I rented a truck to take clean water to Jackson, Mississippi. I arrived at opening to the Candler Road, they opened on time, and I was the 1st of 6 people trying to check in. The process went well, and I went to my next destination in College Park (30 mins away) to load the water. When I arrived, the rear door wouldn't open. I called back to the Candler Road location and she advised me to call Road assistance. Due to it being a Sunday morning, it would take a hour and a half for then to get to me to fix the issue. We waited and waited and then I called back to customer service to find out if the time had been extended. She couldn't answer that and I told her I would be returning the truck back to where I recieved it. I got back to UHAUL and roadside assistance was calling. Two hours have now passed. I returned the truck, and there was no discussion about how I would be refunded. I had to ask for a manager (who was out back on her phone) & proceeded to tell me that I would be charged for the 2hrs the truck was gone. Shes talking to me with smoke coming from her mouth because shes smoking a vape pen/ electronic cigarette. When I got the truck it was on E so I had put $60 of gad in the truck and was told I needed to reach out to corporate to get that money back. Absolutely insane how this was handled. The customer service reps on the phone were outstanding and tried their best to help. The instore reps need to be retrained. 3 days later and I still have not recieved a refund nor a phone call.

Tow trailer was so rusty it was almost impossible to ratchet the straps, and we spent an hour trying out 3 different trailers before finding one with working brake lights. Equipment needs better maintenance for better customer experience.

I was supposed to receive a phone call per the return check out in reference to my billing. No one called yet I was still charged for a concern I had….. customer service can be better inside the store and out. Everyone could use a bit more knowledge on the insurance customers are purchasing and what it covers. Although the return is 24/7-which is great, this location still provides a mobile check in where you still have to provide proof of identity and payment at an actual desk, even though everything is submitted online with a live photo as well. You can't just walk up to the side counter or agent at the desk, state you have done your mobile check in, show confirmation, & receive the keys to vehicle. Make sure you take your own photos of all sides of vehicles when renting just to cover yourself. Overall the location has its minor kinks but seems to be neat inside and has a variety of rentals available. The agent inside was helpful when there was a concern about the vehicle before pulling off the lot.

The truck that I reserved was not available when I arrived. The polite agent said, "I don't know how you reserved that because that truck is broken". They did provide me with another truck. The check engine light came on a few miles down the road. Then after I turned the truck in, I had two people call me to ask me when I was going to turn in the truck. So it was just a stressful experience for me.

Rude customer service that gave attitude to me and anyone who called the location. Truck had cigarette ash in the cup holders and the cabin. Pulled into lot at closing time and when trying to return truck, they weren't helpful and were again rude. If this wasn't a brand name rental truck place, it definitely would be out of business with the way they act.

Horrible, rude treatment to an elderly woman as well as myself. Nobody knew what they were doing my info was entered into 3 different computers by 4 different people. I was handed my contact and key with no explanation of anything or where I might find my truck. And as usual the amount of gas didn't match the contract. These trucks are in extreme need of repairs some are completely unsafe. Uhaul should be ashamed and embarrassed

Lack of customer service all around workers were rude and very short worded with a rude tone also tried to automatically put the $14,95 insurance on my account and worded it as if it were mandatory I had to express myself that I know it's optional and I reject. When I returned truck no one helped me I had to insist on help then they tried to get me to leave truck without checking it back they would take care of it in a min telling me they would just charge whatever the balance is I had to insist to know my completed balance I would be charged before I left

Ridiculously bad customer service. All employees were fighting with one another, cursing, and quite rude to me. I don't like to leave bad reviews but this was so egregious I felt it was important to let someone know.

First, it took a long time (30+ minutes) to get the van. Second, it was mainly because the mileage and fuel level were incorrect. Third, I had to go back to correct the billing and the staff didn't know how to do it. I won't rent from that location again.

I had such an awful experience with uhaul the day of my move. I was sent to this location after uhaul failed to have a truck for my reservation near my apartment at 730am. When I was sent to this location, they didn't even have a 20' truck for me, only a 15. I asked if there was a 20' near and she gave us another location, even farther from my apartment. While I was deciding if I should drive even further, she went ahead and moved my reservation there. When I decided to just take the 15' she said she had ALREADY transferred me. And I said transfer it back!! So instead of doing that, I had MORE money taken out of my bank account because she couldn't figure out how to move my reservation back . So I paid twice for a uhaul. And she didn't even cancel my other reservation because I got a call later asking if I still needed the 20' truck! I didn't make it back to my apartment until 10am because of her incompetence. She also accidently booked me for a return trip instead of a one way, she had to start over. Then she forgot my equipment and had to start over again. My movers were there at 8am as I had paid them to be. I had to pay them for 2 extra hours while they waited for me to get back because of all this bullshit. That's $200. I deserve a FULL REFUND FOR THIS.

Woman who answered the phone did not help, was especially rude, hung up mid call because she got annoyed and was not cooperative. I cannot believe such a person was employed to deal with customers. She also gave us wrong information and in the end, we were charged a late fee. I will not come here again. The cargo van we rented was pretty OK. Not clean, but usable. I did not expect much and for that, I was not disappointed.

There are frequent complications with my booking and typically minimal support. This is a corporate account booking on a national level and it very difficult to be successful with such poor communication from uhaul staff.

I reserved a dolly but when I got there they said they didn't have one and I had to upgrade for more money or go to another location. Pre the manager Nia. And when I got in the truck the gas was off and it smelled like weed

I was at this location because the original location of my reservation did not have my truck that was reserved (which I have yet to receive my guarantee). This location was 15 miles the wrong direction. The staff was overwhelmed. The customer service rep argued with me about my reservation and she insisted that she did not have a truck for me but once she checked, she did. Check-in process took over one hour plus the additional hour from the failure of the first location. Then when I returned the truck I was charged a $10 fee for being over the allocated miles - when Uhalu caused me to go 15 miles the wrong direction. Even though I disputed the charge I was still charged. I was also charged a higher rental fee for a 15 foot truck when my original reservation was for a 10 foot truck. It is not my fault that UHaul took a reservation that they could not honor. While they may not have had control over the situation, neither did I and I shouldn't pay for that. I did what I was supposed to.

The clerk was incredibly rude,nasty, downright disrespectful. I reserved a truck and dolly for 6 hours. I was told that would be an additional 20 dollars, because the location closes at 5. When I questioned her about it she became enraged. I was forced to set all my belongings on the street of the storage, so that we could get the rentals back before the store closed. Then, the following day, I checked my account, and found that I was billed twice, after my initial payment. This was, without question, the worst experience I ever had as a customer. I pray you can do a better screening, and training process when hiring. No one should ever be treated this way, especially Seniors, in front of their children. I think that I would be more comfortable renting from Anyone else in the future.

The U-Haul we reserved was unavailable and they didn't try to do anything about it until we asked. The utility dolly we reserved was also unavailable. They spent 30mins looking for keys and the back wall of keys for the trucks was basically empty despite the fact that that there were over 15 different U-Haul trucks outside. One of the employees even called another employee asking if they had left the keys for a truck they checked in their pocket. Spent 1 hour here only to leave with a truck we didn't reserve.

There is a great manager at this location. She stepped in to speed up those waiting in line for service. Had patience with me to complete my reactions to get my truck. Your computers need service it's slowing down giving quality service to the customers!

The truck was on E and I didn't realize it until after I was on the road I was agitated due to the app kept asking me to take another picture and final the clerk just manually entered it. The truck had major problems either there is a problem with the transmission or it need fluid.

Turning the vehicle back in was easy. Picking up the vehicle was confusing. I did everything asked if my thru yout 24/7 mobile pickup service ( the choice that stated I opted NOT to use the counter service) and I STILL had to do the entire check in service at the counter over again. Your online checkin was a total waste of time and causes ridiculous redundancies. You'll never read this so why even bother telling you this. Also, if employees are telling you the vehicles are being stolen off the uhaul lot at night, you think corporate would do something to hinder this ( like gate their lot maybe??).

Short staffed only 1 employee helping customers check out. Despite having an online reservation was told that they do over-book reservations & mine might not be available. When they did finally find the reservation was told the truck I was renting had not yet been returned despite numerous trucks sitting on the lot. The truck was clean but the check engine light was on stating low tire pressure. Overall not the best experience.

I have requested flare refund I am very disappointed and upset with the customer service and which I was given I was told that I receive a 100 % refund back from the location and which the car was rented from due to the fact that there were car issues and troubles with the vehicle I did the proper procedure by reaching out to the location once leaving the property and was told to give roadside assistance a call once completed I was informed that I would receive a full reimbursement refund in which I have yet to obtain I am very disappointed I would never use you guys services or given out any referral later to anyone again in my life please return my funds as soon as possible.

The truck powered down and all lights on dash came on. Thank God my husband is a truck driver he let it cool down for a minute and decided not to go over 55 so we were able to finish our move.
