RODNEY SThe location and staff there were outstanding! The frustrating issue I had was with the website and on-line reservation process. My initial reservation, done maybe two months ahead of the rental date was for a 26' truck. Confirmed on account page on the app; no problem. A couple weeks later I received an email saying my reservation had been downsized to a 20' truck???? Okay, I didn't get terribly concerned because I was familiar with the staff at the rental site, so I figured I'd go direct to them and clarify what was up. There was still plenty of time to clarify. A couple weeks prior to the rental date the rental date, there was another email. This time notifying me I had been downsized to a 15' truck!! This was down from an original 26'! Well, what in the name of teriyaki chicken is the scoop with this?!?!?!? So at this point I went to my acquaintances at the rental site and said "what the heck dudes? I'm so confused." The owner of the site at this point said I should just check back at the beginning of the week for the rental date. If at that point there wasn't a 26' on site, they would jockey things around. Unfortunately on the week of rental, I became violently ill and didn't check with the site until the day before rental. At that point they said I was still down as reserved for a 15' truck! "Good golly!" I says, I was initially down for a 26' truck, "what do we do know?" They said they had a 20' truck on site. I could use that. In a pinch, we could have made due with that size. However, with what appeared to be luck, they were supposed to receive a 26' in by that night. If everything was alright with the vehicle if they made it, we could up size to that one. Okay, so was that scheduled the whole time? If so, why did the on-line side of U-Haul telling me that I was downsized to a 20', then again to a 15'?!?! The rental site they had no clarification on me having anything other than a 15' truck reservation the day before rental. Ufdah!! What exactly did happen and why? Again, the rental site and staff were stellar!! I highly recommend them! However, the on-line automatic downsizing was messed up. I think of the individual who doesn't necessarily know the rental center, or doesn't double check notification emails as they are easily mistaken for auto reminders or ads/promotions? I can't imagine this has thrown a monkey in the wrench for many trying to utilize your services. It would be greatly appreciated if you could clarify this situation, as well as reassess its effectiveness in function. Thank you. Have a nice day to the individual processing these comments....but not to the individual(s) deciding how the app and website function for customers.
Travis WThe key drop box could be marked a little better. I mistook it for the mail drop. I tried calling the Friday before my drop off but couldn't talk with anyone so I hope I dropped it off at the right place.

KEVYN SThe right turn signal didn't work on this trailer. I do appreciate the easy latch ball hitch coupler. The safety cables and emergency detach brake cable were easier to hook up and manage. On the last unit I had, the safety chains were way too long and the emergency brake wire wasn't long enough. The experience with this trailer was much better as more lights worked and the ergonomics of the safety and latching equipment was much better and easier to get to the proper length and function with my truck. A side note: the equipment this time was clean. I said no because of the right turn signal being out.
JOHN RThe location was not open during my rental return, so I don't have any feedback about the location. My feedback in general would be to add an option on this form to bypass the feedback questions if a return location was not open, and an individual used the app to return the rental.

David TThe lot was very full, unsure where to park the vehicle. Not clear signage or organization to the rental lot. So we ended up just parking it wherever there was enough space for it.
Susan CDO NOT USE U-HAUL ONLINE, APP, OR 800 NUMBER! If you expect to get what you are reserving, go to the physical location and talk with them. None of the stuff I reserved was available for me, including the truck size. Call the local location or physically go into the location to make a reservation. The app does not work for picking up or dropping off the rental. It freezes and closes multiple times. Apparently this is normal. Luckily for me, I picked up my rental while the location was open, so the employee helped me get the rental complete. Very friendly and helpful local staff!

LISA DRental process was excellent and the customer service reps were very helpful. The only complaint I have is the chains were so long that even when we twisted them and cross them they still drug on the ground. I had to buy a caribeaner at a truck stop to tie up the chains. Would have been great for the Rental location to have done this for me. But overall very good experience.
Monica VOffer a prorated hourly rate after your first initial day. I couldn't quite make it back in 24 hours and kept it 2 1/2 hours longer and I had to pay for a full day. But a prorated time would've been nice. :)

Mark MGive option of where to pick up truck. I picked sauk centre and a couple hours later I get email saying I couldn't pick up there because there wasn't one there but it is sitting there in their lot where it's been for atleast a week. The return truck on app didn't work so I had to call and hope they returned my truck without any late fees .
Faith BThe trailer was full of mud and dirt, frozen and had to lay blanket down so my furniture didn’t get filthy, but some still did, I did complain when dropped of and that was another issue in itself,

jesse cVery unhappy that I was quoted $44,95 over the phone but when I picked up the tow dolly was advised it was going to be $111.00. I was going one way with the dolly and was actually bringing it back to the location someone had rented it from the day before. Called the U haul regional office and disputed the charges and was told the price was set by corporate and wouldn't charge me what I was quoted.
Steve CI was very impressed with the personnel working at Shutter's. They provided an easy place to park the UHaul / trailer combination without having to back the truck and trailer into a spot which was really nice.
Thomas OLet them know there is a deposit, I went through the entire rental process and not once did I see anything about a 200 dollar lost/damage charge. It was a complete waste of money because all the money I had for several trips back and forth for gas went to the deposit that I was never told about or shown or anything. It would be one thing to say last minute, "oh hey there's going to be a big charge for damages as a deposit" but nothing was ever said or written down before the rental purchase. I Did get the charge on my bill that was emailed to me later in the day, but Nothing was ever mentioned beforehand about the ridiculous price. I'm very saddened that this is just further proof of "hidden fees" and just rather untrustworthy business. Like I said, it would be different if someone said something or printed off the Full price list of everything that I would be charged, something transparent about the prices, but I feel I was wronged in the sense that nothing was said and the money i had planned on using for gas was taken literally without my knowledge until after the fact. The U-Haul company is being represented in an untrustworthy and distasteful manner at the location I used.
Dillan SNo gas in the tank. Ended up filling the tank but only used less than a quarter of a tank. No reimbursement. Pretty much a joke. Seems like that's what they do to keep them gassed up. Leave it to the customers to fill it. Some get screwed and others don't

Lucas BHave used Shutters numerous times. Always easy, both in-person and mobile...and the equipment is always staged and ready to go.
