I had to use this location because my confirmed location in Elkton ,Md. was closed at my arrival,at 1:00P,M, I was forced to pay 50 $extra because of the mileage charge to use a location 15 miles away, I'll never use Uhaul again-and never should anyone who reads thisRobert H.

Van was dirty and has cigarettes. Old water bottles and got charged more miles then I used it and call customer service and they hang the phone twice was unable to fix my problems. F-Ruben L.
The attendant at pick up time (who I believe is the owner) and a customer were not wearing masks during the pandemic of December 2020. I reserved a 15' truck and there were no 15' trucks available. I had to rent a smaller truck and make 2 trips. The truck's check engine light was on the whole time. The drivers side door was damaged and not not close properly. I got the job done with the truck and was happy to have a truck but this will be remembered as a failure. How can you not have the truck I reserved? I shouldn't even have to suggest having the right size truck that was reserved actually reserved as an improvement. Also following health guidelines that don;t put my life and my family members in danger by not wearing a mask during the pandemic could be an improvement. The location is close to my house and very convenient.Jay G.

When I booked online, there was a 20 ft truck available at this location, so I booked it, but when I went there was only 15 ft truck. Since I had no other option, I had to take it and had to do multiple trips to move my stuff and I had asked the Exxon owner to give an extension for few hours due to this. He said he will give but when I returned 5 hours later than the schedule drop of time, he charged me for an entire day. I strongly recommend not going to this place for U-Haul rental as they show wrong availibitliy online to only charge several dollars extra for a smaller truck.Nitin S.

I have rented Uhauls in other states and had no issues other than moving locations of pickup or drop off. However in Delaware I went to my changed pickup location in Wilmington DE and there were 0 available trucks. I reserved a 15 foot truck 4 weeks in advance and after 25 minutes on the phone nobody could tell me why there were zero 10ft, 15ft, or 20ft trucks in a 50 mile radius when my reservation had been confirmed less than 24 hours earlier. The Newark branch did not answer the 1-800 number therefore I was speaking with representatives in Baltimore who continued to attempt to transfer me to a DE rep. This was unacceptable and only by the kindness of the owner of the station above we got a van for the day which required two trips out of state and back. I will never be using UHaul again if it can be avoided at any cost.Kristen M.

Where do I begin? Don't call people the day before their move and tell them you have no equipment for them and offer ZERO solutions to this problem. This is especially poor practice when there was available equipment as I obviously rented a truck. No dollys or furniture pads were available.Adam L.

I rented a 9' cargo van. No sign whatsoever that any effort was made to clean or sanitize the vehicle at all. The cargo area was filthy, I swept it out when I got home, but it was recently used by someone with muddy feet and there were remnants of dirt all over the floor. The dashboard area was even more dirty... i can't describe how dirty it was, only that I got out my trusty Lysol and wiped down the cup holders, steering wheel and other touch points. In these days of Covid-19, how is it that your company doesn't insist that it's dealers adhere to basic cleanliness standards. I will never rent a UHaul vehicle again.william S.

I reserved the uhaul truck and dolly online. When I arrived to pick up the truck there was no dolly. When I asked the rep at the counter about the dolly his response was he didn't know why it was available on the website because they do not have dollys available. The extra fee for the dolly was returned. Upon getting in the truck, the cabin had trash on the floor from the previous user. I returned the truck to the same location. 10 days later my account was charged 4 different transactions for 4 different amounts. I contacted customer service and she notified me that there was a balance due of 32,24 $ and the system automatically does that to see how much money could be charged. Not sure what that even means but sounds shady. I let the rep know that I was unaware of a balance as I dropped the uhaul off and placed the keys in a box so I did not speak to a rep. I really wish uhaul reached out via phone to let me know of this. Receiving a call of possible fraud from my bank is pretty unsettling. Also charging for amounts other than what is due is fraud in my eyes.Francesca C.

I had a reservation for a truck with another company (not to point fingers but its for people on a Budget...) when I showed up to pick up the truck they informed me that they had no trucks available. This was 45 minutes prior to when professional movers were scheduled to show up to my house. In a panic, I called this uhaul location. At Uhaul I was treated with a lot of kindness, very quick and efficient service, and they had the right size truck available immediately. The agent even expressed concern about me moving houses despite being very visibly 8 months pregnant. I assured him the movers would do all the work (which they did) but I really appreciated the concern. I hadn't gone with Uhaul initially because I found the website a little difficult to navigate but interacting with an agent via phone and in person was really great, so I regret even going with the other company in the first place. 5 stars, 10/10 customer service, when I move again I will only consider UhaulMarilyn P.

I rented a 15 foot truck specifically for the ramp, however when I got there, the ramp was broken. When I asked for a different truck, I was told that was all they had. I also reserved a dolly when I made the reservation several days in advance, however when I asked about it, I was told that I could only get one if they had one available. The staff was very nice and helpful but that didn't help me moving, very disappointing.Candy M.

The van was extremely dirty inside, it had not been cleaned at all. Also, the gasoline tank was COMPLETELY empty. There were only 4 blankets available. The vendors did not wear face masks. They never checked the van with us. I would not rent here again.Timothy H.
The process of renting and returning my vehicle was not explained. I didn't realize that I would need to take photos of the truck and when I picked up the vehicle it had a 1/4 tank of gas and when I returned it it had half tank. I was charged 74 $for gas when I returned it.Kelli M.

Attendant clearly did not show much interest or knowledge in the return process. I attempted to do the return through the app. I was having issues with the app so I called the 1-800 number for assistance. That was totally useless as well. The person on the call at the help center actually hung up on me. The only person that was of ANY help at all was John, who assisted me from the beginning of my rental all the way to the completion. He's the only reason I'd ever use U-Haul again. You should employ more customer oriented people like John. I wish I had a last name for you. But apparently he's somewhere in my local area of Randallstown, MD.Avery Y.

The truck had not been cleaned and there was only a 1/4 of a tank of gas. This is an Exxon pick up location so it should be full. With Covid you would think it would have been cleaned. we had to scrub the insideJohn G.

There was a lot of debris in the truck bay and the cabin was gross- black sticky stuff. In the cup holder area. I had to sweep out the bay at the drop off location because the Station manager was going to assess me a fee. He provided me a broom and waited for me to sweep it out. A bit degrading , and frankly in this time of virus spread, no one should be sharing brooms at a gas station. I'm sure the truck was not wiped down or sanitized before I got it.Jeff R.
Employees at the location were very nice and offered good advice about length of rental. I was very disappointed that the inside of the van was not clean. The cab storage area looked sticky, so I drove with my belongings on my lap. The storage area had dirt/debris on the floor and was very sticky. It was like an open soda rolled all over the back of it, so most of the floor was sticky. So much so that my feet stuck to it. I was moving furniture so I was not happy that I had to load my belongings into a storage area that was going to cause them to get sticky and dirty. The van also smelled of smoke so I tried to limit the time my belongings were in the van so they didn't pick up this smell. My sister had recently rented from UHaul in DE and told me how clean her rental was so I had similar expectations. I will try this location again because of the employee, but will make sure before I leave that the rental is clean. I would have thought that with the pandemic the van would have been even cleaner.Laura J.

I was charged 7 $for a dolly which I did not receive. I even inquired about the two dollies (appliance and regular) that I had reserved. Was told they never had dollies and to try a place around the corner. But yet I was charged for a dolly. I haven't had time to call them for a refund as I have been busy moving.Jason L.
