I dont find that the mobile pickup was convienient at all. It was actually a horrible expirience. It continuously asked me the same questions and wouldnt let me move foward. I will not be uaing it again

Considering this situation, thank you for your patience. We rented 2 trucks. The 1st one did not give us details on checking for any damage on the truck before we signed the rental agreement. So, now I understand that rental truck should be handled the same as any rental car. contracts.

Seat belt warning comes on even when seatbelt is being worn correctly. Less than a quarter tank of gas when I picked it up, just under the quarter mark.

Lower price is too expensive, it’s a short trip and you charge outrageous prices. We drove an Arizona truck back to Arizona for you and you charge outrageous fees ridiculous.

I used the online - skip the line - application. Working on line went okay, but I had to reload photos several time while on site. Once I was notified to "Pick up Keys" well Placentia has no Pick up Key area. I needed to stand in line with everyone else. I don't mind waiting my turn, but the system suggests a quicker path. Once I got to the counter, I was asked all the same questions I had already filled in on-line. I don't think starting online saved me any time. Drop-off was simple. and issue free.

This review is more about our overall U-box experience that started in Placentia. Overall this location was okay, but when we came to load our U-box, we had to wait approx. 30 minutes while they got our box ready and accessible. Since we had an appointment, They should have had all this done ahead of time instead of wasting our time. The real challenges started after we loaded out box. For some reason that was not explained to us, the box was delayed during the shipping. We were not kept aware of the delay. We showed up at the destination location (Mountain View, CA) to get our stuff, and the box was not there. They told us it was not there, but could not give us any details on where it was or when it would arrive. Over the next several days, I tried calling the Mountain View site to check if the box had arrived. The Mountain View staff was the worst. The almost never answered the phone and let it click over to the call center. The call center would direct me back to Mountain View, but since Mountain View would not answer the phone, I would get transferred back to the call center. At one point, I spent an hour on the phone and was transferred at least 8 times. The call center sent a message to Mountain View, but Mountain View never responded. At one point, I did get through to a person at Mountain View but they put me on hold for more than 30 minutes and then disconnected me without talking to me. Eventually, by talking to the call center, I learned that my box would arrive in Santa Clara first. I contacted Santa Clara and talked to Michael who was wonderful. He acknowledged my box was late and was able to determine when my box was scheduled to arrive in Santa Clara and I asked him to keep it in Santa Clara for pickup since my experience with Mountain View was so terrible. Six days late, I was able to come to Santa Clara and access my box. Next time I move, I will not use U-box due to the 6-day delay and lack of communication. In terms of the three U-haul sites that I interacted with, I would rate Placentia a 3, Mountain View a 1, and Santa Clara a 5.

The truck broke down. Battery cable came loose. When I returned the truck an hour late (it was stuck on the side of the road), the guy was rude. He asked it I told anyone? Yes, U Haul roadside assistance and have him my reference number. I asked if they discount when it breaks down. He said, I didn't charge you for an extra day. Well he shouldn't have, the truck wouldn't start. It was a real hasle to break down. If moving wasn't enough.

Employees don't seem to be trained well. One person seemed to have to tell the other 2 people how to handle reservations and provide a customer with a rental, plus handle their own customer. Better employee training maybe?
