I have a Ford Edge with a back hatch sensor under the back bumper. It no longer works as the hitch installed covers it up. When scheduling vehicles if UHaul determines this will be an issue should notify the customer and provide options. I would have been willing to pay extra for UHaul to move the sensor. As it is right now it is no longer functional as the hitch is covering the sensor. The staff were great but the fact my back hatch sensor doesn't work anymore is an inconvenience. Thanks, -wb

I’ve used Uhaul twice now with much advanced booking. Both times they gave me a larger truck than I reserved. That costs me more in gas AND I am uncomfortable driving the larger sizes if not needed. That’s my only complaint.

We requested a 20' truck but got a 15' truck and our stuff wouldn't fit. Why in the hell would you downsize on truck size? Wouldn't it make more sense to provide the customer with more space than less space? Next time use your brain, this was an awful experience and we probably won't use Uhaul next time.

U-Haul screwed up my order two days ahead of schedule. I made a reservation way ahead of time and it was very disappointing to deal with such kind of mismanagement and inconvenience towards the end. They called me to say that the size of the truck I ordered was not available. They offered me two 15 feet truck, but I only had one driver at the time. When I asked them if they can pay the other driver (if I am able to hire one), they said no. My equipment as well as pick-up location was changed at the last minute. They were not understanding, helpful, accommodating, cooperative, and the list goes on and on. This was very frustrating and stressful. As a result of smaller truck, I was only able to bring half of my household stuff. I had to put my other half in a public storage. This was my out-of-state move from CO to TX, and I am living here in TX while my other half of the household items are still in CO. AND now, I had to hire someone to bring my other half. I ended up paying way more than expected, including storage fees, hiring someone to bring my items here in TX, renting a trailer, and so on. I will never go ahead with U-Haul ever again.

The brakes were not strong, before I even got the truck home I was ending up in crosswalks. I was totally stressed when I arrived and was struggling with the online check in. The employee said you already started online, it's the same thing I am going to do. Can't you just do it? So much for customer service!! None of our personal helpers showed up. It was just myself and my daughter moving so at 5 pm I called to inquire about keeping the truck an extra day. The employees wouldn't answer the calls, not a greeting, not a please hold, they litterally just hit hold. I called 5 times before I heard a voice- no greeting just hold please so I yelled no as loud as I could. I asked about charges for an extra day and realized I didn't have enough so I just thanked the employee and hung up. Someone else called me right back....from caller ID wanting to know if I was bringing the truck back on time. They sure ignored my 5 calls but made time to call me to question me. Awful customer service I will never use this location again.

Worst experience of my life. I hope the employee by the name of Gavin gets fired- he is rude, inconsiderate, and does not know how to do his job. He refused to answer questions or let me watch him hook up the trailer which lead to my hand getting smashed in the trailer door. Goodbye uhaul hello budget.

My original location was at 2000 West Colfax. When I arrived. Scott, in the yard, was excellent, greatest me with a smile and told me where to park . I went into the office and waited 30 minutes to get to a cashier. Once I checked out and went to get the trailer it turned out the trailer was defective and I couldn’t take it. I asked the guy, no name, but tall thin and terrible teeth, what I could do as I needed a trailer he said “ I don’t give a Fuck what you do. We don’t have another trailer to give you, this one should have been taken off last night when it was returned. I asked what my options were and he told me to go Fuck myself. He deals with Assholes like me everyday and I can go Fuck myself. I asked him if he was going to hit me and he said no, but to get the Fuck out of his yard and he didn’t care about me. Scott, who witnessed everything, apologized profusely for the other guys behavior. At the end, the general manager came out talked to the guy with the bad teeth and Scott and Scott quit. I was then credited my rental fee and sent to another location. I did leave the franchise owner a voice mail about the situation, but I WILL NEVER rent anything from that location again. That guy should not be working for you. But if this is the kind of service U-Haul is starting to adopt it won’t be around much longer. It’s to bad.

I get it that they were swamped but the guy behind the counter could not have been more rude. He never smiled once and he was very matter-of-factly get them in and get them out. When I came back and had questions he totally ignored me. It was the Big Hawaiian looking guy. Just rude. I prefer the mile high location but they didn't have what I needed that day. They're always so friendly and so nice and go above and beyond in customer service. Just my opinion.

This isn’t specifically directed at any particular location. I was told I could drop my U-Haul at a location that I discovered was permanently closed, then sent to another location in another city. On my way to that location, I was told that location was new and was not open yet. Then I was sent to a 3rd location and charged a fee for the extra miles.

I was told over the phone at the 3425 Lipan street location that the trailer I wanted was in stock. 1 day rentals available, and ratchet cables were included. The pickup location was changed on me 1 day prior to my pickup. And it wasn't until I was there that I was told 1 day rentals were not possible, and ratchet cables were not included. Terrible misrepresentation over the phone to agree to a rental only to show the extra costs when it's too late.

I would be willing to recommend this location to a friend if I am reasonably compensated. The Uhaul appeared in good condition. However, the roof of the cab leaked. I drove 8 hours SOAKED head to toe. It was freezing and miserable.

U-Haul is a rip off when it comes to the administration of the charges. I agreed to pay for the usage of a truck for a grand total of $89. In addition to that charge they estimated that my bill will be $131. They charged me twice and now my checking account is overdrawn on a weekend and I can’t even use my credit card to put gas in my car, buy groceries for my new home or buy a cup of coffee . This is wrong this is it right it wasn’t explained at the dealership that they’re going to charge me twice. Being a customer for 25 years and this new policy of charging me twice is absolutely wrong and inhuman. Never again after 25 years of using U-Haul will I use them again. You’ve lost a long time customer with your so-called new policies that knowing that Customer Service could help me with. “It’s beyond our control, the credit card department is closed today, that’s our policy, It’s in the contract,” why don’t you just say you don’t give a damn??? You have my money and 3 to 5 days of giving up bag is not good enough. You were quick to charge me and slow to give back my deposit. That is wrong that is a rip off, that is absolutely the wrong way to do business. Never ever again.

I am very distraught because I had a great experience the day of renting my truck, but I did overnight drop-off and the next morning I had a bill for $150 worth of damage by the rear passenger side tire. I did not hit anything while driving and am confused where this came from. No one was ever able to provide before photos of the truck, just after, so I am frustrated that I can't see if any damage occurred while the truck was in my possession.

The store general manager - Diego - did an amazing job installing a hitch on my Mercedes Benz GLA250. He was exceptionally courteous and I would recommend him and this Uhaul location to everyone.

The minor on the driver's side was loose and i had to open the window and move it to get in to traffic and to change lanes. The ABS light was on tell i was taking it back. And there was a rear end smell . Ant Owner said that it was about time to send it for maintenance.

I made a reservation online for finishing up using my phone but there seemed to be some errors in the system. The representative didn’t offer help right away even she wasn’t helping anybody. She said she couldn’t access the reservation. I had to call the center for help even I was already at the location for picking up. Once the call center confirmed that the online system was experiencing problems, the representative at the location then helped us after letting us wasting our time waiting for the unresponsive system.

My card was charged, and when I called customer service, i was told the policy for a 1 way trip, was to charge the card at the departure location. This caused me to receive a $100 overdraft fee. I am disappointed due to receiving misinformation.

The locations were good; however, the call-in reservation line is completely worthless. We called to reserve a truck over a week ago and even got a confirmation number. When we went to go pick up the truck, on day of loading, we called in again to confirm the truck and location and the representative couldn't find our reservation anywhere in the system forcing us to make a new reservation. She reserved us for another 26' foot truck at a location on the other side of Denver. We got there only to be told by the Store representative that there were no 26' available, in fact the largest he had was a 15'. Not only did I have to drive clear across town to drive it home, but now I would have to do multiple trips instead of 1. And when I have to pay for each mile, that becomes increasingly frustrating and expensive. If I had other viable choices i would've done my research and gone with a different company. The phone-In representative told us that Uhaul was changing their systems and that's why there were so many discrepancies; however, when I told this to the representative at the store, where I picked up the 15' , he seemed frustrated and said, "no, we havent changed systems." This tells me the phone in representative just lied to us to try to cover the companies mistakes.

Self check-in did not work for me; as I discovered this is only a cellphone app: myuhaul.com/share When I clicked this, upon returning the van early Tues. a.m. (after midnight Monday), it wanted to send a verification code to my cell phone messages. I have to navigate to the messages to get the code, and upon navigating back, it resulted in my restarting the myuhaul.com/share login: sending another code to my cell phone. Please resolve this issue. I'd assume that I'm not the only person experiencing the problem. It makes it impossible to use myuhaul.com/share

I rented a moving van, as I have done in the past, to move my queen bed set to a new apartment. I was given what I assume was a different style of van than last time, and my queen bed set barely fit. Don't advertise or confirm that your moving vans can fit queen beds I'd only certain styles do. Also, I don't expect much in terms of customer service, but at least acknowledge when a customer walks in and is standing right in front of you - both picking up and dropping off the van, I experienced this along with 2 others waiting.
