David BU-Haul is a great company to work with. Their equipment from storage spaces, pods & various trailers to personnel are very easy to work with. The equipment is always in great condition & clean. The staff has been extremely polite & full of good advise. Any discrepancies in billing were handled & corrected quickly because of the availability of a human on the other end of the phone call. Great service

Robin E | Expérience généraleawful experience, got a phone call saying my unit had the wrong lock, they offered to put correct one on as i was not in area, then i get a call saying my unit was left open- i informed them i DID not visit my unit. they said "well we dont know what was in ur unit but it doesnt seem like anything was taken" unit was very clearly brokwn into, stuff dumped out, boxes broken and ripped. they offered to lock it until we could come. we are both first responders and cant just come whenever, there was no rush as they said it was a locked unit. got another call saying there was no lock on so they added one, we came down to see our unit a mess. there should be protocol with you "MAX SECURITY" you claim you have on the sign in your front office- someone should review footage when a unit is LEFT OPEN and i clearly stated i WAS NOT IN MY UNIT RECENTLY. and of course no managers answer their phones. they said after 10pm its a free for all with no security or alarms. their little sign states otherwise. ridiculous

Michael B | Online Move InThe 1st day I moved was crazy, everything that could happened bad happened. U-haul personnel including the 1 800 number at. 10:30 that evening sympathize with me. They gave me the up most respect, Courtesy, and their willingness to help me out. I have never received from any company such caring attitudes. I tip my hat off to them. Including when I went to check out, I had initiated staying only 1 Month 2 max. Because of the warm welcome I got, I kept my items there for 6 Months until I actually found a new home. Only because I knew U- haul was clean & safe. My son purchased a storage about 5 miles from where I was before I moved. His storage was broken into and over $3 000 of merchandise was stolen. They have all outside storages, Lancaster have wind storms, when we went to pick up his items, I wanted to cry for him. Everything was full of dust, we had to wear 2 mass and kept sneezing & couching. All he could say was Mom, I regret not going to U-haul like you did.

I was trying to move out of storage and into a U-Box for moving, and it took multiple visits to get things arranged, and even after confirming the day before, it took an hour and 40 mins to get access to the box. Then I was told that the app is always screwed up, so ignore it, and I could just throw away my card key because they knew I was out. Nice people, but seemed waaay under trained. (And the dim lighting made the place creepy, especially with the weird people who wandered around in there…)

tyler m | Premières impressions1. The facility lacks clear instructions regarding security access. Consequently, users keep setting off ear-splitting alarms. There should be clearer instructions on signs as to enabling and disabling alarms. 2. After-hour access is not good. There are no signs indicating when after hours access ends. There is a phone number given in case of problems, but no one answered when I called and texted. 3. One of the two shipping doors was broken. I damaged my car ($2-$3,000) trying to get out of the loading area. Of the three restrooms, one could not be accessed using the card and the other two were out of commission. This is pretty bad. For the money that is being charged for space rental, the facility is substantially sub-par with comparable facilities.

Doris J | Online Move InI am still thinking about whether I would recommend UHaul storage to anyone due to the fact that I was clueless as to realizing the roof had leaked during the time I had my belongings stored. If there was any indicator that it had been leaking I certainly would have secured and stored a practically new mattress differently. I had not taken insurance out.. at the time I was the person paying for my Mothers storage. She had to placed in a elderly care home due to her dementia and heart condition. The cost each month was enough as it was without any additional cost for insurance. The mattress that got wet was the one that was up against the wall and it was in the bottom that was stained. Wish it had been the box springs.. since the box springs was the mattress facing in towards the center where I could walk and see I didn't notice any water . Such is life right?? I had to take extra time to go to the front office to get it settled. Luckily that was a time when the front office was open. I submitted a request for move out online and it didn't get processed until I called the office 3+ weeks later requesting it to be done.

I was trying to empty the storage out Saturday night 7/24/21 and I was locked out with all of my stuff out in the walk ways and my unit open and was not able to go back in to at least close up the unit. Cause of this my stuff was out and unit was open. Cause of being locked out of the facility I feel it was not a secure place to store any of my belongings and I will not rent a storage or refer the facility to anyone

The security system only allows the small door to open when the key gets swiped making it inconvenient to get big furniture through. Or at least making so that the double doors are useable after 7pm PST and you just have to swipe the card to get in.

The irony in all of this is we started with this facility when our home was put on the market in mid July of last year. We initially didn't like the fact that rodent boxes were in the units themselves. A support staff member at another location here in Lancaster, Sierra Highway and Avenue L who is a former student of mine, told me the 411 on the rodent boxes and that changed my mind for the positive. Our home sold in 24 hours after being listed and we ended up with 6 storage units, two of which were at this facility and the last one ended up being the unit we initially started with back in June of 2020, unit 1017. I highly commend and will recommend this site to family and friends. A special shout-out to the Assitant Manager Michael at this site and Eric J. for being top notch employees as well as the staffs at this site and Sierra Highway and Avenue L. Your attention to detail really made a difference for me and my Family and we Thank You!! Dr. John P. Crocker Jr. and Family!!
JOHN C | Expérience généraleI was charged for two storage locks because I was told I needed two and discovered that I didn't need to buy them because Steven who was a rude Uhaul employee gave me two extra locks for free after moving my personal belongings into my Uhaul storage. It is a scam. I called Vanessa who is the manager at the store to give my complaint but the store manager never called me back. What am I going to do with two extra storage locks?? I find that extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Uhaul makes you buy the Uhaul locks and after moving in, they give you free Uhaul locks. So why does Uhaul sell you locks and after moving your stuff into their storage give YOU 2 free locks???? Does not make any sense.

JASON G | Premières impressionsOn Nov 12th I reported my items stolen. Uhaul rep told me they would file a claim which they never did.After I called again a gentle finally filed the claim for me. My claim eventually was denied because it was no force entry per Vanessa the manager for Lancaster Site. DOnt tell me to read the contact, I know what it says. With all the camera this facility has no one was willing to at least check the camera to see someone going in and out of my storage. I had 2 tv's 50in and 46 in, my daughter shoes and her Keurig stolen and Uhaul will not take responsibility. I would never recommend your company. I am a traveling healthcare worker and can not believe what has happened. My things was only in the unit 4 months.

They could have been explained a little better but it's nothing you can't figure out in a minute or two. The staff is fast, friendly, and professional. I would not hesitate to use this storage facility again and will recommend it to anyone I know who needs it. Merci.

More than three times I came to the storage to get something and found the temperature well over 90. I contacted the office the first time and they said the manager was on the way and would take care of it. I came again a few days later 90+ degrees, and again a week later, over 90 degrees. Waste of money.

Although I will never rent a truck, car hauler or trailer from Uhaul I am having the worst experience with it. My only negative feedback is that I would hope you could staff more associates to be checking people through the line. I had a medical emergency with my mother and for the first time in my life had to express to the other customers in line I needed to be served right away and get my 91 year old mother to her sr appt. several actually said I had no problem with you going next and I thanked all of them for allowing me to do so. The employee was fast and just perfect getting me all fixed up with rental of truck dolly and on my way. So grateful for your services available.
