Really glad I bought the insurance as I managed to back into the trailer while rehooking it. When returned, I pointed it out and there were no charges, no arguments, 3rd degree of what happened, no nothing. Made the rental experience very simple and problem-free.

URBAN MI chose this location because it is a store front and so I wouldn't have to use the app to pick up and drop off. The person checking me in lied at first saying that the only way for me to pick up my rental was to download the app. Then as I was struggling to download it on my old phone, all of a sudden she was able to check me in herself. When I went to return the truck, there was a staff member looking at the truck next to mine in the return bay. He ignored me and did not want to help me. He said that it would cost me an extra $20 for him to check me out and that I must use the app. I said that no one told me I'd have to pay an additional $20 for that, and he said that I was wrong and that he was sure someone told me. I did not appreciate him calling me a liar. Once again I had a hard time downloading the app. He just kept pointing at the QR code and ignoring me. If there are staff members available, I don't understand why they try harder to avoid helping me than they would trying to assist me. Not everyone has phones with enough data and capabilities to use an app. This soured my experience and I will not use Uhaul again.
Leah CI signed up for in-person check-in at the office and was told my reservation had changed to self-service without my consent. I struggled to complete the reservation via the app because it was not responding to my location. Staff was very helpful but I felt bad because they were not able to just complete my reservation like how I had requested and instead had to help trouble shoot the app. I am dissatisfied with the change to self-service.
Juan MThe only issue I have is the half stairs, kinda makes it inconvenient if you don't have an elevation device, creating an even longer day when moving. And the measurements for their 8x8x8 are slightly off, I'm 6ft+, and I cannot stand up inside of storage, even the door for the storage is short, plus maybe a light would be helpful also it at least a plug in for one. Staff was helpful tho and friendly so I can't really be unhappy since I'm dealing with helpful smiling people.

DAVID HI rent a truck from time to time as I coordinate charity events. Previously, I always went to a U-Haul location a few miles south of my residence because it was a bigger store. After trying this location on Federal Blvd, I will always go back there. Great staff and excellent service!

DOUGLAS OThis is more for corporate. Your app is miserable, better than standing in a line, but really I should be able to scan and drive away. Have cameras to auto document damage. If you have my license and everything, I should be spending no more than a minute scanning a QR code , getting the keys , and being gone.

JADE HI have never had a location insist that I return a trailer through the app or threaten to charge me $20 if I didn't, not unload the two dozen pads, and tell me to park it for them. At least she helped me unhook it. I will make sure that I choose another location when I return a trailer to Denver.
DOMINIC YWell first of all it longer than expected to complete the rental check out process. There seemed to not be enough staff to accommodate your customers. The U-Haul was extremely low on gas when I checked it out. I was even informed that I would get a $20 credit for gas once I brought it back. I was given permission from an employee to return the truck by 10 pm bc I was originally told to return the truck by 2:30 pm. I understand that the milage was underestimated. I already prepaid $140 and then now you are trying to charge me another $108 I am a single disabled woman and I wasn't expecting to pay another 108. I believe you guys are charging me for an extra day and an extra day insurance. The supervisor was rude and did not have sympathy.
GUADALUPE NThis store is the only one I like to deal with cuz every time I rent a truck or van everything seems to work out perfect. And I recommend you guys to all my friends and others.
CHRISTOPHER GNot let anyone rent a truck from you and give you somebody's name as a reference without there permission or signature. I got stuck with a E alert because someone gave U-Haul my name as a reference when they rented a truck from you, and I was never contacted and I certainly never gave my permission or approval, and si when I went to rent a truck on november 1st, 2024 I was obligated to pay their remaining balance before I could rent a truck for myself. That is as far as I'm concerned illegal and identity theft.

Emanuel CI went to U-Haul on South Federal in Denver to rent a 10 foot truck for a few hours. The confirmation was very straightforward, and the service was excellent -- friendly, efficient, helpful, informative. The truck was in excellent condition, very clean, and operated perfectly. Many thanks to Darius for great service -- I highly recommend this location!
Lisa HThe truck had a hole in the gas tank and a service man lined up by U-Haul came twice to fix it twice. We lost a lot of gas twice when filling the tank the first time, then again after it was to have been "repaired". I requested a new truck and that was denied. We found out that someone had made the hole in the tank that wanted to siphon gas. The truck was repaired around 1AM and we had an incredibly busy day to have the truck loaded then head out on our move. It was not fun and I still have not been compensated for gas lost. I uploaded receipts through the app and also sent them to the person at U-Haul that was helping resolve the issue. Next time, replace the truck. I should not have had to go through this. The loss of gas and environmental issue of losing gas is unacceptable. We did not have any troubles with the truck on our move after that. However, I was told at the pick up location that since the truck was at 1/4 tank, any gas over that amount when it was returned would be refunded and I haven't seen that either. The tank was at 5/8 when we turned it in. I believe I'm entitled to compensation for the gas lost through the hole in the tank and the difference between 1/4 and 5/8 at a minimum.

Then I got charged full price for the rental. I believe I should have been compensated for my bad experience. I'm not dire if I will ever rent from u haul again.

Cali ZWash the windows!! They were covered with bugs on the outside and grime on the inside. First stop was at a gas station to clean the windows as they were a driving safety hazard. Also, I asked about a lock, the the guy at the desk said I needed to purchase this round lock for $12 and that the only way anyone could get in was to use a grinder. That night when I had the truck loaded and opened the package for the new lock, it did not fit!! It was completely useless and I had to go to a store to purchase another lock as I had 2 nights of travel and hotel stays. You need to confirm a lock actually works on the truck before you sell it!!

Then the guy proceeded to upsale me on a larger first floor unit that was double the price. What a terrible way to do business - you guys should be ashamed. Fix the descriptions and stop ripping people off.

I said sure, the least I could do right? Well we rented a van from uhaul, took it home and loaded it, it sat for 3 days why idk but I was getting nervous. I didn't want her to have to pay for it sitting any longer and when 3 in the afternoon rolled around, I took the van back to uhaul and turned it in. She was livid! All baby stuff they needed. Hope next time she stays on task. Of course uhaul didn't want to take it back with a load, but not alot of options for either of us. It was a nightmare. $200 cleaning fee, storage, truck refill... I thought I cant afford any of it. The next day a friend paid the fee of $90,54 to uhaul so my friend could get her things. I tell ya i was besides myself with the whole thing, but the ppl at uhaul understood what was happening and cancelled all the fees and just charged us for maintenance and refuel. I may have red flagged myself from renting there, but I am very happy with uhaul. Smh... :)
