They gave away the trailer we reserved (6x12) and they only had a smaller size available (5x8). Disappointing experience and we won't rent from here again.
ADAM MTo spite all of the other negative/horrible experiences with U-Haul associated with our latest move, the storage facility and customer experience we received at this location was spectacular. After a very long weekend of moving from NM to TX and the difficulties with U-Haul throughout the entire move, it was refreshing to finish the trip with great customer service, a clean location, and an easily accessible storage unit. The icing on the cake for me was the various carts available for us to use to move the contents from the truck at the loading dock into the storage unit. There were four of us actively unloading the truck and bringing the content to the storage unit. We unloaded the truck and placed everything in the storage unit in about 45 minutes. The move-in was so easy!! A very nice way to end a long and grueling experience!!

GILBERT GI reserved a first floor unit for $149 month. I never received any correspondence to let me know that it would not be available. When we arrived, we were offered higher priced units only. Due the deadline to turn In the truck, we had no other options but to accept a higher priced unit. It felt very bait & switch. We returned 2 dozen rented pads with the receipt of the rental. The attendant said that it wasn't in the system and not to worry. We ARE worried that we will be invoiced for not returning the pads!

Donna BManagement/owners need to know the lot attendants and staff were driving recklessly and dangerously with excessive speeds in the lot on Saturday 5/10. While I was very happy overall with the experience, there were a few instances where we felt unsafe on the lot. You may want to watch the camera that day for evidence of excessive/dangerous speeds - before someone gets hurt.

RICHARD SThis was my first time renting anything from U-Haul. The employee who helped me fill out the contract knew it was my first time and simply told me the equipment was due back by 5:30 PM on Sunday. He did not mention that the location would be closed at that time. When I arrived to return the equipment, I pulled into a long line of U-Haul trucks near the return area and waited about 15 minutes before realizing all the trucks were empty and the store was closed. There was no clear signage or guidance on what to do. To make things worse, the location has terrible cell service, and I struggled to complete the return using the app. I spent over an hour trying to find a spot with enough signal to upload photos and finalize the return. I had to keep going back and forth just to get the app to work. Overall, I'm very unsatisfied with my experience. Better communication from staff and improved signage or instructions would have made a huge difference.

JOSE ZThe only thing I would recommend is that when an associate is working with a customer at the desk (in store), and the phone rings, keep your attention focused on the customer in front of you. U-Haul might consider options in their contact center software for a call back, or have a dedicated person to answer the phone. It's a little "off putting" to be placed on hold in the middle of a transaction. That said, as a customer, I completely understand that if an associate is on the phone with a customer that I will be handled as soon as they are off the line. Totally get it.
JASON GI drove the truck 18 miles. I put 2,5 gallons of gas in it before I dropped it off. They still charged me for 2 gallons of gas. That is completely unacceptable. I will be seeking a refund for the 8 they charged me for the gas. If I knew they were going to charge me for the gas, no matter if I put gas in the truck or not, I would have not wasted the miles (you pay by the mile) to go out of my way to get gas. I HAVE THE RECIEPT for the gas!! 2,52 Gallons of gas. The gas meter was exactly at or where it was when I picked it up. BEWARE of them taking advantage of you on the gas. Also, The right mirror was so lose that it would spin in the wind. You would be driving down the road and it would just be facing the wrong direction. The truck was hard to shift into gear. The truck felt like it was just used and abused. I purchased the safe move protection, so it didn't matter, but the truck was just in awful shape. Like I said, I had to go less than 20 miles. And that was with making 2 trips.
DAVID CI had a few glitches. The car hauler wouldn't work for my golf cart. Wasted 2 days. I was told I would be given 2 extra days on the rental. I wasn't given them. the website as a uhaul drop off location. I was charged $40 dollars per day Also, the Uhau drop off location wasn't in business with uhaul anymore. I dropped off my trailer and was charged for extra days. It is still on the website as a uhaul drop off location.

SIMON ZThe staff member who assisted me was unprofessional in both appearance and behavior. His pants were hanging below his waist, exposing his underwear, which was inappropriate for a customer-facing role. Additionally, when I asked about the location of my vehicle, instead of assisting me or verifying its location, he simply pointed in a general direction and told me to check for myself, saying, "If it's not out there, just let me know." This lack of effort and professionalism is unacceptable. Furthermore, upon receiving the vehicle, I took a photo of the mileage, which did not match the recorded amount. Despite this discrepancy, I was incorrectly charged for additional mileage. While I have other concerns, I will refrain from listing them all here. However, I will be reaching out to request an adjustment to the charges.

But while moving we had some stuff fall off the vehicle, which indeed wasn't a good experience.
Nikhil KWe had to trade the truck for another truck since the 1st truck had to be jumped. The 2nd truck really struggled driving to Austin. The seal on the passenger side of the truck did nothing and made for it being an extremely loud drive. The running lights on the car tow were not working and thankfully we had another vehicle following us the whole way down. The staff at the UHaul location were fantastic and really went out of their way to help out.

MICHAEL JRented a cargo van for 4 hours. As I got in the van and inspected it showed the fuel gauge as full. I pulled 50 yards out of parking lot onto main road and the first bar of the gas tank being full disappeared. The van had 727 miles on the vehicle when I left and returned it with 738 so a total of 11 miles were driven. I filled it up with gas and it took 3,6 gallons, so clearly the last person returning the vehicle before my rental did not fill it up. I brought this to the attention of the staff when I returned the cargo and nothing. No apology, no offering a credit and I showed all the proof. They could not care less I have all the receipts and proof to show this and it would be impossible for the cargo van to have gone through 3,6 gallons of fuel in 11 miles.
DARREN IA few things: My truck was wedged in between three others as well as a storage container. It was a bit tricky pulling out. Not necessary. The app is also garbage…takes way too long to verify at pick up.

I was very disappointed. I will likely never rent from U-haul again.

Any time i requested assistance from your staff they either never follow up or would make me feel like i was stupid/broke the door. It would take me an hour if not longer to get this unit closed or open, i have photos and video of this happening both when closing and opening the unit door. Ontop of that? Most of my stored belongings had to be discarded due to Rats eating my boxes/urine and fecal matter scattered all over my belongings. My rent was increased with no added accommodation or maintenance. The staff are inattentive and more worried about listening to music and checking their snapchats than they are about their job.

Gloria A | Expérience généraleThis facility is in terrible condition with the exception of the storage units themselves. There was no keypad to control entry. Anyone can enter the storage building when the lot is open. There are individual alarms on each unit but hey only last a moment and there are no instructions on how to deactivate them or are there any responses to alarms. An individual with a simple bolt cutter could have a field day opening units and rifling the contents. There is trash and debris all over the entrance to the area. There was no one to receive return trucks. There was insufficient staff to service customers. The wait in line was well over 30 minutes and then the staff seemed to be more interested in seeing which of their coworkers they could palm off work to, many of the did little or nothing but spent the majority of the time trying to get someone else to do the work. In summary, the place is very busy but mainly due to poor management and worker performance. The facility is falling apart. Many things are in urgent need of repair. For the owners I am sure it is a license to print money, but they do not seem at all interested in the long haul value of their business or in providing any type of customer satisfaction. Deplorable.

I was there to puck up truck at 6:30 am was not able to get tge lock off. 2 employees that were moving trucks around tried. They said I would have to wait until 7 until someone opened the store . Well the person was late They did not arrive until 730 no it's been one hr after my pick up time. We were given a different truck never did a check in. We got one storage unit unloaded and went around to unload the one inside. Nope no place to back the truck up because umpty trailers were parked in the spots. Returned the truck at 1230 I asked to speak to tge manager about the mess of the day. Jaun was out somewhere getting a truck. So they said to call him in 45 minutes . I told the lady that my unit was now empty and told her about the situation of not being able to empty the otger unit due to empty trailers . My son left 2 messages and never got a return call. Never got the truck checked in either they said because it was raining. We never got a receipt. Later that day I called the general uhaul number and spoke to a lady. She informed me that if you do nit get the equipment promised you are suppose to get a $50 credit. Interesting that not one oerson working that day mentioned that. She gave me the credit ,sent me a receipt and I told her that my unit was empty. I also asked her to email Jaun that we would like a call back. Again NO RETURN CALL !!!. Then yesterday I got a message from your facility stating you noticed my unit was empty. So I called and spoke either Craig and let him know that he is now the 3rd person I have told my unit is empty. Your communication and customer service needs improvement. I will be expecting some money off when I empty our other unit since it was a HUGE INCONVENIENCE we were not able to do it that day !!! So Jaun you to get it together !!!

They also apologized and stated they didn't know why it decided not to run the card. Other than that, they were excellent. Well lit. Plenty of space. Plenty of carts to transport. Staff was usually always at the front desk so there was little to no waiting to talk to someone.

Expect to have to go to the office, in person, to ask or resolve any issues. During my check-in process there were untrained staff running the front desk. The owner, in person, actually said he will process my free month but he never did. As I checked out the employee working the desk was wonderful and handled my free month, hopefully. Still waiting for verification. Make sure this facility also trains you on how to enter the storage facility. Tip. You must swipe your care on the left hand card reader. Do not use the one on the right. The staff knows the one on the right doesn't work. Also the sliding glass door will always be open making the facility unsecure.

Then they did a fire inspection and update of the building that required our lock key left at the office until it was complete. It took forever and it was a pain to go to the office to key my key each time I needed to go into my unit. This June I was late on my payment for the 1st time in all these years because I was out of state at the time and payment was overlooked. I got charged $30 in late fees! They also locked my unit. I went to clean out my unit a couple of weeks after got back in town. I had already made the late payment and the lock was still on there. I had to go to the office to get it removed. The past few times I've been in the office it has been a long wait for assistance because there is only one person working the counter. Plus, I have been unable to get the location on the phone. Keep getting a main location automated system. Very frustrating experience the past 3 years. Glad I am all moved out as of July 15, 2021.

On Feb 24th, I emailed the branch manager notifying them that I had closed my account a week earlier and disputed the charge with my credit card company. I received no response. On March 23rd, I was charged again. I went to the U-haul website and closed my account again and disputed the charge with my credit card company again. On April 2nd, I received a late notice from the branch about my failure to pay for the storage unit and notification that I was being charged a $15 late fee. I again emailed the branch manager the above information and didn't receive a response. I am extremely disappointed with the branch's account management and will never use U-Haul Moving & Storage of Frisco Prosper again. They have lost me as a customer forever. Please feel free to use this feedback directly with the branch so they can learn from this incident.
