I read a lot of reviews about how difficult it was to find this location and such so maybe I was prepared? I didn’t think it was that bad. It’s a very tight parking lot and parking around isn’t ideal. But the overall experience went okay. Thanks.

Your Representative (Shawn) acted in an unprofessional manner. A Text was sent saying he would call and he failed to call me back for several days. He neglected to advise me in advance the importance of getting a Password for pick-up and return on vehicle. He also misled me about the availability of the pick-up time. This location is a DISCRAGE to your Company. I had to call him several times and he never explained how it works. I do NOT use my Phone for Internet connection whatsoever. His only concern seemed to be whatever was easiest for him to do and didn't care about Customer Service. I feel that I was "Serviced" (screwed) by this location.

The representative was excellent. I did not like needing an alternate contact. Some of the new phones block unknown callers, therefore the process for confirming an alternate contact was extremely difficult and time-consuming. Further more, I do not understand my bill.

The wait time was terrible. My time started however I actually got the truck 40 minutes after. Hence I was charged a late fee. I requested a call to discuss the billing and never received a call. I was billed on 9/30 and now your company is billing me again on 10/12... this is absurd. I need to dispute this transaction ..

Pads, dolly were not available, I was charged for them anyway - even after I disputed the charges upon return of vehicle. I also found the user experience with mobile pickup to be very frustrating and way way way way too complicated. If I can avoid it, I will be sure never to use uHaul again. Customer service was utterly unhelpful.

I was booked at another location but was called 4 hrs before my pick up time that a van is not available. Then I called customer care and had to stay on hold for 30 minutes before I could talk with someone. They found me a van which was further away from my house. I had to go through this inconvenience, pay for extra miles but was not even offered an apology as compensation. Forget the 50 dollar guarantee, that is bull shit. I didn’t get a dollar, in fact ended up paying extra for an error your scheduling system made.

It took me longer to get an approval to get the key for the u-Hal than it did to get my stuff into the u-Hal and take it to it’s destination. Was waiting 50+min to get approval. I thought it was supposed to be a quick process.

Customer Service here was awesome. Left my wallet on the dash after securing the keys in the drop box at 9pm. Someone showed up within mins to unlock the vehicle to get my wallet out. That's some of the best customer service experience I've ever had

The area does not seem safe. If you are going to provide 24/7 service especially in a bad neighborhood you should have a the presence of some kind of security. The mobile check in and check is not conducive for everyone and does not take into account a malfunction with our mobile phone..very unpleasant experience. I much rather go where there is a person giving customer service.

I was disappointed that I was charged for an extra day based on a return that was 11 minutes late due to traffic. 30 or 40 minutes is understandable, but 11 minutes is difficult to swallow, I feel robbed and I am a regular customer and may have to rethink in the future.

Prior to this, I’d always picked up from a uhaul center with staff on site. I very much prefer that experience. Today, the website timed out multiple times as I was trying to collect my truck AND when I was dropping it off. Despite a helpful manager, it ended up being one of the longer pick up/ drop off experiences I’ve had.

I was nervous about the rental due to reading so many others confused about the location. I called multiple times and was assured I would get the pickup address texted to me, which I did. I was offered early pickup at no charge due to limited van parking, which I accepted. Shawn greeted me at the lot and walked me through the whole process of using the app, which seemed fairly confusing and was challenging to do some of the steps due to limited light for the required photos due to it being dark outside, so I’m grateful he was there. He was very courteous and helpful. The van was clean and well kept. My only regret was that I overfilled the tank slightly so UHaul benefited from my cash. Oh well.

UHaul parking lot is tiny and crowded. Luckily, I’ve driven these several times before and had a van with a backup camera. I have no idea how a novice driver and someone driving a truck could navigate their parking lot. Received instructions to NOT park my car in the lot. However, all the street parking for several blocks is 2 hr only. Very difficult to find parking.

The mobile check in experience was unpleasant. First, I selected to check in with an agent, but when I arrived I was asked to check in online. I did not know I was going to need to provide an alternate contact number. If it weren't for the agent telling me they would call my alternate contact at the start of the process I would not have had time to let the alternate contact know to expect a call from an unknown number, because otherwise she would not have answered. This would have made the process longer. I waited over 10 minutes to hear back from an agent online when during the "awaiting approval" part. And even after I heard back it took extra time on top of that. I also had issues getting started as the browser I use would not cooperate with the Uhaul site. It took me 45 minutes to get my truck, which is way too long. The agent at the parking lot was very helpful, however.

Location very confusing didn't even realize it was a uhaul facility looked more like a leather clothing store for bikers that sold electronics on the side. Online instructions should be explained by phone agent

However, this was not my requested location and was over an hour away. I had expected it to be within 20 miles. Further, the reservation was not confirmed until that morning which made this very stressful. Lastly, this location charged me $113 whereas my reservation was for $94. I would expect a credit back for the difference. This location, however, was exceptional and Shawn was great.

I had a reservation for 10 am and when I arrived, the location was closed. I met with a couple that was there and they stated that they called him and he stated the Uhaul person said that he would be enroute. After waiting for 20 mins in the heat outside the staff arrived. I was directed to pick up vehicle using the app since as the staff stated "I had no intention of being here". I was given directions to the van, and after having a hard time navigating the website. Once I found the van, which was tightly parked I was able to be on my way. The whole experience was less than pleasant and I will not ever use this location NOR reccomend this location to anyone I know. To improve future experiences, I suggest staff that gives the appearance of wanting to be at work, parking spaces that are not EXTREMELY TIGHT and reservations that are fulfilled on time. Especially since I did not receive my vehicle until 11:00 am. Which have lead me to not want to give my business to this location again.

The parking situation is really bad. Larger spots would be really helpful. Also, it is difficult to find the lot because it is not at the address of the office, which is the address renters are given. Very confusing. Luckily, the manager was very helpful.

The location is not correctly listed. After standing outside 162 Bloomfield for 15 minutes (it was closed), I got a call on my cell from the the guy running the rentals saying that I was at the wrong location and that I was sent an email with the proper location. I received many emails and texts for this reservation and they all have the incorrect address of 162 Bloomfield Ave. I walked a few blocks to where the trucks are and even though I reserved a truck with desk service rather than self-service, I was told they only had self-service at the location. My phone barely had enough charge to get through the process of creating an account and checking in which took an additional 30 minutes and was not user friendly. I feel like I was given a bait and switch and my next truck rental will be with Budget or another company since your reservation system is not reliable.

The address is not the actual pickup location. The van I rented was in a lot several blocks away. If I had booked the rental during non-business hours, I never would have found it. The business at the original address was closed when we arrived and the mailbox for the phone number I was given wasn’t taking messages. I tried calling Uhaul but was put on hold for 20 minutes with no answer. I finally noticed a phone number on the awning of the closed business and through that number found out the actual location of the rental lot. It was a very frustrating experience and wasted much of my time. I wonder how much Uhaul wants to rebate to me for all the aggravation and wasted time?

There was no office to actually speak to someone. It was hard to find and there were no instructions on what to do. I had to ask a random stranger in the parking lot where the key boxes were, then it said I needed to get keys from a representative. No one was there so I had to call. It was not an easy process.

This location’s parking lot was under construction and we were not alerted to the issue of where to park at the time we booked or at the time we picked up the truck. The street parking in front of the location was taken up by other trucks. There were no signs about where else you could park. We drove around for 15 minutes trying to find nearby parking. Finally, at a loss, we called uhaul and we’re told to park many blocks away at a post office. Then the app didn’t work to return the car so we had to call uhaul again. It was an incredibly stressful and annoying return. The fact that there was no apology any time we called was also pretty frustrating.

This was a terrible experience from the get-go. I've rented Uhauls many times and have an account on the site. I made my reservation and received multiple text messages and emails about my reservation. Not one of them mentioned that you now ask for multiple forms of identification upon pickup. So imagine my surprise when I am standing on a street corner at 7:30 at night trying to pick up my truck and I am asked to provide my passport or a copy of my lease. I don't know anyone who carries those items around on their person. Ridiculous. Then, I go to return my truck at 6:40 at my location which closes at 7pm -- and they're already closed. Thank goodness their happened to be a street spot in front of the location (where the van was parked when I picked it up) otherwise, I don't know what I would have done because their lot was closed or no longer in use, I'm not sure. So I try to do the return through the website. I am at checkout and my less than $100 rental has somehow turned into a $300 rental. Turns out, the computer is saying that I drove 250 miles (I drove 20) and the rate is $95 a day (should be $19.95). Called customer service. Incompetent. Told me to not finish checkout, leave the key in dropbox and they will handle in morning. The next day, I had to spend the entire day on the phone trying to get this resolved. Calling location only to be given the runaround. Calling customer service and got 4 different incompetent reps who were unable to help me. Finally resolved after I lucked out and got Candie from Customer Service on the phone. This company is a joke. I will NEVER use this company again and I will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY. Incompetent, inefficient.

This new mobile share is a good idea but needs major improvement. The time it takes to complete is too long. When uploading a photo, you cant go back to correct. Approval takes too long. This should be done in advance. The quote that I received online was nothing like my final receipt. This is false advertisement. Won't be using again

This location is in a beat up parking lot and the key pick up / drop off isn't there. They're on the building next to the lot and there were no signs indicating this. It took my 5-10 mins and a phone call to figure this out.

The location owner had apparently taken the key out of the lock box because he was going to be gone, and locked his shop. I could not access my van for over 20 minutes until I called U-Haul and they were able to contact him. Also, his location doesn’t have a listed phone number. I was out behind almost 40 minutes into my reservation trying to get access to the key. Very frustrating

I waited awhile to get my trailer the day of pick up. The U-Haul place was closed at the time of pick up. Had to call U-Haul corporate to get in touch with the guy. After loaded up, Later that evening, I got pulled over by multiple cops that said that the trailer was unregistered. They threatened to impound the trailer. Kinda had bad experience with this.
