Flamingo W.When I made my reservation online I selected the option to pick up the truck with my phone. This reservation was made in advance and not last minute. I booked my pick up for 8 am. When I got there I attempted to pick up the truck with my phone. It wouldn't allow me to do it and said I had to wait until the location opened at 9 am. This was problem one. There was a worker on the property trying to imply that I reserved the truck late. Unacceptable!! How can you imply something and your not looking at a computer. I had no choice but to wait until the location opened to get the truck. I reserved for 5 hours, however I was told I couldn't keep the truck for the extra hour that I needed because there was another reservation. I couldn't pick up the truck because of system a error!! I hate picking up uhaul trucks in Baton Rouge!!!!!!

Communicate!! I could've lost lots of time and money on a Sunday trying to figure out an alternative plan to move.

monica B.I reserved with uHaul ever since Sunday the 24th of last week for a 24 hour rental truck. I got confirmation email which stated someone would contact me on the 25th about my reservation and that never happened. I called on Friday to confirm everything and was told that I was on a waiting list and they didn't have a truck available for me. I spent countless hours on the phone trying to get a rental because I had to move out of my apartment on the 31st! BIG INCONVENIENCE for me. Was then told they had a truck that I could pick up at 5:30PM at the location I rented from and it had to be back for 8:30 the next morning which caused me a lot of inconveniences. I scheduled a week in advance for a reason and all that was messed up. Also, I declined the insurance and was charged for that. Also, I couldn't return the rental on time I tried like crazy, but it wasn't possible. I ended up being charged for a 2 day rental because I was just not able to move what I needed to move in the short term rental I was allotted. I'm homeless at this moment so every dollar I save is food in my kids mouths and because I couldn't get the rental for the times that worked for me I was charged for a 2 day rental. I assumed reserving a rental a week in advance that I would have been able to rent the truck when I scheduled it for and that just wasn't the case. My family worked like Hebrew slaves on the day I picked up the rental to try and return the truck on time, but we were physically exhausted and that just didn't work out for us. This is bad business!! Also, the wait times to speak to a representative are ridiculous!! I made numerous calls concerning this rental and wasn't at all satisfied with this experience!! I've always used uHaul for moving, but this experience has me wanting to take my business to another company. I could be reached via email or by phone at the number on my profile. I plan on contacting the location I rented from and I expect some sort of contact concerning my issues. Merci.

Benny L.Everything was excellent at the location! As for the website used to make my reservation, they gave me the wrong time to pick my vehicle up! Online reservation said 8:30 am, when I went to pick up at that time, the store said it was for 1pm! Which I did not receive notification of that! My email said, 8:30, have truck back by 12:30. Other than that the people at the uhaul location were professional and polite!
Jeffrey W.It would be helpful if they would specify that pain with cash constitute an additional fee. Instead of just saying that we accept all forms of payment. I as a customer thought it would be easier, to bring cash for my rental. Up on arriving there I was told that it was an additional $100 because I was using cash versus my debit or credit card. Just a little more specificity would be helpful.
Donyelle C.Overall clean truck. The cab was slightly dirty â€" cigarette ash in the door handle and food/drink spillage in the cup holders â€" but nothing bad. The rest of the truck was clean, and everything worked well. Nothing was broken and all the lights worked. The girl at the desk was very friendly and helpful.
JeanPaul D.To be fair this was not the original location I rented the Uhaul truck from. I was emailed that my pick-up location was 2509 Gardere Ln. When I arrived at that location I was told they did not have a reservation for me. I was told it was switched to 7650 Airline Hwy (i was never notified of the change). This caused a time delay in the moving process and add the expense to my move. While I was given $50 for my inconvenience, it did not cover the lost time for the movers, extra gas, and to boot I rented the Uhaul for 8 hours. I was told that I had to get the truck back by 2:00 pm. The place was open for 9:00 am and I had to get it back by 2:00 pm, that was only 5 hours not 8. The truck that I did get had a check oil light on, I was told they knew about it and it needed an oil change. This is the second time in the past year that I rented a Uhaul and when I showed up at the location the truck was not there. It will more than likely be the last, even if I paid a high price for the rental. I know this review will not be handled by management but I will also be posting it on another review website.
Phillip C.Refunding extra gas left in the tank would be a good policy to enforce, and I would have preferred the truck was cleaned more internally. Overall, the truck drove very well and I had no issues. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful

Herman G.Truck only had 1/8 of a tank with my paperwork saying it was a quarter tank. By the truck starting off low I had to gas it up before even starting my move. Plus the radio didn't work in the truck.

Timothy M.Please have the worker who set up the trailer know that he is supposed to let the customer know that he is finished hooking up equipment and he is leaving or the customer can leave because the work is complete. The worker we had was like a ghost. I saw him come, I did not see what he did nor did I see him leave. When we brought the trailer back, I saw him walk toward the truck but I did not see what he did neither did I see him leave. I stood waiting for him to give me a receipt and tell me that he was finished unhooked the trailer but he was ghosted. Nowhere to be found.

David R.My Uboxes arrived over 24 hours late causing me to rebook a flight. I have tried multiple times to have someone contact me regarding a refund for this issue and have yet to be contacted. When attempting to have the issue resolved, I was transferred to MULTIPLE other people. No results have been made. Very dissatisfied with the service.

Millicent W.Make sure the tires are filled properly and the vehicle doesn't hesitate. They rented us a van that was previously stolen. They said that's the reason the tires were not pumped correctly. Their computer system was down which I understand happens. And the gas situation, ridiculous. No gas in said vehicle. We put in more than was needed. No reimbursement and no receipt

The staff informed me that I would have to pay the additional charges which was completely okay. This was not told to the other staff members so during my rental there were repeated calls to bring the trailer back within a certain time. There was no communication with the staff members.

Peggy G.I was charged $40 for furniture pads and did not get them, sent an email to them about it but was still charged for them in my final receipt. The office was closed when we got to our destination so we didn't know they weren't in there until too late.
