The service was excellent!! Very friendly and a great help. The truck, however, left a lot to be desired. It was the LOUDEST vehicle I've ever been in. My health app was giving me alerts about dangerous noise levels. I couldn't hear my gps either. It was somewhat dangerous because there was no way I could hear a siren either. It needs to be fixed before someone else uses it.

When I appealed the charge, I was told the manager could do nothing about it because the rate is set by the corporate office. This seems like a non-attempt at resolving the issue and passing on a fee that is clearly out of line with current gasoline prices at the local and national levels. This incident left an unfavorable impression about doing business with Uhaul in what would otherwise have been an excellent opportunity to recommend it to friends and family members which is what I have done in the past.

Robert SchadI rented an 8 x 5 trailer one way from OH to AR, which is a 15 hrs drive. I received a call the day before from UHAUL to let me know my 8 x 5 trailer would be available at 8:00am the next morning for pick up which was great. What wasnt so great is when I got to this location to pick up my 8 x 5 trailer, they said someone had cancelled my reservation and they did not have an 8 x 5 trailer for my rental. They did give me a 6 x 12 trailer, which was a nightmare driving 900 miles in a snow storm, and it cost me $120 more in gasoline to reach my destination. I have rented a great many trailers for personal and use in my company, however I have never been more disappointed in your service than I was this Christmas. At the very least you should credit my card back $120 to cover the extra gas I had to purchase by being forced to pull a larger trailer than I rented. Let me know what you think, if I do not hear from you I will be lodging a formal complaint with the BBB, look forward to hearing from you. Steve Kaza

Failing that, provide something to remove the snow with instead of making the customer beg you for a window scraper. Also, when a customer has reserved a dolly, provide and explanation as to why you don't have a single one available in the entire store instead of saying "we don't have any".

When I arrived to pick up the piano and pull the ramp down, of course it was not there. When I called back to the U-Haul office, they said only 15 footers have ramps. I told them it would pf been good to get this type of information before. I had told them, I was moving a piano. The whole trip was a waste, and I was out more then 100 dollars.

After signing contract i was pointed to a dolly(why not have it in truck or offer to take it to the truck). Then i was told were moving blankets are and for 12 grab 2 bags.(again why not have them in truck or offer help). When i found the truck which was a little tough in to cold rain i opened the back to put the dolly and blankets inside i found the truck has other peoples belongings inside. i went back in and was told to unload it on curb behind truck and offered a discount. I unloaded it and left. When i started moving i opened the blankets to find 2 backs only consisted of a total of 5 blankets. Upon return i was greeted by the nicest girl told her the info above and she handled it all in a timely manor, She is the reason for high marks on the survey, She saved the experience for me. Oh the stuff i unloaded was still on curb next day when i went back, I pointed it out to her and she thanked me for telling her. Im guessing she had it cleaned up

Training in all aspects of the job, regardless of which location they're from, and whether or not they have storage at there location or not, they should be trained before going to a location that does more than just fill propane tanks. This can not only be annoying but also extremely frustrating, especially when you have employees laugh and think its funny that I/anyone have to continue to go back and forth just to have something done on something they should have already been trained to do in the first place.

We picked 4 digit code to get into the building. He was not sure of order entering # or* Later got that from another employee. When we opened room there was a new lock laying on the floor. We used lock we bought on unit. I took found lock to office. Young man was not there. Another man who was from Kent location advised the found lock was included with the rental. I showed him our receipt that we had bought a lock. He wasn"t sure how to issue a refund so advised I come back when Manager was there Had him note on receipt that I had brought the found lock to office. We are happy with location of the room and was it was clean. We appreciate fact that first month was no charge also. I will stop in when we bring boxes to storage. I had some heavy stuff to store but there was no elevator to go from the second level to the first to where my unit was on the first. I spent a lot of time trying to find my unit from the oneside. The directions for the entry code are confusing for a first time user. Ultimately this was a good facilty just that first day I moved stuff in I could have used a little more help.

The other place then tried to give me an outside unit which I did not request I specifically wanted climate controlled but the new outside unit was infested with roaches. We were told that the night before closing person locked the keys INSIDE. Not sure how you locked the INSIDE then leave but guess anything is possible. The employees seem to have attitudes about management and working there. We over heard an employee telling another that he is about to quit because of manager. Being a manager at a store myself, you DO NOT voice your opinions about the store, employees or the manager ANY WHERE on the floor or behind the counter where customers can hear. 2- There needs to be at least 1Employee that can make decisions ON EVERY SHIFT. The facility itself is clean and convenient.

The ride from Maryland to Ohio was terrible because of the loudness from the vehicle (I couldn't hear the music nor the conversation with my husband) and it drove rough. The check engine light was on the entire duration. This vehicle should not be used again for long distance travel. I always have a difficult time using the mobile app for online check-in, but this was the worst experience yet. In the past, if I was a unable to use the online check-in service, which was always, an agent inside the store would assist me. This agent in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio turned me away and didn't even attempt to assist me. He said "I'm not from this store and I don't do anything with storage units. You will have to use the online checkin or call customer service. Since I was only there to check in and get my unit number and access code, I left the facility to call customer service. They were also unable to assist me. I lost my Maryland driver's license during the transition and had my VA ID and my Passport ID cards. Although your app states "government issued ID OR driver's license" it does it accept Passport ID cards for a storage facility, which is contradictory to what the website (app) states. After being transferred to 3 different people, a representative finally advised me to go back into the facility and ask the on-site agent to contact his supervisor to assist me. Finally, after an hour or so, I tried the online check in using my drivers license from Georgia that I found in a box, which I haven't lived since 2018 and no longer use, but it didn't expire until 2024, and was able to check in on the app. I've used U-Haul several times since 2004 and this has been my worst rental experience.

Nicholas Dean | Premières impressionsWhat a poor customer service experience this was. 12/13/22 at approximately 4:40PM Eastern I walked into U-Haul to rent a storage unit. There was a gentleman working behind the count who did greet me when I came in. As I walked closer to the counter he was engaged on his phone which happens. The issue occurred when he continued to be engaged on his phone and not say "hey sorry I'm talking to my manager or something at home came up, etc." There was nothing more important to him than that conversation. After a few minutes (literal minutes) I asked him if I could rent a storage unit. He very briefly showed me the units and then went back to his phone. I asked pricing questions and he wasn't sure. Eventually he looked them up and told me. I agreed to rent a unit and had to go to my car to get my wallet and phone while he helped out another customer. When I came back I started asking questions and he dove deeper and deeper into his text message conversation. Not all my questions were answered and I felt ignored and that I was wasting both our times. I also asked how do you lock the unit, and he said you need one of those locks behind you... so if I didn't ask that question I would have never had a way to lock this unit? It was at this moment I noticed him holding a blue vape in his hand... and I thought well for sure he's not going to smoke this with customers in the store... I was wrong. After the he started getting the paperwork going he starting vaping in the store behind the counter with out trying to hide it. I didn't know your employees were allowed to vape in the store? I think this is a major health concern with people having breathing issues as well... To put the final cherry on top, he gave me a key card to enter the building. Never once did he explain how to use it or show me where to go to use it. When I asked for a second key card for my wife he got an attitude and said just give me a 5 digit number instead, it will take too long to give you another key card. Guess what... I don't want a 5 digit number... I wanted two key cards. There are so many storage units around Cuyahoga Falls at much cheaper prices. Only because I need this unit ASAP will I be staying and paying for the service. Something needs to be done about this poor customer service and vaping in the store.

Alisha Sturkie | Expérience généraleI would have given U-Haul storage an excellent review But upon my move day on July 28, 2022 after having my belongings in there for two years and four months, as the movers were taking out my furniture and storage bins, I had black on numerous belongings, A number of the storage bin tops were covered in this black along with my antique cloak stand, my leather couch, the top of my dining room table, and a lampshade that was completely destroyed by the Black. I haven't looked closely to all my belongings so I could find more as I start to unpack and look over my other furniture. I know it could have been worse but I paid the higher amount in the controlled climate storage units to keep my belongings safe from the elements. When I took pictures and showed Gabrielle she informed me that they worked on the roof over my storage unit. There were no trash receptacles in which to dump the sweepings. In all fairness to the attendant on duty, he was working solo and he tried to encourage me to accept a better unit. Since the unit was near the loading dock we opted for the less clean one. The first-month-free was very much appreciated! Overall outstanding experience.

Upon cleanout, we noticed some mildew smell (and saw evidence on the AC tubes) and we had sawdust from something that resembled carpenter bees on some of our items. We were not upset in any way, it comes with an older building, but just wanted to let you know. All in all we would totally use this facility again and I have already recommended it to others. Merci!

However, I'm on a fixed income and could not arrange other bills accordingly. The store quoted me "$100" a month but in actuality the monthly cost is "$128.00." They refused to send me the appropriate invoice for payment the month of May until I filed a complaint. I have yet to receive an invoice for my "July 2021" payment.

On my move out day June 1st 2021 my movers showed up at 9am and it was supposed to be open at 8am, I had to walk all the way down and around the building to find no one in the office again, I was very frustrated because I was paying the movers by the hour so it was wasting more of my time and money. I understand if they are understaffed but it is absolutely unacceptable for them to not have anyone supervising that desk when customers are coming in. I am very displeased with my experience and will not be using uhaul storage again.

When unlocked there were things in the unit that belonged to uhaul. The man helping me said he was going to talk to a manager and we were left waiting for over 25 minutes for him go come back while being unable to move in our things. There was supposed to be a lock waiting for us in the unit when we got there and there wasn't so after making us wait for we'll over half an hour total I then was told I had to drive around to the other side of the building to pick up my lock myself. I get over to the office and no one is there and I stand waiting for 5 minutes while the phone is ringing and no one picks up or comes to help me. I then was greeted with an attitude. If we hadn't already paid and didn't have another option I wouldn't have stayed. I had a very bad experience I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.
