The employee failed to tighten the hitch coupler causing the trailer to come off the ball on the freeway. I managed to safely move to the shoulder without damage to my tow vehicle. The employee also did not attach the brake chain and when I asked before leaving he said it wasn't required but I failed to have him hook it up anyway. After the trailer detached on the freeway I did hook that up after hooking the trailer back up.

Jim WI walked in to get a rental truck and was quoted a price of $330 for a One-day rental going about 90 miles. I also needed an additional 40 miles in order to pick up other items. A rental the previous week for a larger truck was only $140 and when I pulled up your website on my phone the clerk quickly deleted the quote and rekeyed it in and ended up with $135. I ended up paying for the extra 40 miles after drop-off because he said that he was not able to account for the extra milage before I drove it.
Thomas HThis location rented me a trailer with faulty wiring. It was obvious that the wiring (a/k/a harness) had been spliced multiple times rather than replaced. I called roadside service and they sent a repair person who did not have the means to repair the wiring problem, but he was successful in blowing a couple of fuses in my new Ram 1500 truck. I'm still waiting for my refund.

JASON SThe back of the truck was extremely dirty when I picked it up. I also reserved a trailer and a hand truck. Uhaul waited until 15 hours before my move to tell me the trailer wasn't available. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I was told there were no dollys. Also, I picked and completed all the documentation for a self pick up, but wasn't able to do that at the location. I wanted to get the truck as early as possible and had to wait in line for 45 minutes before getting my truck. The truck rode terrible on the interstate even fully loaded. It bounced the entire trip and it was a miracle that everything wasn't shattered. This was my worst uhaul experience.
Martin CThe man at U-Haul had a personality of Masonite. When I picked up the trailer and got out of the yard, I noticed that the back drivers tire had only 13 psi. Should be 65psi. I put in additional air. Also, I was told that I could drop off the trailer at any U-Haul location. When I went to return the trailer to the NEAREST U-Haul location, I was told that I couldn't drop off there because they were full. Had to drive to a different location. PITA.

CALVIN HI would not recommend solely on the price $20 for the truck but $1,1 a mile is ridiculous. Plus gas. I just moved a couch and a bed and it cost me $75. If I would have known in advance I would have never rented the U-Haul.

JEFFREY EYi didn't get to finish moving my things with the haul I rented because the transmission started slipping so I had to call a friend and have them bring a trailer to pick me and my belongings up. I also had to pay $36 for a set of brake lights for the car doĺy I rented... then had to pay $60 to put it In The shop to have them fixed... all in all things were hectic at times but I managed to get it all moved afte 2300 dollars.

KENNETH KThe representative calculated the mileage incorrectly. I was told that I went over the mileage allowance. He recalculated and lowered the amount. I had to drive 50 miles to pickup the truck I requested then was given the option to save money by returning it 25 miles away. However I was charged for that mileage. I'll consider using a different company next time I need a truck to move.

Ronda FExperience was smooth with two exceptions that potential customers need to be wary of - 1, my truck's fuel was recorded as full but it was only at 3/4 when I started it up. I happened to notice and get the record corrected before driving it, but be sure to double-check. 2, when I dropped the truck off I went through a return inspection with the staff and then they drove the truck off to park it. My emergency contact recieved a call two days later saying it had never been returned and was missing without notice. U-Haul did not attempt to contact me at any point to resolve the issue. Before I could contact them they notified my emergency contact that they had found the truck in a lot that didn't belong to U-Haul. They were nice when they called, and offered to extend my rental without trouble so I could return it on time before they realized they already had the truck, but this could be a very serious issue for another renter - nothing would have prevented them calling the police. Take pictures of the vehicle when you return it so you have proof that you haven't stolen their property.

Some of this was due to lack of ways to contact the roadside assistance team. That part of the app could be a little more user friendly
james hGas Tank was empty and had to get gas right away. Thought there was a dolly left in truck but upon opening the door the wasn't one in it.
reda cI had a uhaul and tow dolly rented for a move could not use the equipment they will only hook to the uhaul and cant help u load ur car or unload ur car. Then that same day i could not use the equipment i returned both the trk and tow dolly to the same location. Was told that since i did this that i should be able to get some of my money returned but it was up to the location that u rented from. Since it was no linger a overnight trip would be treated as one day in town rental. Went and called help center and had reservation changed so i would not get charged extra for changing it ir dropping off in wrong location without approval and changed to in town rental and returned equipment and only used miles to stirage building and back after having to go to er for heat exposure. I was told i would get email with my refund noted after turning in and making sure it showed online as checked back in a new receipt and amount of my refund. I still have not gotten my refund and iI am sure i wont. Very dis pleased and will not ever recommend uhaul to anyone who is wanting to move and will never use uhaul again.
