Truck was very dirty inside. Also, picked up the truck and then found out there was a lock on the back. It took a half hour plus to get a hold of the office and get the lock open. Just not a good experience.

First, I was emailed just one hour before my scheduled pickup at a completely different location to inform me that I now had to drive 30 mins out of my way each way to go to this Reston location instead. When I arrived, they were unprepared and although I’d already input all of my information and checked in, it took them 14 minutes to rent the truck. I was the only customer in the place. Complete waste of time. Then I was told the truck had no damage and was “perfect.” Well, it had damage all over it as I expected, but most of it was marked. One large damage area was not marked with your uhaul stickers, and when I came back inside to ask them to mark it on the truck or my contract, they initially refused. The man said it was not his job and his only job was to rent me the truck. He also threatened to cancel my contract if I wouldn’t take the truck as is. I told him no and that I would call customer service. He said fine, call, and walked off. Another man came out and told me to hang up the phone and that he would mark the truck appropriately. He blamed the other persons rude behavior and threats to him being new. That’s simply unacceptable, but I needed a truck to move, obviously. So being threatened with canceling my contract, I let him mark the truck and drove the half hour plus out of my way back to load up. I had no issues with the truck itself. When I returned it, after having driven just over 30 miles, it took 9 gallons of gas. Are you serious? I’ve driven these trucks many times and never achieved such an abysmal mpg. The 15’ truck is rated at least double the 4-5mpg that I got. The truck was clearly in need of maintenance if it averaged that low. So, in addition to having horrific, slow, threatening customer service, this added insult to injury. Moving is stressful enough, but having to waste my own time and go way out of my way due to uhauls logistical issue, to deal with awful customer service, and then a truck that got 4mpg... I will never use uhaul again. There are way too many alternatives for moving these days.

I did end up with a dead battery and have to get a jump. And my charges seem incorrect, especially the mileage it seems of by at least 20 miles.

Maybe mention that you can't park at Reston Mobile as a uhaul customer. They called me nearly an hour later saying if I didn't come back my car would be towed.

Rented a cargo van and the floor of the cargo space had soil and gravel dirt - it definitely needed to be vacuumed before being rented out. The young man in the morning handled the paperwork quite efficiently, but when he brought out the rental dolly, he didn’t have the service courtesy to load it into the van.

THE FUEL GAUGE IS NOT ADEQUATE AS MEASURE OF FUEL TANK "FULL" OR NOT. I DROVE 19 MILES, YET IT TOOK 5 GALLONS GAS TO FILL UP TANK. I OBVIOUSLY WAS DUPED. THE GAUGE READ FULL BEFORE I STARTED BUT CLEARLY WAS DOWN AT LEAST FOUR GALLONS.

I received a phone call from an employee at this location saying we had stolen the van and that if we did not return it asap that they were going to call the police. We had extended the rental by a day over the phone and was told that it was fine as long as we returned it by 12pm the next day. This man was extremely unprofessional. For the amount we were charged it was not worth being accused of stealing a van.

Went to return the vehicle and the two gentlemen that worked there were cleaning their car outside. They watched me walk up to the building to return the key for the truck and they decided to keep cleaning their car. I had to walk back out and ask them for help.

The truck itself was good and clean and rental was easy but the boxes are marked up more than 100% in price. A small U-Haul box cost was $2.99 there and similarly for other sized boxes. They don't accept returns of unused boxes like U-Haul does everywhere else either.

I was delayed for an hour because I couldn't close the ramp due to improper installation of the bumpers underneath. This cause me to pay labor for an hour because I was late to meet movers at second location. I want a refund for the extreme inconvenience.

The transmission needs repair; the vehicle was sufficient for my 30 mile R/T need but it would be dangerous to drive a long distance without the service station repairing the transmission.
