It seems like the rental computer software leave something to be desired. It was very slow and the staff said it was cumbersome. Everything else was great!!

Got our drop off location switched out to another location that ended up putting us about an hour out of our way to drop off. Got to the location around 7pm and staff was nowhere to be found at first. Ended up finding a person later but she couldn't be bothered to check me out, just told me to use the app. I get it's not the locations primary business, but they had no other customers at that point. Do your job people.

After a chaotic morning with other U-Haul location runarounds and two hours into the mess of locating a vehicle after ours was not returned from the previous renter, the Storm Lake location/employee got us on he road with the best customer service we have had from U-Haul in the last 6 years. For those that will continue to rent from U-Haul: Our first rental was not available, the customer had returned it to another city. We were sent to another U-Haul location and that truck had a shattered passenger side door due to a rock that was thrown at it (into it), but luckily for us, there was one more truck available that no one had rented, yet. Pay attention to the details because the employees at some, do not! It was an experience as though you are 'hoping' they will take your money! Thank you Storm Lake customer Service, you made a challenging day better. It only took us 7 hours to move three pieces of furniture. You provided consistent customer service! [U-Haul overall, might want to consider reviewing it's policies and practices around rental equipment].

It was a mess from the beginning: 1. Booked a pick up truck on line. 2. Got a call saying the nearest truck was 30 miles away! No trucks on my area, tho' I've rented them before. 3. Booked a small truck van. Only going to the dump 7 miles away and just needed it a couple hours. Explained this to customer service rep. 4. Estimated use when I picked up the van was $120. Called customer service and they said reservation was for 2days. I had made it clear only wanted a couple of hours. 5. Picked up van, very dirty inside cab. 6. When refueling to get the gauge up to the required mark, turned on the auxiliary setting, which DOES NOT accurately show fuel gauge, so added way more gas than owed. 7. Returned van and was charged over $75 which included a fuel charge. 8. Had to call customer service again to get this cleared up. 9. Finally charged the correct amount of around $58. A hassle the entire way. I will not be using U-Haul again. Will call the "Got Junk" guys and save the headache.

You guys litterally screwed me out of money for no reason while being not helpful at all I will never use uhaul again and have used you 4 times in the last year. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. You would not help me change my drop of location or give me a quote. I will never recomend you to anyone and feel that I am entitled to compensation

Look up my phone number and look at the history of this messed up uHaul order. UHaul disregarded where i setup for pickup, then sent me to another location 45 mins away from my home that apparently had the only 15ft uHaul available. Get there early in the morning only to find out they never had the uHaul. They also didnt have me in for an appointment to pick it up. Also, i had to return uHaul to same location. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. So much wasted time, money, and gas. I was given false information by two uHaul stores and your customer service. I dont plan on using uHaul again or recommending you to family and friends.

Not a thing I needed a trailer last minute they provided and there wasn't another rental till the next day so since I got here late to pick it up they allowed me to keep it a bit longer no hassle, they were very kind and understanding 2thumbs up

Well, the location itself was fine, BUT the truck we rented had a gigantic gash in the top right corner and of course it started pouring rain so EVERYTHING we own got absolutely soaked by the steady stream of water gushing in. We paid over $1000 to have our property ruined. Thanks, uhaul.

There was no key drop box, which meant we had to call customer service for assistance & ended up having to return again the following day to drop off the key… that made the return probably 2 hours longer (total… 1 hour trying to find the key drop when we dropped the truck off, another hour round trip to return the following day) than it otherwise would have been.

Dimensions of trailer ramps and platform did not work. had the rental for less than 30 min and returned. Would have preferred a credit or the ability to get one that worked for a discount. Charged full rate for 30 min.

I was relocated from my original drop off. I arrived at the original drop off and they told me their lot was full and I had to go to another location. Which meant that I had to eat the mileage and gas of driving to another spot. I was told this after I arrived.

Truck was not cleaned and had almost 8 inch of snow all over and wind shield was full of ice. Took me 45 mins to clean and drive from there. I was not prepared for cleaning and had no gloves and shoes. Very disappointed, never expected from uhaul, very bad experience.

The only negative was, that I picked up the vehicle with 1/2 tank of fuel, returned it with the same level of fuel and was charged $12,95 for fuel. The assistant was trying to remove the charge however, the program would not allow it. I will be contacting UHaul to remove this charge.

I spent 4 hours driving to 5 different locations making reservations for trucks and having the person rent out truck I RESERVED right as i got there, but finally found one at this location. Overall the guy was nice but kept saying how expensive it would be to drop truck off at a more convinent location like ive done many times in the past. Once i got in the truck i was desperate to get my stuff moved as i had a small window to have the stuff moved, but immediately was hit with the smell of cigarettes which i absolutely cant stand so had the windows down in the pouring rain. A rental should be clean and smell good, not like a 50 year old man that doesnt shower and smokes a pack a day owns it. Overall not happy with Uhaul anymore as i was told from the 4 other locations that the location they were sending me to was holding the truck i needed for me. False promises only get you so far. Ill be taking this to social media to let other people know of this hassle i had to deal with and to take business elsewhere. All these inconviences and i still paid the premium simply cause i was on a time crunch.

How about getting a little more real on the one-way pricing? I had to dead head the trailer from Great Falls MT to Snohomish WA or else take a $900+ charge for dropping the thing off in Great Falls. I feel like I was raped!

My original location did not have a working lock to get the key after hours, you then sent me to a dark hole in the wall gas station to pick up another and while in route changed my truck size from 15' to 10' causing us to use more trips and mileage. When I got the truck the front driver tire was near flat and I had to fill it at another gas station with a working air pump while raining. It took five gas stations before we actually found a working air pump. I should have been compensated for the extra mileage due to a smaller truck than requested, but it wasn't the gas stations fault for the problem, the U-Haul support tech who schedule us to go to them confirm my reference number and said they had a same size available. But when we got there that truck had been rented out for the next day and U-Haul switched me to the smaller 10' without me or the gas station knowing. Also, the ghetto gas station clerk, very nice, but had no idea how to run the U-Haul stuff and had to call her boss. This was a HORRIBLE experience to say the least.

The online process was not great; I kept getting timed out. The original truck and location that I started biking was suddenly unavailable after I entered my credit card information. The online chat wasn't working. The service at the location I found was great. He was very nice and helpful.

I made reservation on Evergreen Way in Everett a month ago yet had to drive an extra 20 miles and pick up my truck in Granite Falls, WA. "What can we do to improve?" Learn the definition of reservation.

I would not recommend this location to anyone. The person who rented me you uhaul inside gas station was not very helpful and challenging to work with. As soon as I left the station with uhaul all of the problems began, I noticed there was a discrepancy between the amount of fuel needed to return on my contract and the pre trip sign out thing on app. I called the store and he informed me someone probably broke into it the night before and took gas out of it. I attempted to call u haul 3 times and they were having phone issues. When I went to fill it up for the end of the night, that's when fuel started pouring out of it so I stopped immediately. Someone when stealing gas, had done damage to the fuel line. This gas station was very unhelpful and ended up charging me extra for things out of my control. I did everything I could to get it back early in order to not leave my personal vehicle there overnight as I didn't trust that it would be safe there.

STOP charging for a two day rental and two days of insurance, when I only had the truck for less than a day (24hours)! Not sure if this is a uhaul practice or that particular locations business model. Not to mention you guys didn't have my truck after a week long reservation! I reserved a truck for 9am and ended up with one at 3pm! I lost almost all of my free help and had to pay movers!!! Very very disappointed to say the least!

Easy drop-off. I've used it twice now, and it's always been smooth sailing. The drop-off location is at a gas station, so it is really easy to top off right before returning the vehicle.

Front right tire was low and it stated that when I got in the car the sales person at the store just said oh it's just a sensor out and I ended up putting a 40 pounds of pressure in there. The inside of the truck was dirty as well as the cab inside of the truck had old Packing sheets still in the truck.

The gas cap was unscrewed upon initial inspection of the truck. I took a pic and told the rep. She said they have people (steal) siphon has at night. When I started the truck the gas gauge read less than 3/4 tank. I took a pic. The rep sd to just bring it back with the same amount. I only drove six miles and put gas in before returning. I used the mobile app to check in and out. The app charged my card $45 for gas. I was told to call customer service when I did it was a 20 min wait. I couldn't be on hold that long. The issue is still NOT resolved.

I think this location needs to provide better customer service in providing information to customers about the process, such as getting a text to do a walk around. I was basically asked questions, which could have been explained as "verifying the rental," but it just felt like the rental wasn't set up. Then I was handed the key and told to look for the truck. There was no mention about the text to walk around the truck so I took a video of the mileage and state of the truck. It was dirty inside the cab, which nowadays with COVID was disappointing. It clearly had not been wiped down. I basically was emailed a contract with no idea any of the details like miles, gas, and mileage which is something that's standard with uhaul. This location was disappointing but I think could get better with training.

Neither of the two workers were wearing masks. This is a gas station, and most customers didn't wear them either. Separately, the person on the phone said it was located in Snohomish, not Storm Lake. The location was much past Snohomish with hilly backcountry roads.

The customer service was great but whoever rented the truck before me used it to take horse "mess" to the dump and no one bothered to check the back. The truck was junk too but I don't blame the girls at the store. When I voiced my opinion about those they seemed very concerned and even wrote down everything I said. All in all I would rent from that location again.

Although in the U-haul app I chose the location to pick-up the truck in Monroe. When I got there, they said that the pickup was reserved in Snohomish (6 miles from Monroe) that counting back and forth increased 12 miles in the final bill. Besides loosing time. U-haul definitively needs to improve the online / app system.

Owner of the store was helpful and did his best to accommodate me even though my phone died and wouldn't charge for some reason. Eventually I got my phone to charge and was on my way. I never felt like I was a pain to anyone and felt very appreciated at the end of everything. Also they let me park my car there on the side of the building for almost 3 days.

I tried to login online, pay in advance, and sign in for pick up before arriving. Still took about 1 hour to get my 6x12' U-Haul. The service person had to delete me and then have me reapply for the rental. I was charged twice some how?( just got refunded for 1 charge). Finally got my U-Haul trip finished and tried to drop it off that night. My app/ account had no record of me having a U-Haul, thus I could not drop it off. The next morning I spent 1 hour on the phone with customer service to "sort it out and get a refund for 1 of the charges". They finally gave me a drop off location In the middle of no where. A small gas station about 10 miles outside of town, when they were better and closer options. When I arrived at the drop off location they asked me if I was at the wrong location. They were not expecting a drop off. After about 20 minutes of confusion and their computer software not working they told me its fine and I can go. I did finally get an email saying the return was completed. I'm not sure where the problems came from or why it was so difficult, as every person I talked to seemed to have no idea what was going on. The people I worked with were pretty decent for the most part, maybe the software/ website for U-Haul is obsolete. Either way, when loading several thousand pounds of metal tools in and out of a trailer by my self was the easiest part of the U-Haul experience, some thing is seriously wrong with- U-Haul.
