ABS brake's unserviceable,back tires worn so not effective in winter conditions. Truck was clean and ran beautifully otherwise just needs some system love.People at the rental office were excellent kind and polite.

The employee at the Esso was professional. However the bed of the truck was covered in wet mud and smelt like cow poop. Honestly it looked like someone transported livestock in it. All my belongings smell bad after using the truck to move and I will likely look into another company if I ever need another truck.
BOWEN DTruck was left with pasta and mud in the cargo area. Smell so bad that we almost threw up. We had to get cleaner and clean it before we could load household items in the back.
TIMOTHY PDealt with many U-Haul outlets over the years, and this one quite often, and Stratford ESSO is the best.

Marys location just to find out I had to go pick it up and pay the extra kms to pick up in Stratford and then when I get there the person behind the counter was a grouch and not much help at all, when I finally figured it out on my own got the truck and was on my way, got to my location to load just to find out the dolly I rented and paid for was not in the truck like they said. Not renting there again

HONG Nall the stickers with info great help. However it would be a great idea to have one clarifying that speedometer in MILES per hour. Took me several minutes to figure that out while driving . one sticker that states "speedometer in MPH. 50 = about 80kpm, 30 = about 50 kpm", etc would have been extremely helpful. Not everyone, including myself knew all uhauls are American, that was reply I got when I mentioned this at return. Driving something very different than you are used to feels very different and this is vital information. I was panicked at first thinkng I would not be able to handle "80"!

JOHN HI would rate this experience less than a star if possible. It has been a nightmare of an experience. There was not one thing that went right with the rental. I have a complaint open reference number- 4890269. I am hoping to resolve the issues caused by all the parties involved as soon as possible. Merci.
RYAN WRented the Cargo Van. Back of van floor was not swept out...resulting in an unacceptable amount of debris. The gas gauge was marked at full (F) on rental agreement and registered the same on the gas gauge of the van....However....after travelling 13 km the gas fill up which I did personally totalled an astounding amount of $23,33 reading 13,98 litres of fuel priced at $1,67 / litre. The fuel gauge in the van now was positioned past the full (F) mark. When I mentioned this to the rental attendant she advised me '' There was nothing she could do about it'' I feel this was an intentional ''SCAM'' which was beneficial to the rental site located at the gas station .

Robert WThe unfortunate downside to this location was sadly the lack of staff and how busy it was in the morning. They did their very best to be fast, but between gas customers and other U-haul pickups it took almost an hour to get our rental, and that ate away at the time we had it booked for, only to be told we would be charged $100 per hour it was late. We managed to return the truck on time, barely and then we're hit with a refueling fee we weren't told about when we picked up the truck. The staff seemed very stressed out and overwhelmed to be honest, and I'm not sure that's U-Hauls issue or Esso's .... but either way, it definitely didn't leave a great impression.

In oast, in other cities, I have spent up to 45 minutes for receiving of keys! This was seamless. I would highly recommend ESSO St location for U-Haul rental.

Ingrid HI rented a panel van to move a large item within town. I have used this particular location before and was previously able to complete the rental process in person. This time, I had to upload pictures of my driver's license through my phone to verify my identity. There was zero information provided to me about how this potentially sensitive personal information will be stored, secured and managed. I really hated finding out at the last minute that I had to go through this exercise - when the person working at the store could have easily validated my identity without my having to upload anything. To be clear - the truck I rented was fine, the person who helped me was not responsible for the policy etc. My problem is with U-Haul requiring the transfer of personal information without any assurances or communication about their responsibility to safeguard customer information. For this reason - I will NEVER use U-Haul again.
Bruce BI had reserved 6 blankets but the Stratford location did not have any to give me. We did make do without them but it was frustrating not to have the things I had reserved there for me.

Windshield washer fluid ran out the second day of the reservation, no dash sensor to show that it was low or out. Merci.

Stewart RClean and make sure your trucks are clean and empty in the back before sending them out. Check the gas. Train staff the importance of this. I ended up with a disgusting truck filled with garbage and I won't go into detail it was horrible and gut wrenching. Yes it was nice that you gave me $100 off but I lost 2 hours of my day and wasnt able to take a mattress i had in my garage to the dump because they closed by the time i finally got a truck from you, I had a van reserved when I got there however was told it wasn't available.... I paid for gas in 2 trucks as i had put gas in the first truck as it had no gas in it and then got billed for gas in the second truck! Terrible, just terrible.

Kayla KYour app is terrible I had to call 6 people to get my reservation to even show up on it. I showed up to get my truck and the app would not work. I reserved for 7:30am and the lady at Esso said she didn't have access to the site until 8am. I got charged for blankets and a dolly that were not included in my truck. I talked the sales rep at Esso and she said she would reverse the charges for those as they were not told to put those in the truck. I never did receive an email stating the charges were dropped like she said would happen. I honestly would never use uhaul again and would not recommend it to anyone I know.
