My pickup was very confusing because I was not told in the emails or voicemails I received that the location would be closed and I would be doing after-hours pickup with a lock box. When I went to the website to try to check in, I had already completed express check in, and my account page had a notification at the top prompting me to complete check in but when I pressed it it just reloaded the same page. I was hesitant to complete the checkin on the website because I did not know that my key was in a lock box, and I was afraid that if I completed check in and then couldn't get the key I'd be charged for the truck - I was not informed that I'd be provided a lock box code upon completing checkin. The phone numbers for the location provided in the email went to voicemail because the location was closed. I called the 800 Uhaul number for help and they had a 55 minute wait time. Finally I got help by calling another Uhaul location that was open, and they told me about the lock box and to go to the Pick Up My Truck page, which was NOT the same page that listed my reservations and had the notification to complete check in. It wasn't listed on the dashboard and took me about 10 minutes to find. I finally got my truck an hour late. This was a very stressful experience and it would have been so much easier if I was sent an email informing me about the lock box procedureErica S.

the pick up place customer service was excellent-we are NOT happy with UHAUL it self I was guaranteed a pick up location I had call that the 800 number 1 week prior and they said YES it was going to be there-Thank goodness I called the day prior of pick up only to find it was NOT there and elsewhere-very inconvenient since this was a time sensitive event I had to rearrange the other place we were meeting and dropping off the items we needed the UHAUL for-I would NEVER recommend UHAUL for a first time user next year for this event I have to think about where and what we are going to use for the fundraiser we needed it forrobert S.

U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer 49 Houghton St, Hudson, MA 01 I made a reservation for 8 a.m. signed up for the 24/7 check in, called U-Haul the night before- was on hold for 25 minutes, I wanted to ask about the check-in process because I wanted everything to go smoothly. I was running a little late to begin with, then when I tried checking in on the website with my phone I repeatedly got an error message saying they were unable to determine my location. I had just use my GPS to get to the U-Haul location, my location was turned on. so I had to get on the phone with U-Haul I was on hold for forever by that time the guy working at the storage place / U-Haul got to work... I told him what was happening and he could care less, I think his exact words were" what you want me to do" and "we will see"... Like WtF. so at the same time I was on the phone with U-Haul I was talking to the guy he brought me into the office and checked me in on the computer while the lady on the phone walked me through the process of actually going to the website having to click settings, click on a couple other things type in U-Haul and click location on. I've never had to do this before and didn't know there was such a thing... The U-Haul storage place does NOT have WiFi btw. After I was checked in I told the guy I was in a hurry, and I'm late he said"that not my fault" I replied I never said it was I just got to go...he then started to explain things and highlighting things on my paper purposely going very slow. I rummage through my pocketbook found my own pen, signed the paper and took off. The mirror is cracked, he told me about it. The brakes would skip sometimes when stopping. The driver door only shut tight when slammed really hard. The trailer hitch light on the dash would come on and stay on even though I didn't press the button. There were numerous burn marks on the driver side ceiling from cigarettes. Next time I will definitely go to different location or find a different company to rent from.Jennifer D.

I had to go out of my way to get another item that I needed. The person where I was supposed to pick up item. the item was not there and she didn't know of it not being there. So I had to go to another stopand was supposed to get additional mileage. I didn.t get this I had to pay on other end for this. I should have got another day in the first place. The mobile app has been extremely slow And buggy during my last 2 rentals. It took 20 minutes for me to pick up my last rental in Hudson MA because of the mobile app. Your pricing is reasonable and the equipment is clean and new every time I use Uhaul.Mark F.

The check-in process was very easy and manageable. I was able to do everything online using my device. It was also very convenient to be able to rent a truck on a Holiday (January 1st). I'm very thankful to U-Haul for allowing me to have a smooth move.Diego R.

We attempted to pick up our rental and were quite delayed. We spoke with someone the day before to get all of the requirements. However, once there they requested a name of someone they could call. For one thing, it was early, and for another, people do not answer calls from unknown numbers. This delayed us quite a bit and is an antiquated system. And we were not informed in advance. I suggest in the future you simply charge a deposit in advance. Also, we never received a receipt after return and had to call several times.Robert W.

We were notified that our UHaul, which my nonprofit was renting for a full week to provide a free camp for children with cancer, was not available less than an hour before we needed to pick it up (after reserving weeks in advance). I reserved a 10 ft truck at a different location, but got defaulted to this one last minute because they didn't have the truck I reserved a week ago. They only had a 15 ft and I still had to pay the difference anyway. Really put a damper on our plans and made us late. Was also on hold for over 20 minutes with the same uhaul advertisements over and over. Tone them down if you can. There was also no walk through with the vehicle to provide me assurance that I don't have to claim damage I didnt do. Unprofessional.Kevin P.

Your reservations system absolutely sucks. I reserved a 15' truck in Marlboro, MA, got an email update I was shifted to Houghton st in Hudson MA and then got to Hudson and was told they had no info on my rental and gave me the 1-800 Uhaul #. I showed the clerk my email confirming said Hudson rental and I was told I had to go to Framingham. None of the instore customer service people could help me-it wasn't their fault-it was just the shitty UHaul rental system. I got ZERO notification my location had changed until AFTER I was en route to Framingham via the info from the 800 #. Then I miraculously got an email saying report to Framingham, but it was AFTER I was already en route to Framingham. Shitty job, Uhaul.Kevin S.
