I rented this equipment 2 months in advance of when I needed it. I called Uhaud 2 days before picking it up to make certain it would be at the pickup location. I was told it would there. Just to make certain I went to the pickup location the day before scheduled pickup and was told the truck and trailer was not going to be available at that location. Finally, after a long wait, the location told me it would be available at a different location. WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING A RESERVATION? Not the first time this has happened to me with Uhaul. Very, very poor customer service.

I rented the truck on 12/29 at 11am. I was late returning it on 12/31 (my fault) and when I came at 2, they were closed for the holiday. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the truck as anything that happens would be on me. I came back on 1/1, they were still closed. So I dropped the truck off just before they opened on 1/2. I ended up receiving a rental charge all the way through 1/2. I was pissed. They. Were. Closed.

1. Drove 9.8 total miles. Filled up 4.7 gallons in the tank. The truck does not get 2 MPG full or empty. 2. Attendant fed me a line of bull about how i “overfilled” the truck because i let the gas pump click. 3. Attendant claimed i had been filling up the truck and my own personal vehicles wrong by letting it click. 4. He revved the engine to “warm up” the truck, which albeit was nice, but wasted gas, that i ended up paying for. Didnt like the fact that the attendant was trying to make up a reason why for 9.8 miles i filled up 4.7 gallons of gas. I felt like he tried to swindle me. At the end, i just gave up talking to him because he was so persistent that I was wrong. Customer should be compensated in this case. This is the closest Uhaul to my house and all my neighbors, I would rather drive across town and pay more than go here, and be swindled. What can you do better? Find someone who is trustworthy and would represent Uhauls name and reputation the way the company would expect.

I requested to return the truck at Corona,CA but when I returned the truck there, the U-haul worker there said that it was the wrong location and that they would have to charge me $30.00 more. I told him that will be okay but then I was billed $57.49 with no explanation what so ever. Because of this incident, I will never use U-Haul services in the future!!

The store didn’t open on time it was an hour or so late opening. There was an employee that was there but he didn’t have the keys to open.The employee that was there was very nice. I was the first customer to have arrived. There were other customers that came after me that was already had issues but the main manager that showed up was great and the employee that was there was great. Now when I got to return the Uhaul the lady was extremely sweet.Awsome customer service all around

I was told I had the truck for 24 hours and even received a text indicating this. Then received a text in 4 hours the truck was due! Very confusing! Was then charged double when I returned the truck in 24 hours. I don't think anything will be done about this but just wanted to let somebody know.

THE TRAILER WAS LICENSED IN FLORIDA AND I NOTICED THE STEEL WHEELS WERE EXCESSIVELY RUSTY AND APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN PAINTED OVER ALTHOUGH THEY NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. JUST SEEMS IT COULD BE A PROBLEM.

I received the rental truck with slightly less than a 1/4 tank of fuel, drove 68 miles and put 9 gallons of fuel into it, returning it with the fuel gauge in the same position. I get an additional charge of $36.38 for 1.5 gallons of fuel and refuel charge. This is a very poor business practice and I would not use or recommend this U-haul location again.

The attached lock for the cargo door didn't work. Key fit in and turned but shank didn't pop open. Felt a little uncomfortable leaving the 2 furniture dolly in the truck unlocked overnight. Would hate to have to pay for them if they turned up stolen. Otherwise have done business at this location several times with no issues or surprises.

I told the gentleman at the pick up location I would return trailer to same location. Then when o get home uhaul called me and said to drop off at a different location which was closer to my house. That would make it a “one way rental” and require a higher rental charge. But if I returned to same location as pick up it would be an “in town rental”. I proceeded to tell the U-Haul rep that I will rerun to pick up location. Hopefully the rental fee is for the in town rate instead of one way rate. I felt like U-Haul purposely tried having me drop at a different location just to charge me the one way rate. Not cool. If I am charged the higher rate I will not use U-Haul again. Felt like I was being scammed for an extra $15.

I was charged for a damaged chain without notice . I have no problem with paying $10 or $20 extra bucks, but at the fact that there was no communication was very unprofessional. If it weren't for me stumbling across the damage report in my email, I would not have known I was being charged for damage.
