My truck was already out and ready to go when I arrived. The U-Haul self-serve app did not recognize that I was at the pick-up location, so I completed the rental in the office. The office staff was friendly and efficient. He said that he was not surprised that the app didn't work. "It is always a problem." The return process was equally efficient. This is the second rental I have arranged at this location in Orem, Utah. I highly recommend them.Ronald J.

I was offered one month free storage with the rental of the truck. I chose the storage that was closest to where I was moving and then after getting moved found out that they are not affiliated with U-Haul therefore I could not receive the one month free storage. If I don't location is not affiliated with U-Haul then it should not be offered on the U-Haul webpage or it should clearly state that they are not affiliated and therefore the free monthly storage rental will not be honored.Robin C.

When we arrived for pick up there was a sign on the door that said they were closed for lunch. We arrived 5 minutes before our pick up time and waited almost an hour for someone to return. When we called the office, they said they couldn't cancel our reservation because it showed we'd already picked up the vehicle - which we hadn't. The scheduling office was impatient and advised there was no help they could give, they had no idea when someone would return, and we had no choice but to wait. And overall costly situation for us. We only booked with this location due to timing because we were on a deadline. Ended up spending double and missing our deadline anyway. Do not recommend.Niccolle S.

The truck was super dirty in the box part with shredded paper all over so now every rom in my new place has shredded paper everywhere. The app to pick up contactless froze on me and I never got to submit all the damage on the truck that wasn't already stickered. They didn't have any of the dollys I ordered but I got lucky and the guy behind me in line said he had one so I at least got that. I use uhaul a lot and have never had issues with contact less but this time I had to go inside and wait in line which is why I ordered contactless. I returned the truck early but I sure hope I don't get charged extra for anything.Geric H.

The check in process took forever. There is a lot of things hidden till the last moment. The gas tank was below 1/2 a tank. The only thing that was easy was the checkout process. Maybe warn people when picking up a truck that it takes 15+ minutes to go through everything then get approved.Justin B.

I am a very experienced large vehicle/log distance driver. This truck was probably the scariest drive I have ever had to Idaho. It felt like the transmisiÃ³n was messed up, shocks were bad, and the abs was out so it bounced and shook the entire drive in a way that made me feel like I might lose control if I hit the wrong bump, or had to stop quick. It was not a good experience. The store was great but the equipment was not!Joseph L.

I was offered free first month storage with the rental of the truck. However the SugarCity storage charged me for the first moth because they aren't affiliated with Uhaul. If a storage facility isn't affiliated and therefore will charge for the first month, they should not be listed as an option on the Uhaul website.Robin C.

Highly recommend State Stree Storage! We had 3 large units for seven years and an additional smaller unit for two years. For the past 9 years all of our units were secure and the facility was always clean. Cleanliness, pest and rodent free were very important in our storage needs. There was never an issue or even signs of concern. Ivan was always kind and took care of every need we had with items we needed to secure and store. Access was always easy. Everything was alright I got the keys this morning your morning shift this morning was on the ball I was in and out so quick. The transmission on truck was very rough but understandable with a truck that had 120 000 miles on it. The biggest issue I had with this location is when we dropped off the trucking gave the key to the rep up front It was such an awkward interaction he had his feet up and on his phone and when I asked about a 20$ fee for dropping it off. The rep made me feel really stupid and told me â€œIt's not after hoursâ€ well no shit Sherlock. he spent no time with me about how the drop off works. I wasn't familiar with the online checkin, vehicle inspection, and refill the tank policy, but its a great deal for local moving. We paid a fair daily rate along with a mileage charge, and returned the vehicle within 4 hours. Got my expected receipt amount in my email shortly afterwards. Great job UHaul!Virgil Clay A.

I booked over the phone. After I arrived to pick up my truck, it took almost two hours before I was finally on my way. The app wasn't working, nor was the website. This was not the location I originally selected. There was an issue with my reservation and wasn't able to pick up my truck for two hours. I reserved the truck online and the price was not honored. I spoke with someone at the Utah transportation office and they refused as well to honor the price online. I'm reaching out to an attorney to hopefully recoup the difference of $1100. Worst experience of my life. No one was there when I went to pick up my vehicle. Once I finally got my vehicle after an hr I found that I had no dolly that I had reserved. Had to wait another hr in hopes that someone else would return the one they had. Truck was dirty, and the charging ports did not work. Spent over 2 hrs on the phone with different employees trying to get this resolved ans all that happened was being transferred multiple times. Gross and dusty cab, the truck was in pretty poor condition, and the back was dirty. I had to sweep it out myself. It smelled like wet dog, and was covered in dog hair, making my stuff hairy and smelly. Also I had to call U-Haul customer service in order to get my truck because the truck share wasn't working, and they closed two hours early for no apparent reason. And when I turned the truck the next day, they closed an hour and a half early again!DAVID L.

U-Haul switched my original pickup location in Pleasant Grove to this Orem location. U-Haul texted me the address for the switch but not the Company name for the switch. When I input the address into GPS it brought me to a different location somewhat nearby. I had to call to get the Company name and input the name into GPS and brought me to the right location. The employees at the store said that many times GPS brings customers to the wrong location. IF CHANGING Pickup or Drop off locations INCLUDE the company name as well as the address.John P.

The van was dirty from the last person that used it. I understand that a person can be charged for not cleaning, but that charge should be used to clean the van. There were styrofoam bits all through the storage area, and the windows were filthy with fingerprints.
