I’ve used Uhaul twice now with much advanced booking. Both times they gave me a larger truck than I reserved. That costs me more in gas AND I am uncomfortable driving the larger sizes if not needed. That’s my only complaint.

We requested a 20' truck but got a 15' truck and our stuff wouldn't fit. Why in the hell would you downsize on truck size? Wouldn't it make more sense to provide the customer with more space than less space? Next time use your brain, this was an awful experience and we probably won't use Uhaul next time.

U-Haul screwed up my order two days ahead of schedule. I made a reservation way ahead of time and it was very disappointing to deal with such kind of mismanagement and inconvenience towards the end. They called me to say that the size of the truck I ordered was not available. They offered me two 15 feet truck, but I only had one driver at the time. When I asked them if they can pay the other driver (if I am able to hire one), they said no. My equipment as well as pick-up location was changed at the last minute. They were not understanding, helpful, accommodating, cooperative, and the list goes on and on. This was very frustrating and stressful. As a result of smaller truck, I was only able to bring half of my household stuff. I had to put my other half in a public storage. This was my out-of-state move from CO to TX, and I am living here in TX while my other half of the household items are still in CO. AND now, I had to hire someone to bring my other half. I ended up paying way more than expected, including storage fees, hiring someone to bring my items here in TX, renting a trailer, and so on. I will never go ahead with U-Haul ever again.

While there was a scheduling issue that made our reserved truck unavailable when we arrived, Juan was incredibly accommodating and found us another (actually larger) truck and did not charge us extra. Great service!!

The brakes were not strong, before I even got the truck home I was ending up in crosswalks. I was totally stressed when I arrived and was struggling with the online check in. The employee said you already started online, it's the same thing I am going to do. Can't you just do it? So much for customer service!! None of our personal helpers showed up. It was just myself and my daughter moving so at 5 pm I called to inquire about keeping the truck an extra day. The employees wouldn't answer the calls, not a greeting, not a please hold, they litterally just hit hold. I called 5 times before I heard a voice- no greeting just hold please so I yelled no as loud as I could. I asked about charges for an extra day and realized I didn't have enough so I just thanked the employee and hung up. Someone else called me right back....from caller ID wanting to know if I was bringing the truck back on time. They sure ignored my 5 calls but made time to call me to question me. Awful customer service I will never use this location again.

Worst experience of my life. I hope the employee by the name of Gavin gets fired- he is rude, inconsiderate, and does not know how to do his job. He refused to answer questions or let me watch him hook up the trailer which lead to my hand getting smashed in the trailer door. Goodbye uhaul hello budget.

My original location was at 2000 West Colfax. When I arrived. Scott, in the yard, was excellent, greatest me with a smile and told me where to park . I went into the office and waited 30 minutes to get to a cashier. Once I checked out and went to get the trailer it turned out the trailer was defective and I couldn’t take it. I asked the guy, no name, but tall thin and terrible teeth, what I could do as I needed a trailer he said “ I don’t give a Fuck what you do. We don’t have another trailer to give you, this one should have been taken off last night when it was returned. I asked what my options were and he told me to go Fuck myself. He deals with Assholes like me everyday and I can go Fuck myself. I asked him if he was going to hit me and he said no, but to get the Fuck out of his yard and he didn’t care about me. Scott, who witnessed everything, apologized profusely for the other guys behavior. At the end, the general manager came out talked to the guy with the bad teeth and Scott and Scott quit. I was then credited my rental fee and sent to another location. I did leave the franchise owner a voice mail about the situation, but I WILL NEVER rent anything from that location again. That guy should not be working for you. But if this is the kind of service U-Haul is starting to adopt it won’t be around much longer. It’s to bad.

Why do you insist on adding unwanted things to my bill? Moving pads, boxes, various other unwanted items. If you charged me for what I actually ordered instead of trying to sneak additional items on to my bill this would be a 5 star review....

I get it that they were swamped but the guy behind the counter could not have been more rude. He never smiled once and he was very matter-of-factly get them in and get them out. When I came back and had questions he totally ignored me. It was the Big Hawaiian looking guy. Just rude. I prefer the mile high location but they didn't have what I needed that day. They're always so friendly and so nice and go above and beyond in customer service. Just my opinion.
