Very happy with our rental and the help we received from U-Haul.

MICHAEL NNice people. Equipment is an ADVENTURE to drive. Got it all warmed up. Only had to put in 4 gallons. And a somewhat AWAY cleanout of a storage location. Amazing how much you can get the truck to hold. Still. 19.95. Amazing.
John MReturned the truck, then realized that I forgot to fill it up. I drove back up to the store and asked if I could take it to the gas station across the road and fill it because the Army will not reimburse me for the gas unless I get it from the gas station. I was told that I had already been charged and that a reversal was not possible. I'm not an idiot. Any company can reverse a charge to a credit card. It would be different if your employees just said that they were not going to alllow me to refuel it myself, but instead, they flat out lied to me and told me that it was impossible to reverse the charge for the gas. Despicable and therefore, I will use Budget in the future. That's who I rented from for the trip to Kentucky and only chose UHaul on the way back to IL this past weekend because they were more convenient. However, I'd rather not rent vehicles from a company whose employees flat out lie to their customers. There are too many ways for me to get screwed with a truck rental. I'd also like to note that I handle the truck rentals for my army reserve unit in Arlington Heights, and we rent multiple trucks a year, usually through DTS. Due to a funding issue, I had to do this one using my government travel card. The convenience of using UHaul will not sway my decision again, not as long as I'm with this unit and this is the closest UHaul location. Dishonest and despicable..
Nathan HI couldn't get the online registration to work so I went inside and the representative was able to assist me quickly. The process was simple and the representative was helpful. I rented trucks from Home Depot previously, but the U-haul process was less complicated.

Kenneth BEverything was great from the customer service when picking/dropping off the truck. The price was definitely reasonable compared to other competitors. The only thing that would have been good to know is that you can't leave your personal vehicle in the parking lot of U-Haul.

Alexander RIt was -10 degrees and the attendant at the rental site was out cleaning the van off. Could have easily said it was too cold...your rental, your problem, but didn't. Excellent service à la clientèle. Will certainly use again for future truck rental needs.

Edna HEverything was easy peasy. Even easier with the app bc the other possible driver could just fill out info and not have to be there at pick up. You have long hours just in case. I had a horrible experience picking up a car at another location with just a lock box the day after Christmas and no one around. Too much stress. This was seamless and easy and a good deal!
Esther CJust Move did an excellent job of moving the box and emptying it. The 4 man crew was great, efficient. Emptied the box and stacked the goods in less than an hour. The best movers I ever had. Jeff know how to manage his crew. Recommend this mover to anyone. The know what they're doing.

Kevin CI discussed with the rep that worked at that location that both the driver and the passenger doors were very hard to close. To the point that I almost twisted my wrist trying to get the door closed once I was in the seat. I had to keep doing it over and over. Other than that the vehicle was clean. And both Scott and the other gentleman always are courteous and helpful. I live in Niles Illinois and I'd prefer to come to that location if I need to rent a truck which is about 10 miles away for me.
Sandra CThe staff was kind, quick and courteous. The truck could use some maintenance; it had trouble shifting into reverse on two instances while using it.
Brian KI feel like they gave me a defective truck. The door got jammed open and I couldn't close it and it delayed my move almost an hour trying to pry open the door, I was also injured from getting hit by the padlock on the door which also had to do with the door not opening/closing properly. I've called to file a complaint about this.
