After booking and walking out door to leave with our packed up U-Haul we were notified that our drop off location was not able to be our drop off location! So when got to our destination we had to drive 55 mo Ute's one way with 11 inches of snow just fallen in north woods!! Wasted 1/2 a day of our vacation driving in storm to return the U-Haul When it was supposed to be 1 minutes from our location! Wasn't happy at all.

Craig SwiatekI was charged my fee and the fee for the person that rented the U-Haul before me. I was told by one of the associates that they would handle the issue, then never got a call back. I then spoke with the central customer service who stated that they would reach out to the manager, and I still haven't gotten a call back. My fee was $70 and I was charged an extra $130 for another person's use of the truck. I didn't realize that I have to micromanage a service like this to prevent getting scammed. I guess I'll do this in the future. The truck smelled like cigarette smoke and the driver's door didn't articulate well with the frame. But now I am having to pay extra because the lady who did mine at this location did me for a in town when I told her I was going to Mississippi. All she said was you signed it, when I talked to her once I was in Mississippi. That isn't very customer friendly. As well as you should ask the customer if this is correct instead of just saying you're all set. Now I am having to pay a tremendous amount more for this U-Haul and I won't have the money to finish Christmas shopping… So no I would not recommend this place or U-Haul again.

Also, the gate was always open, making all units accessible to any one with or without a storage unit. Also, upon moving my belongings out, there was dried salt all over the walls of the storage unit, as well as my items. That shows that snow/rain water entered my unit, then dried. That wouldn't be possible if just a little effort went into putting a water resistant strip at the bottom of the doors. Paying as much as I did each month, maybe consider taking it out of that and fix the problem.

Jackson Murray | Expérience généraleI probably would have rated this facility at a minimum of Average if it wasn't for a couple of unfortunate, isolated, events. Those events are as follows: 1) U-haul double dipped on my autopay payment for my storage unit. The resulting double-dip caused a chain reaction of subsequent overdrafts on my bank account that cost me hundreds of dollars in fines and about 4 hours worth of telephone calls to get things ironed out. After placing numerous calls with U-haul to get my money restored to my account, an agent finally issued a refund ticket and told me I needed to wait 3 to 5 business days to have the funds credited. I explained to this gentleman that this matter was urgent, as I now had a week to survive with zero money in my bank account. He assured me he had it taken care of. Three business days later, still no refund. I called back to U-haul only to discover the original agent essentially allowed the refund request ticket to remain in a state of limbo and that I would now need to start over with the 3 to 5 business day wait, while they move the ticket out of limbo state and relaunch the process. Completely unacceptable! 2) When I went to the actual U-haul location to discuss the matter in person and explain the unfortunate series of events that transpired because of the U-haul double dip error, the female manger at the counter was personable. But the other gentleman at the counter gave me attitude and told me that I needed to take this matter up with my bank. Well, that was a fatal mistake on his part. This issue was not my bank's responsibility to mitigate. This was unquestionably U-haul's responsibility to make good on. And this gentleman's response was a 180 degree departure from what I was willing to hear from U-haul that day. So, the next day I vacated my storage unit. And that marks the end of my relationship with U-haul. And I will be sure to spread the word about my negative U-hual storage unit experience any time I am provided the opportunity!
