Cecily P*NO CONSISTENCY IN THE DROP-OFF LOCATION* I requested a drop-off location near my final destination when I used the U-Haul website, but the "drop-off" section of the contract was blank (which I did not know until what happened later). After offloading my freight at my destination, I took the truck to the "preferred location" I had selected on the website, but I was turned away. The employee said that their system showed that I had to go to a different, seemingly random location 11 miles away from that preferred location. They also told me that I was required to drop-off the equipment at the location that was agreed upon in the contract, and only there. I looked at the contract and informed them that there WAS no agreed-upon location in the contract; it was blank! They said they were sorry, but they still could not take the truck. After going to the "new" drop-off location as indicated by the employee's computer system, I successfully handed off the vehicle there. I then went home and dug through every e-mail, text and physical paper from U-Haul during the entire time period of our agreement. There was no mention of the new drop-off location in any correspondence from U-Haul at any time. How am I, as the customer, supposed to know that I am supposed to deliver the truck to a specific location if I am not told where it is? That is also more gas in the tank that I did not expect to spend as I go from one location to another! Communication with the customer needs to be greatly improved. I should not have to visit a random site and be re-directed, nor should I have to hang onto the truck until I can call an 800 number and find out where to go in order to give it back.

Terry VMy truck handled poorly, had the check engine light, and was not cleaned. When I went through the checklist and politely noted these things I was told it was "fine" and not allowed another truck.

Teresa FThe gentleman working the front desk when I walked in was working two terminals and helping customers quickly and efficiently even though there were problems with the computers. You can improve by getting him some help and computers that work. You need to give hard working employees tools so they can succeed

teather cI hadn't a terrible experience on east fifth street. Then gentlemen was very rude with me handling a personal call. Told me I need to to have consideration on the phone with his daughters mother. I record the behavior. Zendell was his name state he was the owner.

Andrea CI accidentally dropped my house keys in the after hours key drop and the staff there was incredible with returning them to me. Excellent customer service!!!!
john jOverall a very good experience, truck was ready on time and operated well. Fuel report was inaccurate, truck had less than 1/4 tank at pick up. Employee checking me in at drop off sat in the cab with a lit cigarette while doing his checks.

ricky cThis is not specific to this location, but the vehicle that I rented smelled like smoke, felt sticky, and had a check engine light. I've rented several times from Uhaul and the vehicles have not been well maintained.

Cecily PThe personnel at this location were very helpful. in fact, I got the impression that my pick-up experience would have been better if I had simply done it at the counter. Instead I tried out the 24/7 app pickup on my phone and the whole process got drug out due to signal issues and needing to retake photos again and again until i finally went inside, talked to the staff and got onto the free wi-fi.

deanah fCheck the trucks better. The actual running, steering, etc. This last truck sounded like a playing card clipped to a bike to flap on the spokes. And the was some play in the steering.

Due to the size of the parking lot, it was not very convenient to maneuver a 20' truck around to back up to the lone load/unload area. Plus, employees had taken many of the available parking spots, including both of the ones near to load/unload (and including one that was marked handicapped, but the employee's car did not have a placard or license plate), so I had to walk across the lot in the pouring rain to move boxes that were not going into storage from the truck to my car.

This location had a habit of closing the front entrance of the storage early (i.e. 5 to 10 minutes early). And not everyone gets off work in time to make it to your location by 6:45pm on a weekday. The last experience I had at your location was with Luis Olivo, who locked the front entrance of the storage early, and demanded that I go around and use the side entrance of the storage, even though I arrived five minutes before 7:00pm. Well, the side entrance door has never opened with my card. And Luis' unwillingness to accommodate me by opening the front entrance was the last straw for me. For four years, I paid full price for a storage that I had restricted access to. And your assistant manager didn't even take care to offer good customer service.
