The pick up location was good people there Wher nice.however the regional guy out of vt was horrendous.gilly gilcris has no people skills and is very standoffish.there was a slight problem on pickup due to a new employee that should not have been a big deal but he called texted and when I called back was horrible to deal with.the next morning I kept getting messages and calls from him but this time he was calling me Kevin and being rude had to call and explain I'm not Kevin please get your files right.once again location was great regional guy not so much.i won't go here again while he's around.

Please note that the pickup location listed here is WRONG. We picked up our 20ft Uhaul at Crazy Ed's Powersports LLC located at 633 John Stark Highway in Newport, NH. It was an hour and 15 minutes before we drove off the lot with a truck we had reserved earlier in the week. The poor guy we had to work with was nice enough but was a fill-in and had not been given adequate instructions as to how to boot up the computer and complete our transaction. He was also unable to schedule us for a drop-off at our desired location. We had to make phone calls and arrange that on the other end. I am by no means faulting the man whom we dealt with. He was very nice and apologetic. I am faulting Crazy Ed's however. The owner of the store should be held accountable here for not properly preparing this man. Their lack of foresight caused a significant setback in our move and resulted in unnecessary stress not only for us but for the man we had to deal with as well. I would not ever recommend this location to anyone.

The insurance agreement is deceiving. It says that it's walk away insurance but then on the day I sign the agreement, it discloses that there is a $250 deductible on overhead damage. I was told by the central phone call center that I couldn't back out of it because the agreement had been printed. I don't like being deceived.

The distance I had to travel to pick up and return the truck was at least double the mileage to do the actual move. My requested pick up location was much closer. It seems to me that the truck should have been delivered to my requested pick up location at your expense, not mine. Also, I didn't use the standard hand truck that came with the truck, but I had move it so my couch would fit. I think the had truck should be included for free.

Manager/owner?/staff was very helpful with helping me find the right hitch setup. They really took the time required to help me find the right hitch drop and moved the ball from my old hitch to the new one. I found everyone very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and their availability of different size trailers is the best around. The trailer was clean and had the latest drop down door which was very convenient. Overall highly recommend.

They had equipment, as no one else did. I had back against wall for transporting unit, attendant was VERY helpful both in comming and out going! EXCELLENT! I know where to go first if/ when I have to transport another unit! MERCI!

Instructions stated to call a phone number wen entering drop off town before arriving I did so got no answer at 6 pm but got a return phone call at 330 am from themwell after I was forced to return truck to night drop because of no response charged me to add fuel even though gauge was EXACTLY Wwhere it wad wen picked up and charged me a cleaning fee even though I returned vehicle in far better condition then I received. There was coffee_soda stains in cup holders dirt on floor mats back of truck hadn't been swept I cleaned all these areas even though it's how I received and was still charged for duel and cleaning without being told.also when I arrived it said this location does not support 24/7 self drop from app even though it was advertised as such so no pictures/documentaof hoe I left vehicle had to just put keys in drop box and pay to have them check it in next day at which time without even speak8ng to me on phone other than attempting to make return phone call at 330 am hours after drop off they j7st charged my card for all extras stated above location is run down and poorly marked /lit or taken care of management needs to get there policy's straightened out

Better instructions on how to use the online check in to be able to get the keys. When you first get the email explain what you need to do when you get there if you are picking up the keys when the store is closed. But overall it was a great experience.

So overprice it's not even funny I am a local restaurant owner and man of God I just needed to go grab some thing an hour and a half away cost me $500 almost out rages I would never do that again I could've put most of the stuff in the back of a pick up the guy didn't even cut me any kind of break at all as a local business man

The online transaction was annoying and took just as long as if we were at the counter. To have to repeat steps that were required days before the actual pick up was annoying The truck was clean to the point of swept out, but there were still mud marks all over the front floors and doors of the truck. I get they don't get totally scrubbed down, but if you are asking the next customer if it is clean, you need to address what clean is supposed to entail

Bill was good at breaking down the billing. Helping us get checked out at pickup. Than when we brought it back. I was having issues with checking it back in on the app. I called customer service lady reassured me that it was ok. Helped me check in.

I reserved my uhaul online and was to pick up with my app, and it wasn't working! Luckily they were open, and come to find out Uhaul double booked and I wouldn't have had a uhaul if he didn't notice it himself!!! This is the 4+ time uhaul has double booked or not had my uhaul properly reserved. It's horrible business practice. Thank goodness for the person at Newport Uhaul

Drop off process worked great, we did drop off at night, the location was easy to get into and drop off. Will be dropping off there again. Again u-haul is the ones for the job.

I dropped the truck on a Sunday morning. They charged me $20 fee because it was "after hours"??? Every time I rent from Uhaul it is a horrible experience. NOTHING HAS IMPROVED.

Picked up van after hours. UHaul online system is NOT user friendly. My daughter had to bail me out. Check out took almost 1/2 hour on a very cold dark night. Next time I will check out during normal hours.

The trailer was basically OK. There was a nail in the right front tire - I had to have this replaced at home (New London, NH) by U-Haul's road service. The other problem is that the trailer hitch ball assembly was set up so that the trailer tongue's lowest point was about 1" above the road. I ended up driving to the Concord, NH U-Haul location 30 miles away to have the ball assembly properly set up (turned upside down to raise the ball location and have the ball moved to face up. The Newport location sold me a ball bar that dipped down less, but the trailer tongue low point was still way to close to the road. Once the Concord U-Haul fixed up the ball assembly, the trailer tongue low point was 4-5 " off the road. I should add that the man who helped me in Newport was friendly and helpful to the degree he could be. I don't believe he had the tools to change the ball to the other side of the ball assembly bar. In the future, I will pick up any U-Haul trailer in Concord, NH (or other full-service U-Haul location).

Uhaul made this renting experience a night mare and I will not be using you again. Terrible customer service. I am talking about the Springfield VT location that screwed up my rental so I had to drive 45 miles round trip to get from Newport. The people at Newport we're great.
