To go over in more details about costs. $$ per miles etc. It is advertised 19.95. Then + 20 Insurance then+ cost per miles. I used one van 1 day and end up being almost 70 dollars + of course the gas money. If people knows an estimate on front they will probably pay for the service either way and not feel ripped off or scammed after,HECTOR P.

The truck was a piece of junk! Muffler was gone, it was all over the road on the highway and had 120 000 miles on it. Poor condition and I was accused of leaving 2 small carpets in the truck and I'm positive they were not mine. The franchise guy insisted he cleans all his trucks out, so I said â€œ we have a difference of opinion because they are not mine. Furthermore, I asked if I could throw them in your trash containerâ€ He said we don't have any trash here. I would recommend that the customer should always be right if a company wants to be a leader. This UHaul location was a poor example for your company. MerciCHRISTOPHER L.

Last minute moving situation left me in a bind and this uhaul location at sams auto truly helped me with everything I needed. A stressful situation turned into a good one. I walked in and was greeted immediately by a very sweet gentleman who was ready to help me. I was there for maybe 7 minutes. I received a van that looked brand new. Had zero issues. The next day I was still in a bind and needed a few more hours. A quick phone call and I was able to extend the time I had with the uhaul. I was unable to get in touch with the uhaul down the street and I am THANKFUL. I've rented a uhaul before and have had some awful experiences, but not this time. Thank you to sams auto for being so flexible and helpful during my crazy times! I'll never get a uhaul from anywhere else!Amber D.
The owner of Sam's auto on kenoza ave Haverhill ma 01831 was extremely rude unprofessional and straight up ignorant. Not only did he lie about the mileage he over charged me and swore at my mother and tried to attack me. I rented a van that was supposed to be 19,95 a day and 0,69 Â¢ a mile. He said I drove 27 miles which is completely wrong I did 3 trips that are 0,3 miles each direction the furthest trip I took was 2,3 miles each direction and that was 1 trip. I can walk to the storage place it's that close and the u-haul store is less than a mile from me. I can provide each coordinate and prove it. They must have gps. Just the owners aggressive reaction alone should be enough to terminate his contract for u-haul, he is slandering your name by acting like a buffoon to customers. I am a business owner and I would never act like that to a customer. I want a thorough investigation into this I have two witnesses and I am sure he must have video surveillance there. This is ridiculous and should have never happened I was literally robbed and almost attacked by a man who is representing the u-haul name bBurlinda C.

We did not receive our tow dolly, but ultimately we didn't need it for the move. Appreciated the help attaching the auto transport to the truck. Would've preferred if the truck had a full tank of gas when we rented it (tank was on empty when we checked in).Courtney M.

It was very difficult to find someone to get me the keys to the van. The van itself smelled like a garbage dump. Thank goodness we were wearing masks anyways. Even with the masks the van smelled like armpits and garbage.Michael H.
Vehicle was dirty inside and had trash left in it. The attendant I returned the vehicle to did not speak English and explained nothing to me. No paperwork provided. He just said "Ok, finished". No explanation of my final charges. I won't rent from there again.Jon F.

Owner / U-HAUL rep. out right rude and arrogant. I will tell everyone I can to stay away . Extremely unprofessional and should not be allowed to represent U-HAUL. I have rented here before they were excellent but the truck was old and didn't run good smelt like burning oil the whole time and really bad carbon monoxide smell had to keep shirt over face whole timerobert M.

Given the issues with COVID, your in-person part of the rental confirmation should change. I did the pre-check in online, but when we arrived to pick up truck, there was still more to do. Instead of calling my phone, I was asked to do this additional check in on the rental garage guy's cellphone. That was not safe for either of us. If all tasks cannot be completed online, then the rest should be done on the renters phone to avoid germ spreading.Terrence O.

I was a repeat customer and went out of my way to rent a truck at this location because I liked the way I had been treated previously. My move was delayed due to heavy rain that afternoon and was about 45 minutes late returning the truck (4:45). This scumbag charged me a 30 $late fee which had not been clearly stated prior to the rental. It was supposed to be 19,95 $ for the day and I was furious to be charged 50 $. I will never rent from this location or recommend Sams Auto 37 Kenoza Ave Haverhill, MA to anyone. I will do everything in my power to prevent anyone from renting another truck from these guys. New ownership at this location since my last u-haul use. It was a tremendously better experience this time! They were completely up to date with technology as well as being very customer focused. The last owner was gruff and unpleasant, so I was concerned. Now I will absolutely be going back and telling friends. Sam is great!Michael K.

We returned the equipment on a Sunday. We were doing the online check in when a rude employee came out a locked up the truck. We tried to explain that we needed to take pictures but he did not speak English. We had a hard time getting him to unlock it so we can get the picturesAnthony G.

I requested my pickup location 40 minutes (one way) away from where I had to actually go get my rental. Completely threw off my moving schedule. Don't give customers the option of a desired pickup location and then send them off somewhere that's not close.Andrew R.

Truck wasn't terrible but definitely not clean. And the individual who seemed to be in charge at Sams Auto was pretty rude when all I was trying to do was pickup my key. Cursing at his computer and seemed to get frustrated with me when I offered to show him my check-in information. When I dropped off - there was a different guy and he wasn't much friendlier. Didn't seem to want to talk to me. Finally - I checked in through the app and it took over 20 minutes for my check-in to go through.Matthew L.
