Very helpful staff members, and available equipment with lost of space to maneuver trucks and trailers
MARCO MHad many issues with this trailer ! Beginning when I arrived front right axle tire was very low. And no ther trailer available this size to use . Also while driving at night my lights were flicking off and on causing many Stops throughout the way and verified that it was on the trailers side .

JUAN CAfter two texts sent to me about location changes- this is the last text I got at 11:30 pm the night before the move. And the truck could NOT be picked up by the app. We had to wait until 7am for the store to open which put our paid movers behind. So disappointing and so dissatisfied with the 24/7 customer service rep who we called in the morning and could care less about our problem and quickly transferred us to someone else. Michael CMy experience with this move-in was not ideal. I had reserved a unit in January only to be told on move-in day that my reservation could not be honored. Staff was nice and apologetic, and offered an available split 10x10 on a 2nd floor walk up. GM was able to correct the pricing to a sole 5x10 the following day. Still not happy that I'll be moving furniture down stairs when school starts up again.

Truck wasn't clean there was a canned cream of mushrooms, bad odor/musty smell had to get an air fresher for the 8hr drive not to mention the headlights weren't facing on the road, they were pointed to the sky right. It was Extremely dangerous and caused a huge delay because I couldn't drive comfortably at night , ALSO when asking for a cheaper option worker appeared agitated and became vulgar so wasnt really left with another choice but to spend 1,3k for 650 miles... a discount wasn't even offered for the inconvenience, and big delay that was caused on their behalf due to poor maintenance and pre inspection on the vehicle before renting it out to myself.

JOHAN RWhile the truck ran fine, the check engine light was on the first time I started it up. The truck was also old and smelled like cigarettes and sweat. While it wasn't dirty, the age of the truck left everything with a layer of grime. I wanted to wash my hands every time I stepped out of it. The employees at the pick up location were extremely polite and helpful. The app was giving me trouble and the gentleman at the counter looked it over with me and we couldn't figure it out, so we ended up checking in the traditional way. The interior of the lobby was clean and everything was in order. Outside of the age and worn state of the truck, the experience was pleasant.

A customer service representative name SHEELA, such an awesome lady who helped me to in all my quarries and supported to get the manager on line, as I was in the bad situation. James the store manager of 4240 Camelback rd Phoenix, is a great man, helped me in the middle of the night to get my left over stuff from the truck. GOD BLESS YOU MAN! I would really appreciate U-haul for being so kind with me, also I am totally impressed with your service. Thank you Thankyou guys.

JORGE ATruck had NO FUEL. Low Fuel warning was on when I first started it. The paper said it should have 1/4 tank, in reality the needle was on Empty. The contract states that the customer must return the vehicle fully fueled or they incur a refueling charge and inflated fuel price per gallon. Why are the trucks rented out without a full tank to the next customer? Massive inconvenience and poor service. I'll be disputing the uhaul charge with my Amex for a credit for the 6 gallons of fuel I had to add to the truck just to get it to 1/8 tank.

He also never gave me any drop-off receipt and I thought he had electronically checked it in, until 2 days later when I received a call saying it was late since it wasn't checked in. I guess it got figured out eventually but didn't give me a good experience.

TONEESHA CThe windows were absolutely filthy..I cleaned the windshield, with the help of the manager, but I still couldn't see out of the rest of them. The documentation on the gas tank, said it was 3/4 fill, when it was actually barely a half a tank. The manager did adjust it, with my asking, on the paperwork.. But not in the computer, as he said he would. (I'm so glad I had him verify it on the paperwork. And initial it.) They could do So much better.

ISRAEL OThe staff was so friendly & helpful! Previous manager Natalie was always kind & considerate. New manager James customer service was above & beyond excellent! Rarely do you find people that are exceptional in every way like James! He works hard to make sure his customers are treated well & have everything needed to accomplish storage or moving needs. Now live in East Mesa, need to rent smaller unit, only wish wasn't such long drive, otherwise would be renting at James store again. The assistant manager Jerry also went out of his way to help this 'ol lady! This kind of service is sorely lacking in our current times. James & Jerry gave you the feeling of being helpful neighbors looking out for others. Can't express how very thankful I am for these special people, made me feel safe & secure! Will definitely reccomend them to family & friends at every opportunity! Thanks for all you do!!

yolanda H | Expérience généraleI had my storage unit over a year and a half, when trying to call, I could never get through to a rep at the actual location or Natalie Packwood, a previous manager would immediately put me on hold without a greeting or seeing what I needed. James Crouch could definitely be a lot more friendly and helpful as far as greeting people in person or not having a short attitude when asked a question. Jerry was approachable at my move out date. It's not in the safest area, so my move out had very sketchy characters by my car, cameras should definitely be on and alert or even security could be on site.

michael c | Expérience généraleAs a GCU Family, this was our second year using this location for our storage needs over the summer. 1) I reserved a 10" truck about 3 weeks prior to our move out. The day after I made a reservation, I was contacted and told I would need to pick up my truck at a different location as 4240 W. Camelback would not have a truck that size for that date. It was VERY inconvenient to have to go to one place and pick up the truck (which we had problems with) and then drive to the location where our storage unit was. 2) We knew we could access our storage unit from 7am - 10pm. Upon our 6:30pm arrival, we found the sliding glass doors to be locked. Our daughter had previously been shown by someone in the office, how to open the doors and secure them open while coming and going. This did not work. 3) Since the sliding doors were not able to be opened, we had to come and go out the regular door. But before we could start moving our stuff out of our storage unit, we had to move all the trash and furniture that had been left, out of the way of accessing that door. 4) We have never before had a problem with cars being available to move our stuff in/out, there have always been five or more sitting just inside the entrance to use. This time, there wasn't a single cart to be found. And we were the only ones at the storage facility, so they weren't being used. I walked down a few rows looking for an abandoned cart with no success. 5) I found two Uhaul employees coming out a far side door and I asked them for help in 1) finding a cart for us to use, and 2) about opening the door. Both were unhelpful and basically said I was out of luck. Longer office hours to deal with someone else would have been helpful. We've been a GCU family for 6 years now, and while this move out from storage was less than ideal, we do wish we'd found this location for our first 5 years of storage earlier. For any GCU family looking for a storage facility, I would highly recommend this facility!

I believe they did this because I paid with my debit card. I plan on a wide publicity campaign to warn people not to use U-Haul if at all possible.

I sure wish I would've noticed that my dog which was on leash had gone potty while I was paying attention. Thanks to the staff for observing and reporting my dog going potty. To make me even more impressed I learned my dog has been habitually going potty with out me picking up. Pretty amazing considering my dog had only been in the office before. I wonder if my dog went potty inside the office and some unfortunate person stepped in it. I imagine that a pretty crappy thing.

We wished we had started at this storage place 4 years ago with our first daughter at GCU!! Highly recommend. Getting our UHaul truck and having our storage unit the same place is beyond convenient for us!! Only complaint I would have would be in regards to our move out last Thursday. Storage hours are posted as 5:00am - 10:00pm. We arrived to the storage facility a little after 7:30 on Thursday 8/31, to unload our unit into the truck. While we could get in/out of the regular door with our access code, the wide sliding doors would not open. I called and then was prompted to leave a text at the after hours number for Natalie, with no response. We just assumed if storage access was until 10:00pm that the sliding doors would be unlocked. Looking forward to a couple more experiences with this U-Haul!!! Would highly recommend this facility!! Thank YOU!!

Which I told him it was a red lock. He should have known. I was given 24 hr access and didn't have it. Had a full truck that I had to unload but couldn't. Gm was upset I called her asking how I got get number when it's posted on the building. I was told to come back the next day with no regards to anything I had planned the following day. This was nonsense.

Recently there was some misunderstanding, I sent 2 emails, which were ignored. I cannot call or accept calls at any time, it is already documented and yet UH called me twice anyway obviously refusing to use text or email. But when UH wants positive review, suddenly it can use texting. The misunderstanding solved, but no one ever can get into their heads that I can no longer talk on the phone due to medical reasons. The facility needs more quality cameras and 24 hrs access.

CATHERINE H | Premières impressionsIn 2021 This location called me stating they had a monsoon and the roof was leaking and if i can come check my things to see if my unit wad one of the ones damaged. I could not because I moved to Vegas. They said ok we will cut your lock and see if there is any damage and call you while we are doing it so you can see. I say ok. 1 week passes no call. Called them again they say we are waiting for someone to cutthe lock. 2 weeks pass no call. I go to get my things out of storage and my unti was one of the one damaged. Then on top of that i made a reservation for a truck a month before i go to get my things from storage and 7pm the night before i go to get my things Bryce calls saying they dnt have a truck for me. I had to go to another location to get my truck. Instead of doing what the website says "reservation guaranteed. If not $50 off" he gives me $19 off for their screw up. Smh. Ive had nothing but problems with this location and broken promises. Definitely would not recommend them at all!!

If they don't like you, you better keep an eye on your car, otherwise they,ll break all your windows out. How do I know? It happened to me. karin c | Premières impressionsAs has now happened 3 times with different UHaul storage locations, I made a reservation online only to show up and it is not available. This is a very common problem with UHaul as they are allowed to overbook their units and can rent them out to someone else even though you have a reservation. It is absolutely maddening when you drive a full truck to a new location, arrive and not have anywhere to put your stuff. UHaul desperately needs to update their software to prevent this from happening. Nobody really seems to care though, they just say that it happens all the time and there is nothing they can do about it. We were lucky enough to get a different unit in this case, but it is not climate-controlled as we had reserved. Being as we will be storing electronics over a very hot Phoenix summer, we are not happy about this at all. But as they will tell you, there is nothing they can do.

When I signed the lease I was charged for one. Then when I opened my unit the was a lock inside which since I had one i figured if i returned the unopened one left in my unit like the reservation online promised i would be credited but was not. Plus when contacting the staff I have yet to hear back regaurding the matter. Not the biggest of headaches just feel like a slap to the face or in other words my wallet.

Was a hassle and time consuming (I was already tired from work)for me to get into the building. I wasn't offered a climate controlled unit. it is hot, so tomorrow I'm going to see how hard it will be to switch to climate controlled. It only cost $5 more.
