The truck I was given was clean, however the truck needed maintenance in the steering. The alignment was off and the truck was all over the road. It was an accident waiting to happen. I told them when I came back and they said they would have the truck checked. However, it really was a truck that should not have been rented out.

First, "the system" messed up so someone was able to take our reserved truck. The worker then told me he'd upgrade me to a bigger truck for the price of the smaller. No problem, except the truck had a check engine light on and it drove like it. Kept getting stuck at 3000 rpms even when trying to brake. To add to it, I'm being charged what seems like double the price and I have yet to be told why. A hold of $82~ was put on my card, which makes sense at $20 for the rental, $15 for the insurance, and $50~ for the 50 miles at $1/mile. That comes out to $85~. Yet, in addition to that hold, I was charged another $70+ for unknown reasons.

I got the truck in Bridgeport and I was very impressed with such a good customer service and went to dropp it off at this facility and the 2 guys there didn't even say hi, we felt so unwelcome. They were lazy.. we were asking them if they needed to inspect the truck and they looked at us like angry because we interrupted their conversation. I was very dissatisfied with the customer service. They need a better training to give a better service .

I didn't know the furniture pads were rental materials. I thought they were to be kept. For the future just remind customers of this so they don't get charged because they aren't aware that the pads have to be returned to avoid a charge.

The Uhaul Naugatuck location is clean and well managed/maintained. I highly recommend ising them id you are in need of a rental truck for moving locally or clear across the State.

Your rental representative was 15 minutes late I was paying three people to stand around and then when I returned the truck with more gasoline than when I picked it up I was charged an additional 4 gallons of gasoline I think that was in retaliation for me calling U-Haul on the rental representative I will never use you again

Shawn at Naugatuck UHaul came to my rescue when during one of my busiest holidays as a florist-Valentine's Day- when my delivery van was involved in a collision. Within an hour he set me up with a cargo van at a weekly rate that I could extend as I need to. My Hero!

This is the 2nd time that the gas amount shown on the contract was less than what was in the vehicle, Tired of walking back in and telling them it's wrong. Also inside of truck windshield was filthy, hard to see through when sun was hitting it

The equipment was clean inside and outside BUT the maintenance on the vehicle itself wasn't in good condition,the engine light was on with many other issues. The steering wheel,seat belts,foot brake etcetera. I WOULD RECOMMEND UHAUL TO UPDATE THEIR VEHICLES TO NEWER THAN OLDER MODELS.

Greeted by the General Manager who was at the desk was friendly, and professional. He pulled up my online reservation and within 8 mins. We were heading to the van. As, indicated in the correct location, inside clean and fuel level as indicated. Return went smoothly as we were met with and employee out in the Return Area. He was friendly and professional, he went thru the return and asked if my receipt would be email or print? I choose print which added a few minutes overall probably about an 8 min. Process. I would highly recommend this location

I drove 15 total miles and so how this equaled 6 gallons of fuel. Your trucks are rigged to scam as much money from a customer as they can. I will never use u haul again and strongly discourage others to avoid you.

First of all, the vehicle I booked when I went to look for it, they gave me something else, one because I wanted the brakes went away. I almost had an accident. Thank God, I defended myself as I could. I got home very late and I don't rent anymore. That's not done. I paid 230 dollars for a vehicle and they gave me something else, but nothing. I'm alive.

Trailer had not been cleaned from previous rental. In fairness, I was told beforehand the trailer had been returned late the night before, and staff did not give me any problems when I returned it in the same condition. Plus, they did do what they could to blow out the gravel in the interior when I picked it up, the the exterior had mud all over it.

Cause you guy's say 29,99 then it's 107 how does it go from that to 107. Then I call and the kid says it's 40 miles there and back when I bring it back it's 50 then on top of it I put 10. Dollars in gas how is it better your better off paying a person or renting a truck then U-Haul you don't even get your insurance fee back 

The website and app can use some work. I was unable to mobile check-in because the app and site didn't accept and selfie picture that I took. Then to return the truck, again issues with pictures not being accepted. It was frustrating that I had to take a picture more than once, and then it was cold outside. I'm not sure if it's an issue with network or just the pictures, but some more thought and tested is needed there to make using the mobile checkout a good experience for us all.

The equipment needs to be checked thoroughly. The numerous dashboard lights should be addressed. Our vehicle had the air bag light on, the check engine light, and the dashboard red "check gas cap" light on as well. The vehicle wandered all over the road and I believe was a safety issue as a whole.

Terrible place to work, manager is rude, 2 faced, doesn't care about his employees, storage was clean and organized due to the CST Becky. Shawn is too busy giving out free months and reversing rent payments than actually making the company money. I was constantly harassed by Shawn being told that I can not be on the premises while accessing my unit or working with the company. I was fired from this location due to helping out another employee and making a complaint after Shawn deleted the hours that I worked. Management including and above Shawn does not care for it's employees or customers tbh. When a unit goes up for auction watch your belongings because Shawn will enter and take whatever he wants from your unit knowing that it is against policy. When I made a complaint to higher ups in the company regarding Shawn's actions and instead of the higher ups actually caring about the situation the marketing company president Will (Shawn's boss) threatened to fire me and another coworker at the time for insubordination just for making a complaint against Shawn's actions, deleting hours, stealing money and supplies from Naugatuck along with the other locations he visited as FRM before having the manager position handed to him, while I had already been with the company longer than Shawn. Thanks Becky and Lance for being the only trustworthy employees in Naugatuck

The crew of workers at Uhaul in Naugatuck Ct are the best group of people/workers I’ve met in a very long time and I am a retired trucker and I have met an incredible amount of workers and most of them were top shelf, but these guys at UHaul in Naugatuck are the best of the best!!

I was on a month to month billing with no automatic withdrawal for payment. I was charged my monthly payment threw my card without my knowledge and was pushed into a negative balance with an overdrawn charge on my account 2 days before Christmas….I did not give permission for automatic withdrawal

I could not ask for anything more, the attendant was extremely helpful! There used to be an older gentleman who worked there and I have to say he had an attitude and was not helpful at all. The attendant who was there was a FIVE STAR!! He is exactly how U Haul, and actually all companies should operate.

Made a reservation for storage, was told that they wouldn't be able to accommodate me at the location I reserved. Was forced to drive to another location outside of town, then was charged for the additional mileage.

Devron was very knowledgeable & very helpful! He cleaned out the storage unit as it wasn't swept out prior. He answered all my questions & it was very attentive to whatever I needed. Thanks Devron, it's employees like you that help with customer retention! As far as the storage unit seems as if it may be a hazard or unsafe unit as it'll only stay open if someone is holding it up. That is my only issue!

Wasn't happy with the fact that I was charged for the next month the day I emptied out the unit and Wasn't credited back the money. Did speak with someone but was told had to speak with someone else. Also was charged for remote access for a few months but was never given a remote. Was told I would be credited for that and still haven't seen it. Those are my only complaints. Auto pay will take your money but clearly getting it back is a problem.

My last two experiences with uHaul were extremely poor, one at a uHaul store and another at a gas station (franchise?). Both of them were for truck rental. The uHaul self storage is in town and very visible and was recommended by a relative. My experience here is very positive. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and secure facility, reasonable prices. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing storage or moving truck rental.

We had this storage space for a year and it was always clean and the staff was great. I would highly recommend them....

My wife and I booked our storage unit and purchased a lock prior to showing up the first time. To be honest the staff was extremely difficult, couldn't find a reservation, didn't explain the key card and entering and exiting the facility or anything else to us. I have no complaints about the facility itself however the customer service left much to be desired.

My initial interaction with the person taking care of me was a little less than satisfactory then a second person came along and took over the process of what the first person started and that's where things got mixed up! But when I returned to get things straightened out the guy Eli who helped me was very professional and extremely helpful! Meanwhile he was working alone and multiple customers to take care of..

I called several times about a bill, I had moved and the day I went to get my stuff I was told to come back in after to close it out so I went back into store and no one was around so I waited finally I left. I called both the location where my stuff was and the headquarters and I still got charged for a few months now I owe them over 800$. This is crazy. I had no stuff being stored and and I notified them multiple times and then they still charged me so I called again and left messages and no one called back.

The store is always organized when I come in to pay a bill, access my storage unit, etc. I am extremely happy they take the COVID guidelines very seriously to keep the community safe. The facility itself was very clean. The problem lies with the staff. There have been times when I have stood there while the employees argued about who was going to wait on me. One occasion I went in and the back door was open and there was a stench of marijuana. The final day my Son used his debit card to secure the truck but was assured that when the truck was returned I could pay cash for the truck and they would release the hold on my Son's card. It did not happen, then charged my Son's card and mumbled something about not being able to fix it. I'm glad I'm done with my storage units. I had four total at one time. I would go to another U-Haul facility in a different town.

I was the wrong person to send this to. This place SUCKS!!! I was the first person to ever rent from this place. They were still in construction. Twice I paid late fees and told them I was done and then I still get notices. They say I still owe 1500.00. It's been empty for months. Customer service they have none. Go take your business somewhere else. I wouldn't let my worst enemy go there

When I checked in, the manager who was at the desk was too busy handling a personal matter with another employee (boyfriend possibly) to provide me with accurate information. I had to walk back in to get more details on where to enter and on the size of my storage unit. Then later that night I arrived 3 minutes after access hours, but thought I could still enter where she indicated on the map "AFTER HOURS" entrance. That was NOT the case at all, so I had to call and be on hold for 30 minutes until I was finally helped by Wanda_fauber@uhaul.com. She was wonderful; however, if I knew the management was so aloof and unconcerned, I never would have stored my belongings at that facility on New Haven Rd. Naugatuck, CT.

The storage unit that I rented was great and very convenient. The experience I had renting and using that unit would be 5 stars. However, I had a huge problem with getting my UBox from this facility. It was stored there while I was moving and when I needed to get it, I called and reserved a trailer hitch to move it. It was confirmed to be reserved for me at 5pm a few days later. When I got there right before 5pm, they told me they had run out of trailers and that they'd have to go get some from the Waterbury facility, and that it would be only half an hour at most. I went back and checked at 6pm, an hour later, and they still hadn't even left to get them yet. My trailer didn't even arrive until 7:38pm, then they didn't have the tools to hook it up to the UHaul trailer hitch that I have on my car, so they told me I had to rent one of their trucks to tow it. So all in all, $80 to rent a truck and 3 hours later than my reservation, I could finally tow my UBox to my new home. The staff seemed completely apathetic to my situation and dragged their feet the whole time. I honestly think they were waiting until 7, when they closed, to go get the trailer, hoping I'd be gone by then. But I really needed to move that day and unfortunately had to work into the night because of the delay. That is what makes my experience below average. I would rate it poorly, but I am taking into consideration the positive storage unit experience as well.

Very friendly staff , customer friendly hours and times to access the units. Very well maintained and carts are always available for your moving needs , super close to my house and extremely easy to setup and rent, have used the location for multiple vehicle rentals since and would recommend that as well. A+ love them !

Employee who served was efficient, helpful and process was fast. However, he was wearing an NRA (National Rifle Association) hat and a t-shirt that said "Guns are my life" or words to that effect. A U-Haul uniform would be more appropriate, everyone is entitled to their own opinions but with all the current political issues and gun violence we found this to be insensitive.

I was very pleased with the storage facility. My only constructive criticism was that it could've been a little better maintained. I came in two days in a row to pick up things and noticed that the rodent traps in the aisle and some stained pillows in the entryway had been there for the same two days. Also, one day I arrived and there were no carts available except mattress carts. Otherwise I had a very positive experience working with the people there; and, I was very pleased with the security.

Well all was great, the only thing was , they told me I will get first month free witch sounds awesome, but when I claim my free month they told me the rule to get my free month and it was not cool.

The employees don't really know much. I asked on 4 different times to take my Son off of my account and I wasn't done. They lick my storage units when my account was up to date. They argue about who is going to help when I go into the office, they are outside the back door and they reek of pot.

Had some difficulty. Did not get pass key on first visit. I reserved one 10x10unit. When I came to check out the unit Uhaul reserved both a 10x10 as well as a 5x10. I had that corrected to one 10x10 and when I came to move in the 10x10 unit was given to another person. i finally had to use two 5x10 units. Needless to say this was very inconvenient..

What a clean and well lit facility. The bathroom is also spotless. I would definitely store items here again and the new manager Chelsea is very nice and friendly. Merci.

My only comment is sending out a late payment notice to everyone on the account when it is only a day late. I get you want to get paid, but send it to me before you send it out to the alternate contact.

This particular storage unit in Naugatuck is EXTREMELY unprofessional, STAFF (the manager JESSICA and Stephanie) are rude, lazy, and the way they interact with their customers is unacceptable. I have called the Corporate office and upon speaking to them, they agreed about my recent experience as well; telling me that each store is ran different and they are sorry; and that I am not the only one who has been having a horrible experience. Every time I called to speak to them, they lied and gave me the run around, not to mention when we first got the units, they gave us the WRONG one causing the alarm to go off EVERY TIME we went to the units. They stopped responding to my emails, lied, and told me I was NEVER in touch in touch with them. I had to start documenting my conversations with times, dates, and what conversations went on. I will NEVER recommend the Naugatuck unit to ANYONE! On the RARE chance I spoke to a NICE human being over there, it was a man named Anthony. He actually helped and showed some type of human reactions other than clipped tones, huffing, and he NEVER hung up on me. He also LOOKED out together and not sloppy and unkempt like the women who are in charge. If you use this PARTICULAR STORE in Naugatuck, God speed. Document EVERYTHING and I hope you never have to interact with that horrible human being, Jessica. It's all false impressions at the first interaction. Like I said, God Speed.

Everything was good. I asked in advance about after hours returns and was told I had to be back by 5pm sunday. To learn on sunday that I could have returned the truck after hours. Everything was fine but I could have used the extra hour. Also, for storage rental the unit is not automatically set up for auto pay. I feel like that should be an offered option. I did it on the second day.

The staff is fantastic!!! However I paid up front for an extra month to be cautious. I absolutely lost money. I wouldn't and won't recommend renting a storage unit. I understand that the company may get screwed over because people leave things and never come back. Well this is a case of me having nothing to put there and paying for it.

No loading dock! No easy access to get in. Rat traps in the units! A giant pole in my unit taking up space. No carts available. They don't have the big size units, like the one I reserved, they give you 2 units to make the size, which means you have to buy more locks . Just a million reasons to bail on this place.

this is a busy place - we were here for over a year and visited our stuff regularly so saw it a lot. Nice folks. Clean bathroom and water fountain was always appreciated.

Everyone here has been helpful throughout my time renting my storage unit. Moving is very stressful and they've been helpful with truck rentals as well. Absolutely no hassles. This location did not provide me with no added stress to my move.

We never had a problem while renting the indoor temperature controlled storage unit. We felt our belongings were 100 % safe being stored there. Any staff we talked with were always friendly and helpful!

I attempted to use after-hours access to my unit for the first time this evening. My name was acknowledged correctly when I swiped my card, but then the access code which had been provided to me by U-Haul (AND IS ON MY E-MAIL FROM U-HAUL) was denied. I am NOT a happy customer right now and am considering canceling my contract with this U-Haul!

Gregory helped me a lot with setting up my storage unit. He provided me with information about movers and trunk rental. He even came out to help me when my card wasn't recognized in the system yet to grant me access to my new unit.

Needed a place close by for storing some personal stuff when I came across this facility. Prices a good and I like the fact that the storage compartments are alarmed. Staff is great to work with. Friendly and courteous. Would recommend this facility to my friends.
