The locations, people, and equipment were excellent. The Uhaul mobile app was terrible. I had a well-charged phone with a solid internet connection yet the app repeatedly froze, issued alerts that it had lost data connectivity. Even after the app cleared me to go, it froze again on the screen asking for input on my credit card. I consider myself very tech savvy yet found the self-checkout experience with the app itself nerve-wracking and clumsy.David B.

Make the pickup window more then an hr. I was an hour and ten minutes late and was kicked out of my reservation. The very nice lady behind the counter was able to reinstate my reservation.Christine M.

Was a great experience and easy all around. No stressful turn in, easy pickup, brand new van. For an improvement, I guess maybe asking if customers need a dolly, boxes, etc, though honestly, I appreciated the lack of an attempted upsell. Great dealer.Mark B.

The counter person is very slow providing the rental truck, you never Focus and a customer at hand. How many interruptions from other customers while doing paperwork for the rental. Their pay machine is not working properly, the guy in their doesn't know how to process. Way expensive. He doesn't know how to close up in drop off time. He told me to drop off the key, his boss will close it up when he come here. The next day they charged me 20$ late closing fee.AJMAL A.

Especially convenient pick-up location for local Reston residents. The online reservation and drop-off processes were efficient. It was all just great. The woman I dealt with in the shop was very helpful.JOELEONARD B.
The survey questions are intended to make U-Haul look good. Questions asked only about the location, which is irrelevant, as I reserved, picked-up and returned the truck with my smartphone. There was no interaction with anybody at the location. The reservation process is POOR, as I was required to provide substantial additional info via my phone when picking up the truck. U-Haul wanted me to upload my passport or an apartment lease; or to provide the names and phone numbers of two people. I then had to wait at the truck's location while someone from U-Haul called my 2 acquaintances. This pick-up process needs to be done when making the reservation!Robert W.

You need to improve the general site for renting a uhaul. I was using my iPad cand could not complete the process. The last boxes that needed to be checked ( concerning drinking the u-hail as I recall) could not be punched and therefore I could not complete the rental. I then went to the main computer and now the $19,95 rental had increased to 79,95 for a van. My third attempt after an hour of efforts went through and I was able to complete the rental form for the correct $19,95 price.Ruth M.

I was paid to get 24 blankets and 2 dollys. I got one dolly, no blankets, and no straps. Mobile check in does not make for good customer service. This was a pain to deal with.Joshua D.

Provide customer friendly service. Other locations do help the customer to complete the check out process. They go out with you. This location uses Covid as an excuse to leave you outside alone to do it. I will go next time outside my neighborhood because I want to get a friendly person on the phone. I was two hours late to pick up the rental (I booked the rental in advance and didn't know the exact time i would arrive) and when I arrived the rental was cancelled without contacting me. I had to call u-haul corporate to reinstate the reservation which took 2 hours. After I dropped off the rental I was charged for fuel. I took before and after pictures of the dashboard and I was able to show I properly refueled the rental and I received reimbursement from u-haul corporate. My experience with u-haul corporate was great; my experience with u-haul reston mobil was awful.MATTHEW A.

The truck was clearly used for a landscaping job and not cleaned after. The bed of the truck was absolutely infested with ants, especially under the back left corner of the mat that covers the bed. I even saw an ant on the windshield when driving. In addition, the entire truck was covered in dirt. Finally, Bobby working at the store was completely unhelpful - he tried telling me just to call UHaul to get road side service to help me (what would even be the point of that?). I called UHaul and spent over an hour on hold/being transferred between different departments. Eventually I had to hang up and just use the disgusting, dirty truck because I had 8 hours to be out of my apartment. Worst truck quality and customer service I've had with UHaul.Tori B.

First of all, when I placed this reservation online, it was for the Sterling VA location. I only found the reservation was moved to the Reston location upon arriving at the Sterling location. I checked out in-person with the desk person who emailed me everything. I lost my phone during the rental. When returning it was very difficult not being able to scan a qr code on site. The location is not the problem, I was booked to pick up my truck at Church Falls and last minute when I was in the line, they changed my location, NO explanation from the location, No sense of empathy, they just say "call the 1-800 number", like they didn't care. Why you changed my location?, BAD PLANNING. Then you want to squeeze me more money on miles for your mistake? Why charging me $2,38 for extra 5 miles when YOU sent me 20 miles away to pick up my truck? NOT FAIR, bad business. If I'd complain to BBB you would lose ratings, and you know I'm right and you are wrong. I deserve an apology.LUIS Z.

The owner is extremely arrogant and I did not feel I was valued as a customer. Next time, I would rent a U-Haul vehicle from another location. The owner started boasting about how much he made which did not seem relevant to me and the number of side businesses he had. The owner was Indian and he had an issue of superiority complex which was hilarious that he is better than Pakistanis which he knew I was. It was a mistake giving my business to this person. This person should have his U-Haul renting lease revoked.Ali C.

The owner had my Uhaul parked so close that I could barely get in and the mirrors could not be extended out. There was also a car (in the owners possession as part of his service station) extremely close to the rear of my uhaul truck, so I stated I am not comfortable backing it out (without even being able to have mirrors) as I was afraid of hitting the sedan, he said he would not move the sedan and I can take the truck or â€œleave it!â€ I again pressed and stated I simply don't want to hit the other vehicle due to no mirrors and he shouted, â€œyou hit it, then you own it!â€ Fortunately, someone was able to guide me out. And the fact that I could barely open the door to enter the truck could be an accessibility issue, which is a protected status by law. It's not unreasonable to request doors being able to be opened. I do not recommend renting from this location. This persons attitude was appalling.David R.
