My reservation was a total shambles I was sent to 2 different locations just to be told the equipment I reserved was not available so I had to settle for inferior size truck no mileage credit was issued to me and my movers went to the wrong address even after I sent a text to confirm address!! Worst and most stressful day ever!

When I initially dropped off the truck, I had forgotten my wallet/cell phone so I asked the check-in agent if I could use a phone to make sure my ride brought those items, and this person, probably 20th are my junior, proceeded to tell me that “this phone is for business” like a teacher scolding a toddler- just condescending as could be. And on top of that, When I returned the truck, the check-in agent basically tried to scam me. They said the gas wasn't back to original levels, which would be nearly impossible unless the truck got 4mpg! Not 4 minutes before drop off I put close to 3 gallons after driving no more than 22 miles (and that is in question as well, as I kept asking how many miles I put on it and they wouldn't say, but logged it in as ****50 when I know I started at ****28, but 22 miles seems excessive for the short distances I did go.) Add to this all that when they came back with a “photo” of the fuel gauge, it was blurry/grainy and at a skewed angle to show it to be less than what it truly was, which further bolsters my feeling that they were trying to milk more money from me. Very unprofessional and was downright rude.

Associate changed my drop off location instead of just confirming the existing one from online reservation. Why do associates have to treat it as a whole new reservation, what is the point of filling this all online if you have to do it again in person and risk errors like this happening?

I was sent to four locations to get my uhaul, drive approximately 100 miles out of my way and by the time I got uhaul , I was four hours late loading my senior mom up. She was upset and crying when we arrived. We missed make my it to storage on time due to uhaul delays and added another day to our turn around. With all that said our Whittier location was professional kind and concerning.

I was treated extremely rudely when I needed to extend the vehicle for a couple of days. I had to call the main office to get them to extend the vehicle. The management at this location I would never recommend anybody to work with. The workers there were very nice, very courteous very helpful the manager not at all.

I made the reservation 2 weeks ahead of time, only to get a call that the vehicle was not going to be available at my selected location, I would need to go three miles away. Very inconvenient when you need to coordinate a ride.

My reservation was for a truck and trailer placed 2 days before I needed them. The site had said they were available. When I arrived, they informed me that they did not have the trailer and I would need to wait atleast two hours before they could get one. That was a big inconvenience for me, however I did not have a choice. I came back after two hours and got the trailer, it was an auto transport trailer and I had also rented one of your pickup trucks. After the employee (a manager) hooked the trailer up he checked the lights, the brake lights and turn signals worked, however there was no running lights. So only when I hit the brakes the lights would come on. No amber side marker lights. Fast forward to when I was loading my car onto the trailer in a safe and slow manner (parking brake set on the truck and in park) when I got the front wheels onto the trailer, the trailer came off the hitch and was pushed forward into the tailgate causing damage to the truck. This is unacceptable, the employee (a manager) did not properly lock the hitch to the truck, nor did he check if it was working. I will not be using uhaul anymore under any circumstance, because of the lack of safety precautions first of all, and second, incopantance and laziness to do anything the right way.

Do not give appointments when you have no installer at that location. Do not send your customer miles to the second location when they also have no installer. Do not send your customer to the third location west of phoenix 50 miles more roundtrip and have them refuse to allow the handicapped driver stay in the car, leave job undone when there was a much closer location available in chandler. Honor and not raise the agreed-on quote. I drove 200 miles for this job.

Was rented a truck that the lock was on the back door and there was no key for it with the ignition key so drove a hour away and had a locked truck had to drive to several uhaul locations to get a key to unlock it.

JOMO was incredible I most definitely would recommend this to friends and family. JC was accurate. He calmed me down before even continuing with the purchase told me to breathe in and out. He then calculated the miles for me by mapping the address out for me. Customer service was amazing. It was manager vibes

Agent has originally rented our assigned truck to the people ahead of us accidently. Took a while to make the corrections in the system to get us on our way. Not a major issue, was handled as quickly as possible.

Apparently the truck got such bad gas mileage they stated the beginning fuel was at 3/8 I drove 8 miles and it brought the fuel level under 1/4 of a tank. I was charged $70 extra dollars and was told by an employee (Lori)when I disputed the charges that the gauge was at 1/4 tank. I called the store Monday morning to speak with the manager I was hung up on. When I called back I was placed on hold for 10 minutes. I requested correspondence via email and never received a response. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

When a truck is reserved months in advance, have that truck available the day of pickup. Acknowledge customers, communication is vital for the success of a business. A customer should stand at the counter and be ignored by employees. Have someone available at drop-off. I dropped off the vehicle in returns and know one came out to great me. Customers should not feel they are doing uhaul a favor. This seems to be a consistent theme throughout the country.

The inside of the truck was not clean my original order was supposed to be at a different location with a dolly. I was then changed to another location which is the Dunlap location above they did not have the dolly they charged me full price for a appliance dolly and nobody bothered to help this 53 year old woman load it into the vehicle until I asked for help. Poor customer service I have rented from you guys three trucks in the last eight months and I can tell you this experience overall from beginning to end was the absolute worst experience I've ever had.

Just a general lack of motivation here. Doesn't seem like training is current since the simplest check out process took 30 mins. My guy checked in the wrong truck and then accused me of not filling the tank. He didn't think to check the reservation paper I gave him which contained the license number and truck number.

Truck had nearly 100 000 miles on it when we picked it up. It had a bent rim, the a/c worked intermittently and the steering was loose and creaky. Not what I would have expected to been provided with to move from Arizona to Nebraska. Very disappointed.

The only problem I had. I turned in the truck during business hours they stated they will be sending me a receipt. I never received one. So I went back to get my receipt the truck was never checked back in. If I wouldn't have went back they could have charged me for late fees.

When I picked up the truck that morning I felt that the three gentlemen inside were not very organized. They argued among themselves of what truck that they would give to me. Plus they told me that if I brought the truck back after closing time 8 pm that I could drop the truck off that evening before midnight and not be charged for next days rental. I returned the vehicle that night at 7:58 PM. I had called your facility that night at 7:54 PM saying I was across the street and getting gas and would be there shortly. The customer service rep at U-Haul proceeded to tell me that they would not check me in because I was not there at 7:45 PM. But just to return the car in the back area , park the rental and put the keys in the dropbox. Which I proceeded to do. I also put more gas than was expected instead of 5/8 I put 3/4 of a tank back. I was also charged for a second day rental fee which I should not have been. The lady that night at the rental car should've waited to check me in but did not. I was not impressed with this rental service agreement or the location. I would not recommend U-Haul if this is how people are going to be treated. I should be adjusted the second day rental fee along with any taxes an extra charge for pads and a dolly because I returned the car that evening before the 8 PM , I was in your parking lot. I would love to have someone call me at 503â€"780-0898 to have this issue resolved. I've always use U-Haul in the past but this location I would not and it might make me hesitate to use your company going forward I feel like I was taken advantage of instead of helped with customer service where the lady could've waited for me that night because I was almost there and checked me and we would not be having this issue or this review. Also the air conditioning in the vehicle did not work and it was very hot that day that we were moving in Arizona and the temp was over 100° so that was a bummer not to have the air-conditioning work in our truck. On top of being rude the employees kept changing what I would need to rent a trailer and every time they would change what I needed it would get more expensive, and when I went to return the trailer they were again rude and was rushing me saying they were already closed even though it was 6:45 and the sign shows that the store is open until 7.

I will never rent from U-Haul again! First I went to the one on Hatcher and cave Creek Phoenix. They didn't have a truck when I had booked it online. So this guy sends me over to some remote location where there are no people to help you and you're supposed to use the mobile app to open the doors and it took me an hour and a half and I still couldn't get it open because the app wasn't working right and you have to download U-Haul on Play store and he never told me that so he was not knowledgeable at all which I do not appreciate because I am professional and I know my job. So then he sends me over to the i-17 and Dunlap U-Haul and the first things go okay and she tells me the manager that because I was so upset she would help me out and give me a little bit of a discount. Well when I go to the next day and turn it in and and check my checking account there was no discount at all. I am going to call corporate and complain about your employees lack of knowledge. And when you call the number you U-Haul number no one ever answers the phone! All in all it was a very frustrating experience and they had me driving all over town using gas that is $5 a gallon and it's money I don't have right now! Very poor service, poor customer service, lack of knowledge, no one answers the phone anywhere to help you figure out things. This is in Phoenix Arizona and I couldn't believe the uneducated people about their own jobs! And I will still call corporate and complain because I do not have to put up with that. You have a terrible company. No customer service whatsoever and I have worked customer service so I know what it is. I'm calling corporate because I want a refund for all my frustration. I can't believe you're still in business. As a matter of fact, I would appreciate it if you had a higher up or someone in corporate call me and talk to me about this and give me a refund because this experience was not worth it. Beth M. We ordered supplies online in advance. When we went to get our equipment and supplies not all supplies were present. They're unable to refund the money and said that they would not charge us for the truck. They charge full price for everything although we did not get everything we ordered very disappointed they could not keep their word.

They were the worst! I started off on 19th qv.Peoria where they had 5.. I was told they had none.. she made me do an order with all my info & sent me through all of the construction traffic on Dunlap during the hottest part of the day & sent me 2 this location where they had only 1.. my rep played stupid with the computer for well over an hr before she finally got me out the door..she couldn't even figure out how 2 upload the email from the previous location.. how can a person who stares at a computer all day every day not know how how it works? Or was it a conflict in personality that drove them 2 f@ck with me? They are either incompetent or they were playing a joke either way they sucked for sure!!
