It was very difficult to find someone to get me the keys to the van. The van itself smelled like a garbage dump. Thank goodness we were wearing masks anyways. Even with the masks the van smelled like armpits and garbage.

Vehicle was dirty inside and had trash left in it. The attendant I returned the vehicle to did not speak English and explained nothing to me. No paperwork provided. He just said "Ok, finished". No explanation of my final charges. I won't rent from there again.

Owner / U-HAUL rep. out right rude and arrogant. I will tell everyone I can to stay away . Extremely unprofessional and should not be allowed to represent U-HAUL. I also recorded the incident which he will soon see himself acting crazy all over social media. Let's see him deny it then. More reviews to follow.

The guy who we rented from was VERY RUDE and I would NEVER rent from Uhaul again. I own a Government business and will NEVER recommend using Uhaul to anyone.

The Proprietor was friendly, courteous, professional and accommodating. Renting from Sam's Auto was SO easy for someone that hasn't rented a moving truck in a few decades. I have rented here before they were excellent but the truck was old and didn't run good smelt like burning oil the whole time and really bad carbon monoxide smell had to keep shirt over face whole time

Given the issues with COVID, your in-person part of the rental confirmation should change. I did the pre-check in online, but when we arrived to pick up truck, there was still more to do. Instead of calling my phone, I was asked to do this additional check in on the rental garage guy's cellphone. That was not safe for either of us. If all tasks cannot be completed online, then the rest should be done on the renters phone to avoid germ spreading.

The staff was excellent the truck itself poured water into the cab when it rained me as a passenger got soaked I took pictures of water coming in and reported to drop off store.

I was a repeat customer and went out of my way to rent a truck at this location because I liked the way I had been treated previously. My move was delayed due to heavy rain that afternoon and was about 45 minutes late returning the truck (4:45). This scumbag charged me a 30 $late fee which had not been clearly stated prior to the rental. It was supposed to be 19,95 $ for the day and I was furious to be charged 50 $. I will never rent from this location or recommend Sams Auto 37 Kenoza Ave Haverhill, MA to anyone. I will do everything in my power to prevent anyone from renting another truck from these guys. Total scumbags!

This location made the whole process very easy. We had no issues picking up or dropping off the van. I was very happy with the whole process! I need to rent another van in two months and I will definitely come back to this location.

New ownership at this location since my last u-haul use. It was a tremendously better experience this time! They were completely up to date with technology as well as being very customer focused. The last owner was gruff and unpleasant, so I was concerned. Now I will absolutely be going back and telling friends. Sam is great!

We returned the equipment on a Sunday. We were doing the online check in when a rude employee came out a locked up the truck. We tried to explain that we needed to take pictures but he did not speak English. We had a hard time getting him to unlock it so we can get the pictures

I requested my pickup location 40 minutes (one way) away from where I had to actually go get my rental. Completely threw off my moving schedule. Don't give customers the option of a desired pickup location and then send them off somewhere that's not close.

The vehicle was dirty and looked like it had never been cleaned. In light of the pandemic I felt extremely uncomfortable driving the vehicle. In addition, many of the employees were either not wearing a mask or were wearing them incorrectly.

The truck was half full at the time I took it, when I delivered the truck they did not give me any discount after I had to pay almost 40 dollars for that gasoline. that for me is unacceptable.

Truck wasn't terrible but definitely not clean. And the individual who seemed to be in charge at Sams Auto was pretty rude when all I was trying to do was pickup my key. Cursing at his computer and seemed to get frustrated with me when I offered to show him my check-in information. When I dropped off - there was a different guy and he wasn't much friendlier. Didn't seem to want to talk to me. Finally - I checked in through the app and it took over 20 minutes for my check-in to go through.

My rental experience was great.... Until I got the bill and was clearly overcharged and with charges that I did not originally purchase. I'm still waiting for a response as to why.

Staff at Sam's auto were helpful/efficient. Out of towners doing return really need to pay attention using GPS to find this: need Kenoza Avenue, NOT Kenoza Street! Wasted a half hour+ resolving this.

you cannot just casually ask a customer what time he is returning the vehicle, without telling him that there will be an EXTREME EXTRA CHARGE if the return is late!!! I was charged 158 $because I was an hour or so later than I said, even after calling 2 hrs before the agreed upon time to say I would be late. The response was "NO PROBLEM"!!! No mention of a late CHARGE! I fully expected the bill to be 29,95 $, plus mileage, and ins, as it was explained that way when I took the rental. Additionally, no contract was presented, or signed!

It was 100 % hands free due to Corona. They should have a computer screen facing the customer to review the contract info at time of pick up. Everything else was good.

Staff were very pleasant. Outside of vehicle was clean but the inside had clearly not been wiped down. Still had a receipt on dash for Ikea from prior rental and cigarette ashes piled in door panel.

The no-contact pick-up isn't really no-contact since I had to go inside to get the key. A lockbox somewhere with a pin would have truly been no-contact.
