There is an employee by the name of Rudy whom is part time. He's very rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and has the demeanor of as if he owns the joint. Will never do business with the Carbondale UHaul as long as he is employed there.

Online when I was selecting my unit I Wanted a 5x10x10 but my receipt reflects a 5x7x10 but I have been assigned a 5x5x10. I have addressed this issue the day I got the unit but I was told the only option was to pay more for a larger unit but online it clearly states that units of those. Three sizes are all the same price. At the very I will be needing a 5x7 unit because I have a piece of furniture that is 6,14 ft long. I am able to get it through a door that is 5 ft but it cannot stand up right as it is a . An antique wooden dresser. I would appreciate. Being reassigned to another unit. At the earliest convenience would be ideal and appreciated. Other than this minor issue I am completely satisfied and impressed with all the services .the quality of the units the xsecurity.

My only issue is how the facility is number and a lot of the middle section didn't have any lights. The bathroom was not cleaned or had toilet paper a few times I visited the storage unit

I was able to rent the unit via the U-Haul app & follow up call(s) to the U-Haul store to confirm procedures/everything was ok. Move-out was simple. Facility was clean & well lit. We had no problems with our rental.

I can't Thank Brian and the rest of the staff enough for all they've done for me. They're the kind of people that I would like to meet on the street. GOD Bless them all. One morning I called in to take care of my bill, and I got Brian, I had to tell him how much I would miss hearing his welcoming voice whenever I would leave. The best staff.

I wanted to rate you as excellent but I have one problem. The one issue I found is that the restrooms in the large building is in need of some SERIOUS and consistent maintaining!! The trash was overflowing, the floor was dirty and stained with urine (especially in front of the urinal) and the smell was absolutely hideous! I couldn't even stand to be in there because the odor was SO STRONG that I had to go elsewhere just to use a restroom. If you guys fix THAT, you will have the greatest storage facility in the area!

The only concern and problem was that my rental information is not displaying on the app. This made things a little stressful trying to help my son get into the unit. But after a phone call to U-Haul we were able to get access to the unit. My rental information though is still not on the app account. I have to get to it through the website sign in.

My only issue is that I made a reservation and when I got there was told they didn't have my storage size. So I ended having to size up. If it wasn't an urgency I would have left.

The bathrooms were filthy and there was rotting chicken in a wastebasket. I removed it. The ramp is a steep angle that makes it difficult to unload from the car's back seat and front seat.

When another facility let us down, we made the good choice to go to U-Haul storage of Carbondale where Brad, the calm and knowledgeable manager and the upbeat staff welcomed us to a very clean facility in a state of the art building where everything works and is maintained. Location is safe with easy access even for a 26 foot truck. We are glad to recommend them as excellent.

My experience with renting has been a pleasure. I love the staff, customer service is great and my items were well secured. I highly recommend Uhaul Storage to everyone, it's truly worth the price and more. I was completely satisfied.

The new facility is first-rate. Well lighted and very secure. And it has bathrooms! The loading dock is protected from weather.

Maranda Rush was very helpful and was able to explain the difference between heated and climate control storage units. She was the reason that i made my decision to sign up for storage unit at the spot. While choosing the storage unit spot she helped me pick out a good spot and close to the entrance. Very happy I chose u haul for storage unit.

They were so helpful and friendly even thought coming to use their storage unit was a last minute situation. They seemed very cleanly and I appreciate all the help I was given! They were also very understanding when things didn't go according to plan! I did find some roaches in some of the stuff stored tho. Kind of scary!

24 hour access didn't work on several occasions. The remedies stated at the facility don't work, it just leads to the 800 number. The on call/manager number never answers. So if you are on your last pickup before you have to turn in your truck, then you aren't going to finish your move. Thanks Uhaul of Carbondale for wasting my time and money. On another note; they make you pay for a full month even if you are moving out 5 days into your billing cycle, with no refunds on the balance. Just overall, not a good business.

There needs to be more carts. I found myself carrying half of my things to the unit. Unfortunately people hog the carts.

Al and Ashley were one of the nicest people I've met at a uhaul location. Al helped me, a college student, pick the best storage for me and all my stuff. They had a very clean store and were detailed on information about renting, the storage facility itself and what i needed to do. They answered all my questions and made sure I was happy walking out the door. Thank you to both of them for all their hard work and patience.

Everything was great until I was moving out. That when I saw the roaches. An adult & small one. Hopefully they were concentrated in the abandoned box that I found sitting outside my unit and not in my unit. Having to buy roach bait for my new place as precaution. Not thrilled. I expected insect mgt. to be part of your responsibility.

Dead cocktail roaches. Smelled musty. Bathrooms filthy with garbage everywhere. Must repeatedly press code twice to get in, which increased dramatically the time it took to take things from loading dock (not air-conditioned, extremely humid and in 90's which is a health and safety threat. Fails to live up to environmental standards I would think. AL super nice and I would highly recommend he work with corporate Uhaul to correct the issues which will be filed in a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau on Monday, July 25. Corporate policies of UHAUL are utterly unacceptable. I could NEVER ever recommend the UHAUL company to anyone moving. Period. AL and his staff and Uhaul customers, despite efforts to be professional and polite, are being humiliated and exploited by this company. Lawsuit for refund, pain and suffering to follow formal complaint to Better Business Bureau and States Attourney. Uhaul alone probably causes more people to leave people stranded, living in their cars or vans packed up the hilt... just see formal deposition from my lawyer(s). I will not only never use UHAUL again, but think they should create a fund that directly pays every homeless Veteran in this country no less than $999999999999. Just turn over the company to the Treasury department and every single UHAUL affiliate, employee, and executive you have no vehicle, no bed, no roof over your head fir the rest of your days. That is what Uhaul and it's employees deserve. Turn over all Uhaul to formerly homeless people to run. Veterans and Veteran families first. That would be the only acceptable and just legal determination for the UHAUL company in Illinois. Seriously.

I would have given 5 stars but one of the biggest selling points to UHaul was 24/7 entry and exit. Now with the security system being installed I have to call in. I would have made another choice if I'd known that before my reservation. Moreover, the the number listed online and the intro email does not work. I just showed up at the right time while someone else was moving and entered the building.

The counter worker was condescending and totally disregarded my disability. I felt belittled especially after he slammed the paper on the counter. Just because someone is not like you doesn't make them ignorant, but that's how I felt I was perceived.

The new folks that work there now are very nice and helpful. Even the movers made a comment about how nice the storage area looks and they see a lot of them.
