No brakes engine light came on as we were riding down the street the manager saw the rep having issues trying to load info did not bother to help and that same manager walked passed when when we brought the truck back the road at check went to go get him he blew us off. He should not be in customer service he look like he ate a badprune for breakfast I'll never go to that location matter of fact I'll hire movers with a truck before I ever go to u haul again

This drop off was fast! The truck was empty, within the miles and days I had contracted for and your person walked around the truck, checked the fuel level to ensure the truck had at least the amount of gas it had in it when I rented it - and we were done! It was efficient!!!

Make sure they know if there is a loading ramp on the smaller trucks or not. I guess I just assumed all truck came with a pull out loading ramp, but the 10' truck I rented didn't have one which made loading significantly more difficult. Silly me I know

I just have this one comment, and it has nothing to do with this location. I love the people there and this is my 5th time of renting. I have had this truck twice. Truck DC1939 / 15'. When the front tires were put on it, the steering column wheel was straight. Therefore, the steering wheel looks like you are turning left when you are really going straight. besides being a safety issue, it is frustrating. This could cause people to be confused and wreck. The road, eyes and the mind are not in sync.

I reserved a trailer with a wheel chock, but they tried to give me one without it. I don't think there is a way to specify the certain trailer that I needed as they did have one available and ending up changing me to that one.

It might have been missed on my part, but I reserved my moving Van through the mobile app and selected the moving blankets (dozen). I was not aware that the blankets were a rented item until I returned and was asked for them. The blankets were not marked as rental on my pre-paperwork and I might have missed it on the app and I really didn't need them, nor did I use them , but for the price I got them just in case. Upon returning the Van and being asked about the blankets and being informed of the charge, the guys were nice enough to let me return them the next day (it was closing time) so that I wasn't charged. If anything, I would make sure that was more clearly stated. Other than that, the rental was perfect.

Although Union was closer to rent but didn't carry what we needed, Collierville was a calm and quiet operation compared to Union. Their equipment was immaculate clean. Quick to respond to a light out on trailer. Friendly employees. Would absolutely use again.

When I first moved in my items, the alarm would go off, but staff would not check unit(s). I accidentally set off my alarm multiple times over the first year of my rental and no one would come confirm that it's my unit. That's the only issue I had with storing my items here. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Just unimpressed due to the lack of security. Luckily, Collierville is a relatively safe city, so no issues occurred requiring staff to actually get up to check the unit.

Mr. Kelly was the best help to us. He was very knowledgeable and concerned about our safety using the dolly. He made sure we were thoroughly informed how to properly use the Uhaul equipment, and he checked the wiring on my truck for me to ensure proper usage with no issues.

Upon picking up my uhaul, the young lady was very kind and informative. When I came in the next day to pick up the trailer the gentleman was extremely rude. He mumbled disrespectful remarks under his breath after he told me to "look up how to connect your car on YouTube. I mean it's multiple videos on how to do it ". I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone based off his service alone. He was not helpful at all

My suggestion would be to terminate the tech who provided an inspection to my u-haul that I drove from memphis to New Mexico. Prior to leaving for New Mexico, he was made aware of the check engine light and rather than do a complete diagnostic, knowing that I would be going accross the country, simply wiped the trouble code and gave me the vehicle back, and stated "there were no issues to report". I later found out that this was a direct misrepresentation of the status of the U-haul. During this 15 turned 18 hour journey the check engine light appeared on two different occasions. The issue was determined to be a failed catalytic converter. As a result, I was forced to spend 2-3x more on gas than what I originally budgeted for. Additionally the vehicle began to suffer mechanically to the point of a horrendous rattle upon acelleration and start up. All of these issues were already known I assume by the Collierville location, however that tech decided that those issues were not serious and that he would rather secure a sale for his location rather than secure a safe u-haul for his customer's purposes. Something I find rather shameful. The propultion, safety, and fuel efficiency of the vehicle was compromised and yet he allowed the u-haul to continue to be in service. Furthermore, as a result of the 2 different techs coming out to examine the u-haul during hour 4 and hour 18 trip. Rest assured however, this was my last transaction regarding this memphis establishment. I intend to keep it that way with this experience in mind and never return to the area.

One thing I don't understand, you fill everything outline to reserve a unit, including your payment, I am in U-Hauls system but when you arrive at U-Haul you have to do everything all over again with the person at the desk. What is the purpose of entering all your information online and then have to redo it all over again? It should have been showing your driver's licenses sign here and be done. Thanks

Went in person to close out the contract. Received text one week and one day later asking me if I had moved out. Went back in and spoke to same gentlemen and he laughed and asked me if I wanted a receipt showing it was closed out. No apologies, just "oh well ". Rented this unit for over a year and ALWAYS found it well maintained and in excellent condition. The restroom was always clean. I was never fearful being alone after dark by myself. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends. My grandson has a unit there and he recommended it to me.

Gentlemen that helped us was very helpful. Mark I think was his name. We had to rent two different trucks this week. One leaving town 26ft and one short term 19ft? in town truck and we needed storage. Very easy to book, easy to obtain and storage was clean! We have used this same uhaul place on byhalia before. Last year as well. Only one I would suggest to a friend. The uhaul in collierville on byhalia rd. Drop off in ramer, tn with Felicia was great too! She is always very nice, friendly, quick and efficient! Thanks uhaul! And the guys I spoke to on phone were all easy to understand and very nice. Shout out to Oscar and Fred!!

The positives were offset by the inconveniences. The lack of fence / gate creates security concern. I reserved the unit on-line then went in to finalize. Uhaul assumes I have a smart phone with data... I do not. So, I got there and was told they would send a text or email and I needed to take a pic of my ID and submit it. I told the guy that when I rented my truck I had to take a pic of my ID, but the he could not access that. So, I had to go back home borrow a phone set it up with my email and go back to Uhaul to finish. Uhaul needs to ask for the ID when reserving or have a way to capture it there rather than assume the customer will bring a smart phone.

This is one of the nicest Uhaul facilities I've ever used. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Not only did they get us set up in our storage unit quickly, but they also made sure our trailer turn-in experience was very smooth. Most importantly, they fixed a serious issue with the hitch installation that I had done at the Gaithersburg, MD store on Snouffer School road. The Collierville store re-attached my exhaust hanger brackets after I noticed a bungee cord that the other store installed and forgot to remove. The Collierville store needs to know how amazing they are!

I reserved a drive up storage unit over a month in advance. I called to confirm the day before that there would be a drive up unit ready for me. We arrive the day of my reservation after a long day of moving and traveling only to be told not only are there no drive up units available, there are no units available at all. After a lot of back and forth, I was given an empty unit (not drive up & required moving help). Staff looked overworked and frustrated. I know it wasn't their fault - it's the company's fault for allowing people to book reservations when there isn't anything available. Do better. I will not be coming back to this location, nor will I be using uhaul storage units ever again after this.

Feedback for improvement and/or (customer) concern: 1. Reserving a storage facility means little; as despite having a written reservation and confirmation number, bins may be unavailable and are granted on a 1st come, same day service 2. Computer system went down on the day I was scheduled to unload truck into facility. It was problematic that I had my out-of-town driver "locked up" with nowhere to go. Seems like a good practice might be establishing "Plan B" to avoid customer dilemma (nowhere to go) 3. Despite agreed upon monthly rate, UHaul increased my rate after one month of me unloading into 2 storage units. I had limited options (but to pay increased rate) other than hire movers to reload & exit facility

The manager, Mark, was always very helpful and friendly even when he was short staffed. He generally just has a very calm demeanor. I had to move out as a result of my being very ill and not being able to work for three months. When I shared the problem with Mark, he was very helpful, and he provided a solution. I'm very thankful to him for all of his help.

There seems to be a disconnect in communication at this facility. I originally reserved a 10x15 non-climate controlled unit. Upon arrival I was told they didn't have it available. They said they could get me a 10x10 non climate controlled and that they would also give me a 10x5 but it would be climate controlled. While I didn't need a climate controlled unit I felt this was a fair move and I get that mistakes are made. The said they had to get ahold of "HQ" to get pricing adjusted and they don't open until later because they are in Arizona. Again, got it, I told them I would be back around 11 with a truckload of household goods, they said that should be enough time. I came back around 12 and went in to get my units to find that the. 10x10 that was outside was rented while I was gone and that instead they got me a 10x10 and a 10x5 that were climate controlled. While this seems like a 'win' this is where things got bad. I had moving labor with was costing me around $100/hr, I showed up to the unit and the guy with long hair working at the front desk could only tell me the plan but want actually able to rent me the unit and for every question he would say "I don't know what to tell you". He then said he wasn't fully trained and that he had only been there 6 months. This seems like plenty of time to train a person. After about a half hour I walked in to see if we could just start moving into the unit even though I didn't technically have it rented. He was very unsure, after more convincing he "allowed" it. The problem with the climate controlled facility is that it added additional time to how long I needed movers. With an outside non-climate controlled unit I could pull up to the door and load directly into the unit. With the climate controlled facility they had to load items on a cart and transition through hallways and up an elevator to get to the unit. This effectively tripled the time needed to unload the truck. This cost me around $400 in additional labor costs plus additional money (maybe $150) for me to extend my truck rental and find additional movers to move the rest of my belongings. Would the facility have had the 10x15 drive up unit that I would have requested for the date and time I had requested things would have been fine. The second issue came the day I moved out. I rented a 26' truck from this facility. I showed up to get my truck, was going to use the 'self pickup' feature available online and I can't find it. Went into the shop and they said "it's because a truck was never assigned to you". They then had to check their inventory for a truck. When I got my truck it had 1/8th of a tank of gas. I feel like this is a bit ridiculous. While I'm sure that this is because previous customers didn't fill the truck up I do know that they charge a fee if you don't return the truck with the same level you left at. Seems like the store should have taken the time to put some gas in it before they passed it off to the next customer. Note: the feedback section says " Please contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.". I didn't do this. The facility had hurdles for almost every step of my move.

The customer service representative who checked us in didn't instruct us where the location of the security check in/out point. So the alarm repeatedly went off at unit assigned not knowing where to swipe security card. Therefore we had to return to the office for specific location of check in device. Some inconvenience do this matter. This could have been avoided initially if it were totally explained during check in. My husband and I went to the storage facility waited 10 minutes to be helped, the person who helped turned us away and said there were no available storage rooms although we saw in the screen a large amount of empty spots. We were told they only help people with online reservations I went online a few hours later and reserved a storage room. Very poor customer service

This was the worst Expereince. Started off with Uhaul Nashville renting me broken truck causing me to have tp spend money for another nite in a hotel. After getting a new truck to drive to Memphis, I was supposed to have a storage unit available to rent 3 miles from my home. When I arrived at the SHelby Drive location, I was told no unit was available and had not been available for years. Was told no units were available in Memphis and one would need to be found. One was eventually found in COollierville, over 20 miles from my home, necessiating atr least 2 hours round trip to travel, retreieve my things and rreurn home. Have spent time and gas driving there with no access to my unit bc rthe manager took days to pay my "complimentary, sorry we effed up free storage.". Just had to pay movers over $300 extra bc we needed to make two trips to recieve my things in storage. The Collierville mangaer has been rude to me. He told me I should be "grateful" for them giving me a unit. No Mr. Napolean complex. I do not have to be grateful for y'all giving me a unit 25 miles from my home and to have your white staff be rude to me at every encounter. No, sir. NOt today, Satan. I have monghs of free storage availble bc it has b=never been avialble with my truck rental. I will probably never use it bc thi has been such a shitshow of an experience.

I've tried calling this location plenty of times. I moved out on September 25th. I had a contract up to 6 months due to Covid. I am a student and I was paying 34,95 a month. Now that my contract was up in July. I am still being charged for October's monthly rent. I am not pleased with this level of service. I spoke with someone in the 19th letting them know that I moved out beforehand. After looking at my move out record it says I moved out on the 19th of October which is completely false. This u-haul facility is in a convenient location and that combined with the convenience in office and access hours, clean, secure storage units and reasonable pricing, has made our experience with storing our belongings easy and less stressful. Merci!

Had a little bit of issues reserving online but went up to the facility and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Entire checkin took less than 10 mins.

One issue: the access card would not work. Seemed to be a computer problem. Other than that, everything was fine! Thanks,

There was only one issue, a slight glitch in the computer system allowed the young man assigning our unit and the young lady helping another customer to assign the same unit to both customers. Was a bit awkward when we drove over to the unit to discover we were both assigned the same unit. The young lady on staff however quickly found the glitch, was very apologetic, and was able to assign us a new unit. Both employees were very pleasant and helpful.

I enjoyed storing my furniture and valuables at U-Haul over the Summer. I always felt safe and secure whenever dropping things off. The unit was extremely clean and free from cobwebs and other critters that you tend to see in storage facilities. I will recommend this storage to my friends and family in the future.

The alarm sounds when I open the storage unit. The staff knows about it. I put more items in storage yesterday and again the alarm sounded. Why can't this be fixed?

I believe the young lady who helped us yesterday her name was Mandy. Overheard she was from Tupelo, MS originally. She was awesome. She helped us out with all of our needs! Best Uhaul employee!
