!!! Instead I had to pick one up in southern Connecticut!!!!! When I booked my reservation, the website should have informed me that Westfield's car trailer wasn't available for me to take on my trip if it's for local use only! Not freaking wait until the day before my cross country trip to tell me I have to drive an additional 1 1/2+ hours south into Connecticut out of my way!!! Thank you to the man who works at Wolcott uhaul for being apologetic when it wasn't even his fault! As for your scheduling website and your scheduling people who called me to tell me the â€œgreat newsâ€ FUCK YOUPeter D.
