Rutanya AFound dirt that needed to be swept out of the back of the truck. The individual (possibly manager/owner) that processed my order had an attitude, was sarcastic, and gave me a truck with 5/16 of a tank for a long distance trip. They also went into no detail about what was in the paperwork. I wish I would have been able to have the individual that helped me with my previous trailer rental. There were 5 other trucks on the lot and it would have been nice to have one with a full tank instead of having to fill up the fuel tank as soon as I got it. The sensor for the door going into the store needs to be fixed as you basically need to almost headbutt the door. The sensor has had issues for a month, I would think that it would be important to get it fixed.

I had NEVER heard of a trailer without a trailer jack, In My Life, and I am old, until I went to rent a 6 x 12 trailer at U-Haul. You have got to be kidding me! Who is running the show? Boat trailer, travel trailer, utility trailer, whatever trailer....whoever made that decision apparently has never towed a trailer.

They charged me more money than expected, I called over to justify the charge but the lady on the was so rude, not listening to customer's concerns, not being a problem solver. I put back the gas same way I did pick it up, but they are telling me that I did not put gas back. I showed them pictures at the pick and at the return for gas as proof, lets not just see the money, customer's experience matter. It was a bad experience

Wade KPersonnel at pickup hooked up the wrong trailer. Same ID number except for last digit. I caught it on equipment check when the license plate did not match the paperwork. Had to help find the right trailer and then help move the trailer out so it could be hooked up. Then had to wait for a second person to check the hookup.

Channing AOur U-Haul had a hole in the roof we didn't see while the door was open. Our mattress and couch were wet due to the rain while we moved due to this hole. When we turned on the heat, a bunch of sand a seashells blew out the vents. We clicked that the truck needed cleaning because of the situation and we were going to be charged an extra $25 dollars for cleaning even though we didn't dirty the truck. We just wanted to make it known that the vents blew random stuff out at us, which was horrible to experience. Lastly, we weren't given the option to drop the u-haul off in the city we were moving to, where the closest u-haul was less than a mile away. We had to drive an extra miles and then were charged for 9 extra miles to return it to the closest option given to us. We moved to Lowell,MI and the closest option to drop off was Centerpoint Mall 28th st Grand Rapids, MI. It was an extra 22 minutes of driving we didn't want to do. We were charged the same and had to drop it off far away from where we moved to. When we went to speak to the worker at the U-Haul place at drop-off, her boss told her not to help us and to file a complaint with where we picked up the truck. It felt like we were being given a run around. This was not our best experience that we have had using u-haul.
Luis RI would have given an excellent rating/5 star, but I called several times throughout the day and was forwarded onto the National call center. I was inconvenienced to drive there to ask one particular question regarding the storage facility. Once arriving, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend that the facility site take phone calls directly.

Jay BI got stuck in the snow 5 times, in places I shouldn't have. I was stuck at the bottom of my driveway from 5am-11:30am. Therefore I was late. Was supposed to hear back from a manager and never did so my brother had to pull us out. That vehicle shouldn't be on the road ESPECIALLY IN WINTER.

The floor of the unit sloped down the farther toward the back wall you went so water seeped in under the door. We had quite a few items damaged. Uhaul may wish to know about this issue for future customers.

She is knowledgeable about her job. She's well spoken and VERY, VERY nice to the customers(she has a good sense of humor too!). But she needs help! I mean HELP as in employees. She can't there 24/7. And the people(to be honest, there's only one person there), claim not to know the system because that is not the store they work usually. I am over 60(well over), and I don't like using the app! I prefer in person contact and a hard copy of every transaction. That's why I would not recommend this u-haul location because my friends are the same and they like computers as well as I do!

Jacqueline P | Online Move InMoving into the storage was a bit disappointing because there was a big Uhaul truck in one of the loading/unloading spots on one end of the building and another construction like work vehicle parked at one of the other loading/unloading spots. There are only 4 spots and it makes moving your things take longer than need be because you have to wait for someone to move. I just think that the facility is too big to be designed the way that it is…needs more loading/unloading spots.

Unfortunately, U-Haul has the worst software and computer system I have seen for modern Company that ha been a business as long as you have. Every time I've been in there the computers crash, and it's difficult for the employees to navigate you're stupid software. Does clicking on things more often make it a better system? Not very user-friendly, or customer friendly. I hope you didn't actually pay somebody to create this software. Employees were awesome though!

The vehicle I was returning had a key phob connected to the key and it wouldn't fit into the drop box. I tried prying on the box to be able to properly drop my rental off and the door fell open and that made me very nervous for extra charges. Other than that, it was as close to perfect as you could get!

Larry P | Online Move InTo begin we were guaranteed a 20ft truck (the only size that would work for moving to a new state) at a specific location nearby. The day before pick-up we were contacted and told that truck size doesn't exist at the guaranteed location and we could drive to a further location for a 15 ft truck (way too small!) They should've delivered the truck to our location instead of making us drive 3 hours round trip, taking 3 hours out of a workday and losing us that part of a days paycheck and wasting our time and stress. Once we got the truck unloaded and headed to the storage unit we'd pre-registered and that was included free with our one way truck rental, the trouble and headaches kept coming. We were originally given a 10x5 at another facility, but when we got to the unit, it's actual measurements were 5x5, even the worker said that happens, that U-Haul's dimension of storage spaces don't always match the dimensions they advertise them as, he measured it for us for confirmation. We had to call customer service (plus 15 minutes of in hold time) to locate another facility with the size we needed because the store was unable to look it up or call them. We had no way of double-checking with the new facility whether they actually had the unit available in that size, and the worker at the one we were at wasn't able to for us (ridiculous they can't call another store locally to check!). We had to blindly drive to the new facility. Upon arrival, check-in was smoothish. The young man wasn't thorough and missed some things we had to correct for him. Then he sent us to our unit and forgot to come unlock our unit for us so we had to go remind them we were there 30 minutes later to which the guy said he'd forgotten we were there. He didn't warn us of the sticky trap on the floor of the unit or point it out at all so I accidentally stepped on it moving something into the unit and ruined the bottoms of good running shoes. All of this made us late for our rented truck drop off time, and lower on fuel for drop off than we were supposed to be, we wouldn't have been if this hadn't all been wrong. Not only was this a drain on finite fossil fuel resources, it was a waste if our time, adding an additional hour of driving around for U-Haul's mistake. This all also made us so late that we missed a ticketed event and were unable to get a refund. Very dissatisfied with the company and the customer service as a whole for wasting at least 5 hours of our time, energy, and emotions.

Even though on-line confirmed my storage unit, when I showed up there was no unit available to rent. I tried calling another store but must have been directed to your main call center. The person who helped me reserve over the phone got me the correct size confirmed available but when I showed up to the store I was informed the only two units were on the second and fourth floor and there is no elevator. I finally went to a third location before I was able to get the unit.

Victoria S | Online Move InSonya and Vincent did a great job of helping me despite the system being down. This made it really difficult to get moved in to storage and rent a truck. Nothing was really explained how anything worked there and had to make several return trips to the front desk (and wait several minutes because of the line) to just ask "How do I even get in to the bay?" or "What truck should I take?" I know part of this was because the system was down and everything was crazy, but it was a huge time waster. A simple video on the app would have worked way better.

The only issue was one of the bay doors was broke so if someone in a regular vehicle had to wait to get a uhaul tuck in the bay and the number of carts availability. One guy had two carts which was all the carts on that end.

I would NEVER in a million years ever use this facility again or recommend it to anyone. It may be a better place if they got rid of the management team and start with a fresh staff.

Lot of time wasted and very irritated about the whole experience.

Initially, everyone appeared to be nice and helpful. Unfortunately, after a small mishap on my part, resulting in damage (for which I paid for in full), the manager became very unprofessional and condescending. Additionally, after moving my items out of the free storage, I had to call several times (with no return call) in order to close out the unit. Thankfully, I won't have a need for Uhaul services any time soon. However, after my experience at this location, I will forego using Uhaul in the future and go with Penske or another moving company.
