Approximately 1 hour into our 16 hour trip to Florida the service stabila trak light and hill decent control lights came on. When this happens the cruise control will not work. 15 hours of no cruise control is absolutely grueling. I mentioned this to the individual when I was turning in the truck and they did not seem to care. They told me it was because of the "weight" when I explained to him that it continued to do even after the truck was unloaded he did not seem to care at all.

donna b | Premières impressionsUnfortunately, daughter had a poor experience with Uhaul. I was with her when we moved her items from storage in Feb 2023 and we went into office and closed account. The problem was she had it on auto-pay and even though the lady behind the counter told her she'd take care of it and a receipt was handed to my daughter, the payments continued to be deducted. She didn't get a refund. So, I can't/won't reccomend uhaul to anyone.

This was the most difficult rental experience I have ever had (from the other location) and she made the end of it smooth and comforting. SHE WAS AMAZING! Robert SThis is at no fault of the rental company in Hudson but the trailer I rented has something seriously wrong with it. When I had my car on the trailer it was all over the road. It turned a 12 hour drive into a 14 hour nerve wrecking drive. After inspecting the trailer I noticed it was pieced together. Both sides were different. The diver side of the trailer was also up about 1 inch more than the passenger side and ripped my bumper off my car. I'm obviously not very happy.

THAD JWe came on the wrong pickup date and the customer service representative was able to help us. We got our UHAUL and returned it early. The agent assistant was very accommodating and helped several customers at once.

Aida RStaff, security and access were good. The unit had a cockroach when I first opened the door. Ceiling was falling in and had tape and mold all over it. I only took the unit because it was the last unit available after the hurricane flooded our home. I did not feel comfortable leaving items there but I had no choice. Would not use again until renovations were done.

Stephen CTruck that my wife and I rented was in horrible condition. Passenger door was damaged and sprung making it very hard for my 65 year old wife to get inand out.Steering was horrible. Shakes and rattles were bad. I'm A retired truck driver with Yellow Freight System. We would never allow a truck like this to be on the road.Also, the truck I was suppose to get was given out to somebody else and I had to drive to another city to pick it up. Uhaul should be ashamed.
WILLIAM SI don't even know where to start. The main thing that pisses me off is how unsanitary this place is. RATS WILL EAT YOUR THINGS AND DEPOSIT TURDS on everything else. It is a true disappointment . We lost things we will never be able to replace. Secondly, the employees go through your stuff!! Every chance they get. Things are rearranged everytime? You expect me to pay you money for destroying my worldly possessions. Very sad. You think I owe you and I think you owe me. I will have to see what my attorney has to say.

To rent a van or pickup truck. The deed to my home should have been strong enough. I think the area manager who made this rule without updating the websites reservation process should be terminated from his position. As I was stuck with a box truck as I ubered to this location. Absolutely unacceptable and the managers should not be employed.

Christel D | Expérience généraleThe counter person that waited on us everything he talked about the phrase was him repeating by law no matter what you were talking about was repeated number of times then we left the location in 15 minutes was pulled over by a FSP there was no tag I was detained for over 1 hour drug dogs searching the transport trailer as well as my truck now I will say by law the trailer should’ve had a tag on it I will never rent from this location again as long as he is employed with u-Haul
Justin MI have been with U-haul over 20 years. The U-haul at 14906 US 19 Hudson, Florida 34667 has been the best. Ive had the best service there. I have 24-hour access which was very convenient for me. They got all drive up storage units. They also have climate control units. They have a huge parking in the back for large RVs boats or whatever for storage. The storage units we're always clean inside and out. The office bathroom outside parking was always nice and neat and clean. The general manager Chandler Gilmore he has been right on top of everything. I had a chance to watch him grow with the U-haul company since the day he started. He has always made sure his customers came first. If i had any issues, problems or complaints, Mr. Gilmore would make sure it was taken care. Mr Gilmore and his staff were always polite courteous well-mannered to me and many others. I highly recommend Mr Gilmore and his staff at this U-Haul to anyone. I want to thank you all for taking such good care of me when I was there all those years. Wish you all the best.

He had us drive it through the storage complex figure a way to turn it around bring it back out where he wanted to park the vehicle. We let him know the movers informed us that there may have been fleas in the moving blankets, and all he said was OK. He did not apologize or expressed any type of concern whatsoever. This was a gentleman who really liked Customer Service skills and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I bring my business to UHAL hoping for a friendly and personal services be treated with courtesy like a business partner, friend, brother and I needed a ride home and no one offer me a ride, last time, I will be bring my business to another place, thanks for nothing. A rent car would have give me a ride back home.

william kI picked up on a Saturday around 4:55 P.M. and explained that I could drop off probably around 6:00 P.M. and I asked would they be open on Sunday and his reply was they close on Sunday at 7:00 P.M. I got there at 6:02 P.M. No one was there I left the key in the drop box and on Monday was charged for a second day. I called in and spoke to a female and was told it would be taken care of and the day would be removed. If I did not check my bank statement I would have been charged for a second day, now UHaul must reverse the second charge. If you close at 7:00 P.M. someone should be there, you can look at the drop off box and see the time I dropped off the key.

ra C | Premières impressionsThe few times I was there the, young adult guy in the place was not what I call a customer service friendly attendant. My first visit, I told him I talked to a lady on the phone to set my reservation, that I had never been here before. He asked if I was at the right place (but with a rude tone) told him I got the address from the lady's email. He ask if I knew what lot I had. My answer was no, with a load of sarcasm he said they didn't tell you, like I was lying about it! Why would I a new customer be lying. Then he said okay I guess I have to look you up in the system. He asked for my last name and then tells me a lot number and turns away from me to go about his day. I said excuse me I have never been here before can you tell me or show me where that is? He replied drive straight back, they are marked on the wall. That was the extent of my interaction with him , which was fine by me he was not much help and seems very upset to be doing his job. So we drive back and apparently you had your walls Recently painted and the painters painted right over the numbers and they are not readable. So either the person at the counter knew and didn't care, or never leaves the office, or he was new without a trainer (not likely he knew the computer systems) So I just left the office a minute ago or less and drive to the back lot. I call the office phone to tell him there's no visible numbers, and he doesn't answer after what seems like five or six rings the call routes to the main 800 number. Apparently he forward the office phone so he didn't have to be bothered. By the time uhaul answered my wife after walking through weeds and high grass to the back wall found the lot we were assigned. It wasn't going to work. The grass had not been trimmed and the lots on either side were crowding the lot. I was not getting a boat in that spot. The person on the 800# was helpful and called the GM on their cell phone and we got it resolved. I came by again before hurricane Ian and tarped and secured my boat. No one was in the office in the middle of the day, maybe they were home making their preparations. Next time I came after the hurricane again no one in the office. Went to check on the boat, and decided my 92,7 was better spent in my driveway. So I brought the boat home. Came by the office on the 17th and no one to help me again. So I emailed the GM to let them know I wanted to terminate my contract. As many lots as you have and storage boxes there, you have to many people with a code to the gate for it to be secured without an attendant, especially one that won't answer a phone or stay at the counter. It would take an hour max for someone with a weed wackier to clear the back wall and empty areas so people could get to an assigned spot. If you are afraid of throwing a rock, slow the weed wicker down and put a lighter string on it so it would break instead of flinging a rock. Or spray weed killer and misquote spray so people are not eaten alive there. Simple things that an attendant can do, easy to have them forward the office phone to a cell phone and put them on a golf cart to show people their lot or storage area. In the end the decision to move-out was based on lackluster costumer service, and ability to get to the boat without tramping through mud, grass and mosquitoes. Also, not impressed with a lack of reply to the email I sent to the GM about my move out. Very upset by the fact they took another payment, like I wasn't going to notice. Like I had not cancelled.

There are however at least one or two other uhuals in the area of NewYork and 19 and I ended up at the wrong one. I called your facility while I was still at the wrong location. The gentleman answered wouldnt confirm I was calling the right place. Finally I asked do you have an associate by the name of Amy, yes we do...Okay I am on my way. When I got to the correct facility. the guy at the counter was less than helpful, again. I told him who I was, that I had just talked to him one the phone, and I had arranged everythign prior to my arrival with Amy on the phone, that I had never been here berfore. I asked him which spot is mine, he's like you dont know your spot, I replied no we arranged this on the phone. looks me up in the computer by name and says they assigned you lot 16. I replied okay where is that? He says you dont where your lot is? I was thinking to myself he has not been listening to a thing I said. 1. I went to the wrong place to start with, if I had been there before I wouldnt have gone to the wrong place. 2. I told you it was all set up over the phone, 3 I told you I had never been here before. I asked him were lot 16 was, he stated straight back the numbers are paintred on the wall. Okay. So we haul the 25ft boat back and while I applaud you painting and updating the brick wall back there someone painted right over the numbers that are supose to be visible, they are not visible. Well we found lot 16 after my wife walked through high grass and insects to get within inches of the signs to read them. Lot 16 was not going to work for my boat. Its at least a quarter mile walk back to the office, so I tried to call the office phone. No answer, mind you I left the office less than 5min ago. The national office picks up the line. I told him my issue, he puts me on hold to call his number for the office, still no answer. I told him theres an opening at lot 45 I can back in there and come back tomorrow if its an issue. He said he would call the GM of the site, who thankfully answered their phone. The GM agreed and the 25ft boat now is at lot 45. I would suggesst some customer service initiatives with the employee that was at the desk. First off answer the phone! Second active listening isn't a fad term it is real. When we pulled out his car was still parked in front of the office and he was inside. I have no clue why he couldn't answer the phone for me or the national office, especially when he knows there are customers on the lot that may have questions. In the end we got a good spot and seems like we will be good there. I like the high concrete walls. I took a look at the camera arrays displayed on the tv screen when we walked in and was happy with the picture quality. I know there are workforce issues and the job probably doesn't pay much over min wage, so the effort by the gentleman maybe minimal as well. That said the GM was responsive and accomidating to our needs and for that I am appreciative.

The facility itself must have changed hands over the last 18 months (Approximately) and has gone down hill. It is filthy! The amount of dirt and dust that gets into the storage areas is unreal. Your stored items will be filthy! The management does not care and basically walks away when you bring it up. Homeless individuals are actually living out of storage bins! Again, management does not care.
Maria H | Expérience généraleI had one unit number 19 I went in day before yesterday to get a few things out there was a decomposing rat with maggots all inside of my storage the roof was caving in and they happen to have number one 20 which is two doors down so I have to go through everything I had to throw away all of my clothes because I had rat urine and feces on it not very pleased about this at all I'm trying to be very nice about it actually so anyway I had to relocate my unit to #120 ... Also my unit number 118 was paid up till the 20th of this month... Because I switched units they said my payments will be on the 13th...not right... I do not agree with this... I have been a pryer customer off and on.. I have never ever felt so cheated and disgraced I know it's poor matainace.... Leaking roofs... unreal 濫

The unit had a sagging ceiling liner that was clearly old, moldy and possibly had water pooling and ready to drench my belongings. The unit smelled terribly of mold and was clearly in need of an update. Please address these deficiencies and I'm sure you will then receive better feedback from future customers.

I didn't reserve bigger because I can't afford more than $90 a month. So finding this out last minute where I have to turn our truck back in and don't have options, so now I'm stuck with a storage rental I can't afford and to have to get another rental truck to move it out to another facility that I can afford.

She has been with the company well over 10 years. She is very knowledgeable and certainly knows what she is doing. She takes her time explaining everything you need to know. Her job is far from just office work. Part of her job is to hook and unhook trailers, inspect trucks coming and going, maintenance on the Uhaul trucks and trailers as need, load and unload storage boxes with a forklift, fills propane tanks, ordering products, inspect the property, and storage units, customer service and much more. But most important she always makes sure her customers are first and foremost. She Makes sure they each and every customer is completely satisfied before they leave the property. Thanks Kat. I will definitely be back. Kat is Very highly recommended.

Kat always takes time to explain anything to me. She always make sure that the customer is the most important person. She is very well mannered. Her store inside and out, impressions me. How very clean it is Everytime I've rented either a storage unit or a moving truck, they are super clean. Kat is very professional and so very awesome at her job. You can tell that she doesn't just work there for the paycheck. She takes pride in her job as manager of any of the U-haul stores she has managed. She treats everyone like the way she wants to be treated. With the up-most respect. I can't tell you how much I myself personally love going to her store and see that happy face. She knows what she is doing. She understands people concerns, comments and complaints and she deals with them in a timely manner. I highly recommend this U-HAUL location.
