Great service, super friendly staff, but annual safety inspection was past due 8 months prior to me using the vehicle, tires looked like the tread were drawn on with a sharpie, massive exhaust manifold leak and fumes into the cab, but that’s to be expected in a neglected 8.1L gm, had to add 3 litres of oil and pretty sure the old girl needed a set of tie rod ends, so all in all a normal U haul experience

I was told by Marnie, Cape Breton Flooring location, "I would have unlimited mileage", which was incorrect according to the personnel at the UPS store. Also, a headlight was burned out on the Driver's side.

Truck had 1/4 of a tank of fuel and wasn't made aware that I would not be reimbursed for any extra fuel when returning the vehicle. Representative simply said it is in the contract. This is very unsatisfactory. Your contract protects Uhaul but does nothing to protect the customer. There is absolutely no way for the customer to calculate how much fuel should be in the vehicle to arrive safely at the desired destination. Uhaul vehicles should be filled with gas when picked up by the customer to alleviate any confusion and frustration trying to calculate fuel levels during and at the end of the rental agreement. Would appreciate being reimbursed for the extra 1/4 tank of fuel. $60. to $70. Very dissatisfied with my experience.

Location was fine. Truck broke down while in use and a replacement wasn't brought until the next day. The break-down put us behind schedule, but we were not permitted to extend the rental even though we lost time in it.

Ask better questions, those questions are not appropriate. The location was all right. This was the only location that had the truck. The Equipment was CLEAN but a bit beat up which is not the fault of the store. So ask better questions.

I received a phone call to pick up truck in one location ..I then later received an email with a different address I would have liked a phone call explaining why my location changed instead of a confirmation email with just an address ... but brand new truck was great speedy service too great job u haul

The equipment options were very limited and the check in system froze and took longer than expected. The break lights on the trailer didn't work because the connection was corroded.

Always a pleasure to deal with Bill and his staff. Old location was more obvious. at this new location the u haul equipment needs to be seen from the road especially at night. "not the case"

The person who rented the same truck at Sydney and returned it within 24 hours in Truro was verbally advised of an early return discount. Is that something that all customers are supposed to qualify for?

allow debit/credit cards to be used at non uhaul locations. also not change mileage when you have to pick up 18 miles from your chosen location. we had to call up and get adjustments made as already upon arriving at destination...we were already over before dropping off.

The area was difficult to maneuver around because it was so busy. The uhaul was in an awful state of disrepair when I picked it up and the owner was well aware of the problems. He actually told me the lights on the dash would come on and off but that they had techs look at it and found nothing wrong but that he was happy it was leaving his shop so they could deal with it in Dartmouth. The owner did not do a walk around of the truck with me. If he had of I would certainly not have taken it just from the state of the outside alone.

We picked up the truck at 3:15 on Thursday and were done with it by around 10:00 so we dropped it off in the same spot we picked it up there was no drop off box for the keys so we kept them, Friday morning I got a rude phone call telling me they needed the keys ASAP because it was still on my nickle and they couldn't rent it out again until I did we had booked it til4:00 I was not pleased . We used a uhaul truck before and we're never treated like this. The truck had no working gauges or speedometer it had a huge dent in the hood and damage on both sides that I took pictures of so we would not be charged for said damage we were totally disappointed .

Check the widening and make sure there is not a penis spray painted on the passenger side which the driver did not see hooking up the trailor. I took this trailor to transport my dj gear to a wedding. Thank you you assholes! I'm very mad and you manager of this area refuses to do anything about this. I will be doing somthing about this! Trust me!

We picked the uhaul up at 1/4 tank and dropped it off at 1/4 tank and the guy at the ups store location charged us after we left for another $51 in gas which was added to our contract. We called uhaul, they did nothing, called the area manager who did nothing, and the guy at the ups store called us liars over the phone when we called about it. So I will never rent from uhaul again and I will tell everyone I know about this. Not only do they make up charges and throw them on your account, but the day we were supposed to pick up the truck it wasn't there and no one even bothered to call and tell us. We had to call all over the city and be on hold with uhaul for 45 minutes to try and find another truck. Bunch of scammers. This isn't the end of this, uhaul.

The fuel level was not the same as it was suppose to be. The paper said 3/8 of a tank and the truck had between 1/8 and 1/4. We had to go back into the store and show them.....then they adjusted it on the paper.

It has nothing to do with the location… but online quote for price was really good…. $29.95 plus taxes, mileage etc. We moved 3 pieces of furniture and the final cost was just over $250 plus the cost of gas. We will never rent a u-haul again, ridiculous price, and the estimate that was given in shop was over $100 less even though my husband gave an exact number for mileage. POOR POOR experience….

The only issue we had was that the price we were quoted online were not available through the in-store system. The agent had no reason to doubt us, as I produced the quote in email on my phone, but he did not have the same options in his computer system. Also, there was no key drop at this location. We did not need our rental for the full 24 hours, and wanted to return the truck after hours. As a result, we dropped the truck off, but I had to make an additional trip to the location to return the key.

The truck was not cleaned when we arrived. We had to clean it ourselves. There was broken glass, cigaret butts, broken toys and other garbage. The agent offered us a $10 discount, but we are asking for a $25 discount because we had to clean it ourselves and U Haul charges the customer $25 if the vehicle is returned uncleaned.
