The gas indicated to me at departure was quite different than what I found once I got into the vehicle. I did take a picture of the actual fuel gauge. Upon returning the vehicle I did purchase gas to fill the tank back to that point. Upon receiving my electronic receipt I was charged for gas. I went back to the site to discuss with the employee. That turned out to be a very very negative experience.

Usually have an ok experience here as far as customer service goes but the trucks are all fucked up and have issues, the first one I got had engine and traction control issues about 30 minutes outside of columbus and I had to turn around to bring it back when I was just half way to my destination which pushed my entire day back, their best answer was call roadside assistance.... roadside isn't going to fix engine issues on the side of the road in a timely manner.... so that was fuckin dumb. And then! Then I was told I couldn't return it to a different uhaul place to exchange it for another one, so I had to drive 45 minutes back to columbus (because now it wouldn't go over 60 and sounded like it was struggling the whole time).... just think some policies need to change and people need to be held accountable for the astronomically poor condition of the trucks at that location.

We picked up a 5x8 trailer in the rain. The young man that checked us in was very nice and was happy to wait on us. He even connected the trailer to our vehicle in the rain, which we told him wasn't necessary. Glad to see someone that is helpful and happy in doing their job.

The passenger side door did not close properly. It needed to be repaired before being rented. Also the truck was not full of gas. The gauge was on "F" when I picked the truck up but when filled it goes beyond "F". When you compare the mileage I used to the amount of gas I put in it is evident I paid for gas I didn't use.

I got the truck drive it to my house set my sofa and bed in there an the bed got soaked due to water being on the ground inside the truck so I instantly took back with out using once I took back they said I had to wait till Monday to get a refund

We had the worst experience with getting a truck this weekend. First I got a call a few days before that my pick up location change and mobile pick up. We get there and the worker said he does nothing with uhaul that I have to figure it all out myself. The truck was covered in snow and had to sit there for 30 minutes to get it cleaned off. Then get to our storage unit and the movers open up the back of the truck and someone had been living in there. Blankets, cigarettes, candles, food, needles and who knows what else was in there. It was so gross. Call Uhaul and got transferred to 6 different people one being a manager Evie who hung up on me after telling her what was going on. No one cared that we had movers and this truck looked like this. They then wanted me to drive the truck back to the location and drop it off and drive to another location to get a new truck. Mind you no idea if there were drugs and who knows what in the dirty truck. They said roadside could bring another truck but it would take 3-5 hours. We were paying movers by the hour and didn't even get a new truck for 2 hours they were suppose to start moving which then cause us having to pay $200 more dollars for their time. This is such a disappointment we have used uhaul all the time and recommend them a lot but I will never use them again. This company has went downhill. Worst experience ever.

The service was excellent, however the trailer had leaves in it. We told the service rep and he cleaned it out. There was mud inside also and the service rep asked if we needed it mopped out. We told him we did not need it mopped

I didn't check the fuel tank on pickup and it said 1/4 tank but it was 1/8 so I got charged, it's my fault I should have checked but try to be correct when you tell a customer the fuel tank info

Well I was overcharged by about $18 on this most recent rental (I believe it to be a mileage calculation error perhaps) so improvement for the next customer I suppose would be ensuring accurate billing so the next customer won't have to waste time disputing the charge.

I rented an enclosed 5 X 8 trailer and was happy when UHaul associate put my trailer on my truck. When I go to my destination I was surprised/disappointed to learn there was no trailer jack. I had to use cement blocks. While putting trailer back on my truck (without a jack) my middle finger was smashed. I had to go to two different hospitals and get a ER Surgeon to "try" to repair my middle finger damage. EVERY U-HAUL trailer should be required to have a trailer jack. I sell PPE/safety equipment for a living. I also worked at United Rentals for 7 years and had no injuries with any of their trailers (they all had trailer jacks). Tom Shevlin 614-279-8720

I rented a uhaul truck, which usually come with a trailer hitch /receiver, this truck didn't have one and when I asked about it they told me if it didn't have one I would have to purchase one if I wanted to tow anything! That's crazy that I have to rent the vehicle and buy a hitch to be able to use the vehicle !

I rented a trailer and it was easy and fast. Also easy when returning the trailer someone came out promptly to help us. The only issue i had they wanted to charge for a cleaning fee (on an open trailer?) I called to ask what was dirty and since they had no pictures on file they took that charge off. I did not think we returned it dirty but didn't have any proof, since they did not either they returned that charge without hesitation. Great customers service even with the little misunderstanding. they made it right.

Staff was friendly and helpful, however first trailer I rented had a nonfunctional sliding door on back. I had to return it for a different trailer. They extended my rental time. Upon return of trailer the system must not have updated because U-Haul called me asking where the trailer was. I then told them I returned it and they figured out the issue.

I have been renting a U-Haul three times a week since the middle of August. The last 4 weeks The U-Haul truck has broken down at least once a week. On one particular day the battery died three times. Yesterday the battery died initially at about 1:00 p.m. nobody showed up till about an hour and a half later it was cold outside as we waited. The person that showed up showed up with this whole family and the car when he called me he needed directions didn't know where he's going and when he got there to charge the battery he didn't seem to know what he was doing. When I called roadside and explained to them that he had been charging the truck for 20 minutes and still it wouldn't work they said that he should be able to put a new battery in when I asked him about it he said no he didn't know anything about that he said he had to leave to get another battery he left and 20 minutes later he canceled and wasn't coming back this had to be about 3:30 4:00 I called roadside assistance again at 5:05 p.m. they told me it was 90 minutes before somebody could getto me. By this time we had been outside from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. it was freezing and this is the best I could do. The trucks that we are rented like I said last month have a continuously broke down or battery died however you want over word it. And then they have to wait 5 hours outside in the freezing cold is just unacceptable

Question 2 is not clear. The online experience was mostly positive. The truck pickup took quite a long time, and I would have appreciated some advance notice so I would be prepared for that. Also that a secondary contact is REQUIRED. I was fortunate that someone was with me. I appreciate the level of security… But the move-in process was NOT simple or clear. Having separate keypads rather than ONE master pad, and figuring out the distinction between them was confusing. I would not have gotten in when I first needed to without over-the-phone assistance, and it was cold outside. Making the Security keypad bright yellow or red, and not otherwise identical to the other would help. Also, if "After Hours" means after Office Hours, and does not refer to "After Regular Building Access Hours", messaging should clearly state "After Office Hours." Doors otherwise automatically secure, regardless. So what's the difference?? Seems unnecessary to point out. Concrete sanding was going on in a main central hallway, creating an unclean air environment for customers, and obstructed pathways. Some unclean discarded materials, like a stained mattress, an in-shower toilet stand, and trash were left in the community common areas… Items that should clearly have been disposed of. Just feels gross. I like the community up-cycle idea though! 

I had problems with Kylie from the first day of moving in my things. I reported it to the upper management and nobody called me back. There were flying bugs all over our unit. We were told they would spray the next day. We had no choice but to store our things. After we locked the unit they told us the next day they needed to cut our lock fo spray and would give us a new one When one of us went to pick up some things in augaust the original lock was still there. Staff could not cut it nor did they have the key. We paid $65 for a locksmith and they charged $11 for a new lock. I want a refund for both these items. I have hey to head back from Kylie about it. I emailed days ago. The first time I spoke to Kylie the day after the bugs in May she was terribly rude!

Overall very happy with the unit and the people that worked there. This past week they had maintenance work being done on the floors which covered all our furniture and other items with concrete dust. Everything had to be cleaned before we could move it into the apartment.

The guy who helped me check in was friendly, informative, and overall amazing at his job! I had issues with doing the online check in, and he made the whole process simple and stress-free. He gave a clear guide on how to enter the storage area, and how to traverse the building in order to reach my unit. It felt good to know that I chose the correct storage location to reserve a unit, and I see myself keeping a unit here for the foreseeable future!

You claimed that everything was climate controlled. It is absolutely not. If it was, why would it be 100 degrees as the thermostat showed. When we initially loaded into the unit a year ago, we noticed the thermostat said it was about 89 degrees. We also found roaches in the unit. We thought we saw one when we loaded into the unit. We did not have roaches. The people who work there have been great, but your storage facility is misleading and neglected.

I reserved my truck and dollys a week before. The day I get there they tell me first come first serve referring to walk ins. Representative wasn't informative on where I can find the truck he just said the ones facing the street. There were 2 sets of trucks facing the street. Also had to go to another location to get Dollys. Very poor experience.

came in today to pick up a truck and get the storage space I had reserved online. The desk person was efficient and friendly. They took care of getting my truck and I was assigned storage unit 1141. When I went to check the location I found a lock already on the unit. I returned to the desk and another person told me that was an error with the system. She said she could offer me another unit and a free months rent. I informed her that I already had the 1st month free with my past rental history I have rented many times from your facility over the last 4 years. She looked and found a bigger unit which was okay, even though it was more expensive. I thought perhaps a discount would be offered due to the first error but it was not. I thought well thats okay since I am getting a free month already. I was then assigned unit 1544. I went to check that unit and found the doorway to that unit is a normal size doorway and would not allow for some of the larger items we plan to store. I was dumbfounded as to why you would have a large unit that has only a normal size door way. I then returned to the desk for a 3rd time. I was then informed that there were no other units on the 1st floor with the large garage door. I asked why would your system allow you to assign the first unit 1141 if it was not an open unit. I was informed that it was an error and there was nothing they could do since there were no other units available. The whole reason I came to that location was that there was an open ground floor 10x10x10 and I had also rented a truck to move everything into the unit. I was told it was a system error and there was nothing anyone could do about it. It was a good thing I had checked on the unit prior to bringing a whole truck load to place in the unit. I am upset that your system would allow you to assign a unit that was obviously already rented. What would you have done if I had contacted a lock smith and had them remove the lock from the unit that you had rented to me? I know that is something your facility will do as the person infront of me in line said they lost their key and the desk gave them the number to call your locksmith to remove the lock. I could have easily came back to your desk in a day or 2 and said I lost the key to my lock and and needed the lock removed. I would then have access to anything that was in the unit as you had assigned it to me and it leagally was mine. Is this an error that is made often at your facility? I am glad now that I did not rent a unit at your facility as I would never know if you were going to rent my unit out to someone else. This type of error could be devastating to your company. Not to mention the customers that have entrusted your company to store their belongings.

Excellent overall experience in the year I used the storage. The ONLY 'snag' was a couple instances of the electronic access being out of commission. Fortunately we had nothing scheduled on the particular days. The apologetic signage on the doors was no consolation to the folks who were there needing access. A server backup or something is needed.....even tho these types of outages are far and few between. Still, an excellent experience !!

I chose 4 stars because overall i felt like the storage facility and staff were really nice. The only thing I didn't like was how far away the nearest load/unloading station was to my storage unit. My unit also had 2 doors nearby that were inaccessible.

The manager had to be forced by the regional director to allow me access to my locker after I had lost my keys. She never returned my calls and seemed nonplussed about helping me, especially since I was moving. The Regional Manager was kind enough to expedite the process for me and for that, I am much appreciative. The staff at this location, however, often had an attitude and air about them that was off-putting and I would not consider ever renting here myself again. However, the facility is decent and the security and climate control, along with price, was good.

The storage unit ceiling was a mess and our items were covered in white substances falling from the singing and our suitcases were covered with some white liquid or something like that. The elevator was small and filthy and a lot of the hallways will quite filthy. This place should be condemned from habitation until it is rehabilitated. To make matters worse it apparently has mice

Biggest issue we had is the elevators are so small . We reserved an 8 x 10 unit in climate control which is on the 5th floor. We didn't have a huge couch but it would not fit in the elevator and stairwell was too tight to even carry it up the stairs. Ended up having to take it to a dumpster because we had no way to get it to the storage unit we reserved. Unit was clean and everything else went well but FYI - if you have big items they will NOT fit in the elevator- not even sure anything larger than a twin mattress would fit.

Juan is top notch. Absolutely amazing. Very patient and knowledgeable. Kylie was also fantastic with us. We moved from Tennessee and had quite a few complications throughout with our prior U-HAUL location for truck pick up. To meet individuals like this after the rough start was very appreciated. The locations that we had to go to pick up our truck need training from Kylie and Juan.

they didn't have the 5x8x8 unit i reserved on the first floor, had to do 5th floor. I barely got there before it closed but that's my fault for not checking office hours vs access hours. the alarm kept going off while we were loading things in even though i had swiped in, i also had to swipe in over and over again which was tedious. and the elevators were very small for furniture and it was difficult. other than that it was fine , the employees were very nice and helpful.

I had reserved a 13' x 11' storage unit for $146 a month. When I got to check-in, I was told there were no more 13' x 11' storage units left and was told the only option was two 8' x 10' units next to each other. That's more space I get that but I was also told I needed to pay for both of those separately and after tax it would be $202.36. So they didn't have the unit I reserved and instead of fixing their mistake, their burden falls on my wallet. They gave me a month free of storage, great but that doesn't help the budget I have because I plan to store my stuff for a few months. I was told the GM would call me and "sort all of the out." Sure. The cherry on top is that I was told they did not have any more disk locks that come free with each unit so I was told I had to buy two locks and they required them to be uhaul locks. So, at the end of the day I was planning on paying $146/month for a 13' x 11' unit and ended up being required to pay $202,36/month for two 8' x 10' units and $21,56 for locks. Public storage is next door; drive the extra 100 feet.

It would have been perfect if it weren't for the trailer rental. I did everything the online site said and still they didn't secure the reservation. I was sent to 2 other locations before I could get the trailer. Only 20 extra miles of driving. And they still didn't have my storage reservation. Rented me wrong size unit It was not cleaned Top of u it was not covered during g Construction and my unit and all my stuff is full of dry wall dust and not one offered to do anything g about it. Holes drilled in unit after rented to attach things outside of unit. Barely missing by personal belongings. And I can go one.... I can talk and ask what r they going to do and they blow it off and pretty much told t's my fault I rented while they r still construction. What a way to treat customer!! One thing was fixed and it wasn't done enough to my satisfaction. Which was to cover my whole initial fro. The buuted up unit to reaching in and getting my stuff. They still can reach and was told well not everyone will pack so so high . Which dnt matter cause they still reach mine just more convenient to reach in mine of they do pack high. Again ... Appalled on such treatment. To busy care....I want my stuff cleaned and moved to the right size unit and a discount for such awlful dissmal of customer service conduct. I wouldn't refer I to a flea or rat. Apparently they all ready occupy the facility during open hours to you as a uhaul company fix this...darn mess. And that's me putting things nicely.

The staff was great and even called the location where I was to drop my truck off and had them change my drop off to where I was getting the storage locker so that I didn't have to go out of my way and waste gas returning it there! Beyond excellent service by the two ladies and the gentleman

The staff are helpful and the facility is clean and looks secured. Moving things into a storage unit isn't easy and not a lot of access points or ways to make it easier based on how the building is made.

It said climate controlled but it seems damp/ humid in the down stairs area. The young lady that helped my was amazing. Very knowledgeable and polite. I was very impressed with her.

The loading area for the ground floor is very inconvenient. The cars back up in one line and we have to wait for each other to finish moving in order to back out. When we went to access the storage unit, an additional lock had been placed on the unit. I had to walk back upstairs to find someone to remove it with the explanation being that their system wasn't accurate with which units were already rented, so they added locks to all of them.(?????) I have no intention of returning to this facility.

I thought this facility is 24/7 but it's not, I found really trouble in accessing as I will start my work from 8am to late evening. I have to run early morning or late evening with very narrow window to move my stuff

My only complaint was the access to the first level where my storage unit is located. There is one steep drive down to the entrance. We made 3 trips and each time we were either blocked in by someone else or we were blocking someone in. The other patrons were polite and we worked out making room for each other, but it was definitely a hassle.

Made reservation online; upon arrive it was not available and only 1 unit half the size of my minimum requirements was made available. Additional charges from move-in truck promised to be comped but had to fight to get them to hold up their own promises; still not credited. Beware of this location! Shouldn't even be open to the public (newer location under construction) yet, but they obviously don't care about the customer's experience.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was very nice & clean. However, the location didn't have the unit size I had reserved weeks in advance. They offered a larger unit with one free month, but this still resulted in a higher cost for me. So, I would end up paying for the company's failure. Due to my time constraints, I went ahead with the rental, in spite pf the additional cost. But while being shown my rented unit, I asked for the access code and was told that the unit was accessible only during business hours. This meant closing at 8:00pm, rather than the 10:00pm advertised online. This made the unit useless to me, as it wouldn't work with my schedule. Consequently, I had to find another storage facility and incur additional costs, not to mention wasting more time. All this due to U-haul's failure to provide the reserved product and honor the advertised hours. While the staff was friendly and the facility well maintained, U-haul failed the basics: providing the advertised product. No amount of friendliness can compensate for misleading advertisement.
