I don't know who is responsible for the upkeep of the vehicle, but the fact that my check engine light came on, the steering made noises when turning hard, engine noise at 55 and brakes seemed a bit troubled has me leaning away from U-haul. I was praying it didnt break down when moving.

Improve customer service at the reservation center! They gave us a higher per mile rate as we were getting a truck locally. Then they switched it to a facility nearly in another state the times the distance. The longer distance should have qualified us for the lower per mile rate but I was told that wouldn't change it because I already had a contract at the higher price! The price per mile is based on miles driven- they changed the truck location not me. The rate should have been changed. The extra time spent driving to get the truck was also incredibly inconvenient. I will never use uhual again and have told everyone I know to stay away.

Be consistent in pricing. I rented 6x12 for $230 going from Dandridge,TN to Roscoe Il 2 months ago. Now I rented same 6x12 going FROM Roscoe,IL to Dandridge,TN AND WAS CHARGED $930.!!!!!!!! I wanted to rent it NOT buy it!

Don't change pickup location. Guarantee rental equipment. Then I pick up my truck, and the original size truck I wanted was sitting there on the lot. Customer service rep was unprofessional when I called about my issue.

The previous driver was a smoker and there were ashes in many places inside the vehicle. The previous driver also had a sticky substance on the inside windshield - looks like an exploding soda. However, the person I dealt with was very good.

No real problem at drop off except for the bill.

Gas tank was quoted as full. I got in and it was a line below the full. When returned, I put gas in until the gas stopped, but am being charged for more gas after dropping it off? I've emailed and received no response.

Was told open 8 till noon. Called to check on truck was rudely told they are not open on Saturday and you have to say what time, truck will be there for 15 minutes , if you're late, no truck. Will refuse to ever deal with this location again, ever.

I had a horrible experience. I returned the uhaul Oct 5 and put the fuel level back to full but it wouldnt register to full and the tank only went to 3/4 and I was charged for 17.00 of fuel and about 1 week and half later after dropping it off I was charged when the guy said it would be 2-3 days after my drop off.

Tony's was great - however, I booked the truck for pickup at Forest Hills Road, Loves Park, IL for 6 pm on Thursday 8/8, (3 miles from my home) and you changed me w/ 2 days to go to Beloit WI (Tony's on the IL border), which closes at 3:30. Had to pick up Friday morning - over 20 miles away. Total bait and switch - terrible system and your central phone number personnel was actually confrontational - "this is how it is - take it or leave it". Next time I'll leave it and go w/ Penske or Enterprise. You need to change this.

The contract somehow had wrong mileage listed and was almost charged $26.80 for it. Good thing I photographed gauge cluster showing fuel level and mileage before leaving. The pic had time, date, & location stamp on it. So happy I did that otherwise I would of had a charge for 67 miles at $0.40 a mile. Not nice. Very unhappy how that part went down.

I forget his name, but the man at this location who helped me was really nice and answered all of my questions - no problem. Id definitely go back if I needed to. I don't know where else to put this- my pickup location was changed because the people who were supposed to bring their truck to the janesville location were late. Not U-Hauls fault that people suck. I called back, (To a call center I assume) to ask why my location changed to further away - a hassle I wasn't expecting. The guy I spoke to was very nice and explained what happened. He then offered to add more miles so I wouldn't be charged for the additional distance. He also offered $20 dollars off. When I arrived to pick up the truck neither of these things were applied to my order, nor were there any notes added to explain the situation. I think, especially with call centers, communication is a must. Luckily the man who helped me believed me when I told him this, but another customer may not be so lucky.

Was moved around to different t locations 3times. And didnt get the truck I ordered. Crappy service I was never told to go elsewhere for pick up not to that you will actually read this I wont go through you guys again. I hope you have a fantastic day. Gobble gobble. Was disappointed that I could not pick up the U-Haul at a location closer to me. I waited over 2 hours and had to push the schedule for my loaders back. But Tony's even drove to Janesville Wisconsin to get my U-Haul. Hats off to them.

1) i book my rental(s) online at true value store in roscoe il 2) i was informed that 1 of my rental places had been changed, i was informed i would be compensated for my inconvenience in miles, i accepted the terms i used 18.1 miles was billed for 19 ( side issue ) and i did not receive and kind of compensation in mileage infact was over charged by .9 tenths I rented online an appliances dolly and a standard dolly... When i arrived for pickup i was informed no standard dolly was available and i was discounted 5.00 from the standard 10.00 fee for appliance dolly ( no happy but not much of a choice at that point im 15min away from moving out. Having rented from uhaul in the past ( but its been along time ) no vehicle inspection report identifying pre-existing damage i found strange but maybe that process no longer in place (?) Suggestion inventory everything available for rental and if 1 thing is not available dont confirm rental Who knows maybe if left at true value roscoe il it would have worked out better we will never know now will we Lets hope my 2nd stage of moving sunday works out better ??

U-Haul completely screwed up my reservation. They changed the size of the truck, pick up/drop off date, time, and location of my reservation. I had to rearrange my entire schedule for my move because of this. I reserved a truck for ONE day, but I am being charged for 2 days even though customer service assured me that I would only be charged for 1 day because of issues with the rescheduled location being closed when I needed to return the truck. Also I was told that someone would contact me within 72 hours regarding the reservation guarantee and that did not happen. When I called to find out what was going on, I was lied to and said someone called and left a voicemail, which they didn't. I was also told that I would receive a credit to my card for the $50 guarantee and that never happened either. Instead, my card was charged for an extra day. I would like my $80 for the extra day and reservation guarantee returned to my card or I will dispute the charge with my card company. I will also be posting reviews on every website I can find. Plus I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone I know. This whole experience was horrible!

Tony was very easy to work with. The truck was clean in the cab and cargo area. I also appreciated that there wasn't a dolly and bag of loading blankets taking up space on the back end of the truck. I would definitely rent from Tony again.

When renting this trailer the reservation was made at U-haul, Milwaukee St. Janesville, WI. The day before the pick-up Tony's contacted me to confirm the reservation, indicating the trailer was not available in Janesville, WI. This resulted in an additional 40 miles of driving. Also I would have liked to known this when making the original reservation.
