My overall experience was a blessing and saved me when my movers I hired flaked on me. Excellent customer service! They were pleasant & happy people. I felt informed and well taken care of. They were open on easter. The only suggestion is to put plus gas and mileage on all advertising so the next customer

Rented a 15' light truck. Steering/suspension seemed a bit wobbly, not serious, but felt like steering was not quite precise. I had to look around for a service representative to process my rental on-site, perhaps 5 to 7 minutes. Perhaps I missed this, but implementing a "I'm here notification upon customer arrival when staff is short or working outside the office? Nevertheless, this was the best experience I've had in renting a truck for moving, which I've done a lot! Eureka team gets an A+ from me!

The location is great. The guy wearing a shirt that said "General Manager" is an asshole. When I was picking up my van rental, I asked how much it would cost if I unexpectedly needed to keep it an extra day. He lied to my face and pointed at the sign on the wall behind him that said $19,95 per day and said "just an extra day". Relieved that it wouldn't be a lot, I decided not to worry about it too much. When I returned the van on the originally scheduled day, but 2 hours late (still in the morning), the same guy checked me in, and he told me it was going to be an additional $139. I protested, and he dinked around on his device for a minute, and eventually cut that amount in half and said it would be only $70-something extra. That is some serious bullshit right there, and I am unhappy with his lack of professionalism. I'm still mad that he lied to me. If the late return costs are accurate, then he fucked up by not explaining them to me when I first asked.

I picked up my truck/van with an empty fuel tank. Needing about 5 gallons (40-50 miles) to complete our move, I put about $27 worth of gas in the vehicle and that worked out about right. I returned the truck/van with the same amount of fuel remaining as was in it when I picked it up. Upon returning the vehicle I did not receive the $22 gas credit because it was returned with less than a quarter of a tank gas. Read the instructions closely because it clearly states that returning with less than a quarter of a tank of gas, you lose the gas credit. I guess I'm partially to blame because I didn't realize the tank was empty until I was severely miles away. So to make this right (in U-Haul's) eyes I had to put $27 worth of gas in an empty tank, and then another $45 upon returning it to get my $22 gas credit. One hell of a deal U-Haul. It was worthless to question the employee about the lost credit or the empty fuel tank as he couldn't care less. Bottom line, the vehicle was not returned with more fuel in it than when it left….No credit!

My senior dad rented a truck and trailer. He doesn't do cell phones. He was over charged for the gas after we already filled it to the same level ( 1/2 tank) when we dropped it off he was charged $14 because he didn't take a picture of the gas gage himself. Corrupt way to charge the elderly or people that done have electronic.

One tire on the trailer was all most flat when a load was put into the trailer. Had to get help to resolve the danger that may have happened.

Looks like a very good job (trailer hitch installed on Kia Sorento) at a very reasonable price. I had UHaul install a hitch on an older Toyota Highlander and was similarly satisfied.

Everyone I had contact with was great! Sativa, Ian, the manager, Arman(sorry, spelling). They were all very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Arman was training someone new today, Emma and he seemed very encouraging and great at explaining the different steps and processes. Emma was also courteous and helpful. I hate moving but my local Uhaul make it so much easier. PS thanks for having storage units too, super easy!

Staff who helped me purchase supplies the first day and rent the equipment the second day were good. Wish I could say the same about the General Manager who checked me in when I returned the equipment. Perhaps he was having a rough day or he was short-staffed, but there was no customer service or courtesy in his approach with me. Not exactly the vibe or image I'd think you'd want your business to put out.

Damage policies are ridiculous. The default photos are too far away to detect damage, and I spent excessive time documenting minor scratches that normal rental companies don't even charge for. The Loss/Damage waiver fee is excessive compared to rental car companies and those don't even typically include the large deductible. The "pay immediately" for damage policy is ridiculous, when my credit card has rental damage coverage that does not contain exclusions for moving vehicles, as well my auto insurance and my personal liability insurance covers this (but not "immediately").

When I showed up at 8 a.m. to pick up the truck I'd reserved, there was nobody in the lobby. I looked out in the parking lot and behind the building. After a few minutes, another customer showed up and we both wondered what was going on. I tried calling the office and the phone rang right there in the room with me, but still nobody around. Finally, after about 10 minutes, a guy showed up to help me. I later learned that he is the owner (?). Also, I had ordered 12 furniture blankets and only got six. As it turned out, I didn't wind up using any of them. But when I returned the truck the guy who helped me said, "Where are the other six?" I explained that I didn't use any blankets, and only the one bag of them was in the back of the truck. That employee was nice. He believed me and didn't charge me for the six I never received. But it still put me in an awkward position.

Ten foot truck I rented was wet inside, don't know why this was the case but the area has been hit very heavily by atmospheric rivers that dump a deluge of rain. As such, this vehicle likely has a leak in its roof. Returned aforementioned vehicle after putting 50 miles on it. Stopped and put 5 gallons of gasoline in its tank. Still, a Ms. Ellison working at the store I rented said truck from still found it necessary to charge this customer an additional $20 because I apparently did not return said truck with the proper amount of gasoline used. And this despite the fact I had a receipt showing I had stopped and purchased gasoline that showed the amount put into the gas tank and the date & time I did this. If I put 50 miles on a ten foot truck that gets 10 miles to the gallon, well looky here, that's just how much gasoline I returned to its tank, 5 gallons. Ironically, the gas gauge showed less than 1/2 of a tank of fuel when I entered it and started it up. So I took a picture of it because my paper contract indicated there was exactly half a tank of gasoline in the tank. But this was NOT CORRECT, hence I took a picture with my cell phone AS PROOF. But despite ALL this evidence, and the fact I mentioned this discrepancy via text messages sent to me, this employee still wanted to OVER CHARGE me. Thankfully, another employee behind the counter realized there was likely an error, and not this customers fault at that. He removed the additional $20 charge. But overall, this experience has left a VERY BAD taste in my mouth given what I went through. I was charged $86 for a 10' truck I used for 4 hours putting ALL of 50 miles on it and apparently U-Haul didn't think they got enough money out of or from this customer. So what to do??? Oh right, charge customer another twenty bucks despite the fact there's a before AND after photo that clearly shows how much gasoline was in the vehicle's tank prior to it being used and what it looked like after more fuel was added. CORPORATE %&*#@! American GREED at it's BEST, once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reward the current staff for providing good customer service. Work with the City of Eureka (or County of Humboldt's) public works department to address the flooding in front of the Uhaul store. There was an impassable lane I didn't drive through, heading west. I took the east route.

This Ihaul was the best of best. I've had to rent before in my 72 yrs and these guys are on the top of the list. No hassles, no problems. Customer service is friendly ,helpful, and know how to treat people that are facing one of the most stressful time in someone's life. They're awesome.

I made a reservation and paid for a small unit and when I came to put stuff in it they had given it to someone els. So I had to pay for a large unit I had to close after one month because I couldn't afford it

Ian helped me get the Transport i needed quickly and efficiently. It made for a very pleasant experience.. Ian was friendly and knowledgeable. He was even able to help a peer with a question while helping me check out!! It was nice to see him take the extra step in making Everyones transactions go as smooth as possible. Truely a great employee!

Upon rental, the storage unit smelled like mildew. Luckily it aired out and did not smell bad during the month it was in use. The unit had a leak in the roof, which destroyed one box of my belongings. Thankfully I found that out and moved out of the unit before any more damage was done. Overall this was not a good storage experience, which was shocking because I thought the name UHaul meant higher quality moving and storage. Now I know better.

The access hours advertised on the website are incorrect, this was both disappointing and ruined my moving/storage plans. The gentleman who helped me at the front desk seemed confused on how to work the computer system, which delayed me by a half hour, I should have just ordered a new unit online, which is quick and easy. Online I got a free lock, however when I did the unit transfer I had to pay for the lock, which was also disappointing. If I had known the facility would only be open during office hours then I would have looked elsewhere for my storage needs.

The facilities availability of storage units is inconsistent with the U-Haul website and application dashboard. I was led to believe that I was getting a 10 x 10 x 10 roll up when in fact, none were available when I arrived with my things. I had to pay for two smaller units, increasing my total cost of storage and reducing the convenience. It's not the staffs fault, but the owners of the facility and U-Haul need to get their information straight. Although unintentional, it had the appearance of a bait and switch. You need to do better for your staff and your customers. You got a good rating from me because the staff earns it.

OK here's the deal we tried 3 TIMES to put this unit in to DeeDee name and take it out of mine I was just doing her a favor and once we waited over 30mins to just that they look at our I D' S typed on key board went and got someone else to show them how and said done now you want me to pay 1800$ so no I'm not happy with your service, and why on earth would you allow it to get that high before selling her belongings is beyond me that's on you guys , now it's up to you to try and find her I've been tring for months , not to be rude but I'll not pay a dime for your guys mistake , my name is MARTIN M. Didn't make reservations for storage and van, so when I came in I almost had no way to move or place to put my stuff. I then got lucky and wasn't told I needed card not cash.

The storage was fine but the fact that I pod my month up and left my storage unit clean and ready to be re rented 19 days before the next payment was due and I got non of my money back is much like robbery. Your company will keep my over $100 and rent the unit out tomorrow and take someone else's money. Your business practices are immoral and should be illegal and I will never recommend usage of your facility again.

I reserved two units through the 800 go uhaul service number and when I got there they only had one unit. I had to find a unit at another storage company. Meanwhile I had a moving crew at $150 hour sitting idle. The other storage company informed me that what happened to me happening all the time with Uhaul clients. Generally, I have used Uhaul many times and am great full for their produce but this is an issue I hope they will address.

I arrived 30 minutes before closing but no one was available for check in immediately. The guy that did help me was rude and unfriendly. He was going to charge me but I was told I get one month free. We did end up finishing at 5 pm unloading and returning the trailer. I had to pick a code but have no idea what I need it for.

The main reason I'm giving a one star is because when I walked in there were three employees working behind the counter. Two of them were with a customer and I have no idea what the other guy was doing because he never acknowledged me that I was still breathing! I stood there for probably 5 minutes and I never even got a simple "Hello, I will be with you in just a few minutes." C'mon man!! What happened to " customer service? "

When we got there, the person who works there (Matt) told us we had no reservation for storage. He was very rude and did not offer to help us at all. We then spent the next hour plus on the phone with U-Haul reserving another storage that was supposed to just be included with my one way rental. I added another storage unit (so that we had two) and then when I got off the phone they told me we only had the one that took me an hour to get from my original reservation that disappeared. Called back again (since Matt wouldn't help) and they said there was in fact only one storage reservation and they didn't have anymore available. Even though I reserved the two and they took my credit card and information for both units. What a hassle. It took so long that we had to extend the truck rental return a couple hours.

this truck rental and storage rental went smooth no issues , very helpful , it was the 2nd trip/truck rental and storage rental screw up that i wont refer anyone , you can not refer anyone when you are counting on the storage , made the reservation and after speaking to corporate 4 times , finsing my storage was deleted on there end ...cant count on trucks or storage when you reserve .

Very happy with the unit, but even with a reservation, was told there was no unit available. They kept looking and found the one I had reserved was not prepared for a new tenant, but thankfully rented it to me anyway since urgently needed. I was very unhappy with the online closure process. Only allowed one pic to be uploaded while requesting 3 and still sent me an email reminder of payment due after I had sent in the closure info....you could use some IT updates! getting in and out of location was sometimes difficult. due to parking of trucks and other storage options. there were 2 times in just a couple months where I had to go to office to have them move stuff so I could get out with my truck and trailer. other than that I would very much rent again

My only reason for 4 star is that I was told twice from two different agents when I picked up the truck and returned it that the reservation I had for a storage unit was not available. When I objected they checked more carefully and saw it still needed to be cleaned but the cleaning was minimal and I insisted we would accept it as is. It was the very last unit and I desperately needed it. Thank you, Uhaul. I had a great experience in the long run.

My move from Colorado to California under rather stressful circumstances was rather difficult but when I came to check in my trailer so that I could get the truck unloaded, I was met by Shannon. She was so friendly and helpful . The facility did not have the 10x15 unit I reserved and at this time, there wasnt even a 10x10 , so a 20' truck packed to the brim couldnt be unloaded. Sol was helping me in the office and remembered someone had moved out without checking out. He contacted the people regarding the unit and success! He went above and beyond customer service. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and more than willing to help with my situation. I've used Uhaul before and will use it again. Merci

in these days is a virus staff was helpful and friendly as possible. Check-in went relatively smoothly although there is a waiting line because the virus once again. The card lock that they have instead of punching in numbers is awesome. And the storage units look almost new I even had one with a freshly painted floor

My UBoxes were scheduled for delivery 11/11/18. Then was told they would arrive late (11/13). Regional office said there would be no charge. Instead, I was billed for another month as of 11/13/18.

There are no gates at this facility, just cameras. My one issue is that the area between the U-Haul store and the storage area is being used as storage for trailers and you have to veer around them.
