When I made my reservation online, I chose a pick-up location that was closer to my house. We drove there at my pick-up time to find out there wasn't even a uhaul location there anymore, just some old buildings. I had to call to find out where my actual location was to pick up the truck was, which was 30 minutes away from the house. We drive out there and get the truck. They never do an inspection on the truck with us before we drive off, and claim the gas tank was full. We returned the truck and they charged us for having to fill the tank up when it was never full to begin with. Overall the experience was more of a pain the ass and I was charged more than I needed to be. It would have been nice to not be able to schedule a reservation with a place that doesn't even exist, instead of having to having to rack up miles (that I get charged for).

Communication was extremely poor. After initially placing order via web site, I was unable to reach this location on Mc Knight road via phone on several attempts. I then had to stop in person to seek follow up answers to all my questions, to confirm hitch was ordered, received and date to install was confirmed.

PARKING HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN ISSUE AT THIS LOCATION. IT WAS AN OLD GAS STATION THAT WAS CONVERTED MANY YEARS AGO AND HAS OUT GROWN THE ORIGINAL FOOT PRINT, ANYWHERE YOU PARK TO P/U EQUIPMENT, YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN THE WAY. AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LEAVING YOUR VEHICLE THERE WHEN YOU RENT A TRUCK. YOU HAVE TO GO DOWN THE STREET TO ANOTHER STORE AND TRY TO CROSS 6 LANES OF TRAFIC OR WALK BACK DOWN THE SIDE IN THE GUTTER. HELP THIS LOCATION OUT, MAKE MORE PARKING AREAS.

The whole mobile ordering system was flawed. We waited over 30 minutes in the morning trying to get the truck we reserved. The person wasn't responding to my messages and it never said you'd have to CALL someone to get the driver approved. I had the truck reserved at 8am because I worked at 9am. Needless to say I didn't know it would take so long. Redo your mobile ordering or let people know that it might take very long to get the truck.

The next time I reserve an appliance dolly, please make sure the location has one. It's also frustrating when you're told to return the truck with the same amount of fuel, but have no idea what it will take to get the level back to what it was.

The location itself is dangerous, there have been several accidents near that location. The lot is so small it's ridiculous. There are way too many vehicles on site for the size of that location. The vehicle was mostly clean except for some candy or food stuck on the steering wheel. The windshield was very smeary, messy. BUT, the people working there have been great every time I have had to rent a vehicle.

When we picked up the Uhaul, the person checking us in had a little bit of an attitude. We placed our reservation for a truck online and the system had some of our information wrong. We told the person which items were wrong and they said that's what you put in the system with an attitude. They also had an attitude when we didn't understand the timing of when we needed to return the truck compared to what was online. I would suggest having employees that have a bit more patience when dealing with customers.

Once in contact they perform. Virtually impossible to reach by phone. No facility to leave a message; auto disconnects after about two minutes of hold. I had put a contract for hitch installation in May 2021, was warned of delay in getting parts @1 month. Promised to call when parts in. Checked back in July. They ha not called, I could not reach by telephone, went to location and they told me while they had a contract number, there was no information.are entered contract info,promise to call. End of August, try to check again, no communication. Send message to corporate; They forward to location requesting contact wit me. No response.Contemplating cancelling contract in person. 9/13/21 location finally calls and makes installaton appointment. All went well. Unsatisfactory customer communication interface.

not a lot of communication went with this site. due to COVID, a sign on the door said masks required to enter the building. Every customer had a mask on but not a single employee wore a mask. They did not stay behind plexiglass as they came to the floor to assist customers with boxes... They should follow the same rules as everyone else.

Price to start I was told the truck was 1995 and I had to pay mileage and I only had it for three hours and the charge of 170 $is just outrageous but I just felt like I was all about money and not a bad product because the truck was horrible it was dirty inside inside the box inside the cab it was not checked out are the gentleman never walked me out to the truck to walk me around a truck he just told me the keys were in it and the truck was mine home when I got in and the gas tank was on a quarterI found a nail in the rear passenger tire that you couldn't because mess if you were looking for anything it was just a horrible experience mostly for three hours

The entire experience with U-Haul has made me consider never using the company again. We were moving from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh and booked a 20' U-haul over a month in advance. The day before, we received a call from a representative who insisted they could only provide a 10' and was rude and dismissive when I asked if there was anyway to help me get a similar size truck. I called her two times, each time she transferred me when I asked her to instead assist. After 3 calls we were able to finally book two 10' Uhauls but were assured that the cost difference would be consistent with my initial booking. That ended up not being the case. Additionally, both locations (1000 Calcon Hook Rd and 4720 McKNight Rd) we had issues getting the trucks. At the 4720 location, we spent 2 hrs at the site because there was only one individual working and he made an error on our first contract so we had to wait in line again. At the 1000 Calcon Hook location, although both the email reservation and location site said they were open at 11am, the individual did not show up until almost noon. Additionally, neither location had a utility dolly that we had ordered, and we were charged for it anyway. Overall, we are very displeased with the service and plan to file a request for reimbursement for various charges.

Most helpful staff ever! I had reserved the wrong utility trail, the staff immediately helped me figure out what I needed based on what I was trying to move and got me setup. First time I ever used a hitch, they explained to me and helped me buy the right receiver. Best UHaul staff I have ever been to! good job UHaul! Definitely going to be return cuestomer and definitely to THIS branch!

When I picked up the rental truck, it was relatively clean - no major debris, although the cab could have been vacuumed. After I dropped off the truck (after hours) and used the app to return the vehicle, I was charged a 25 $cleaning fee (+ a cleaning tax!). The vehicle was in the same condition as when I picked it up. No one ever mentioned a cleaning fee. The printed estimate I received upon picking up the vehicle did not mention the cleaning fee. This seems like a way to generate profit for U-Haul without actually doing additional work or providing additional services.

The fuel policy needs updated-- there is no reason customers have to "guess" how much fuel to put in because the trucks are at 4/5 or 1/3 tank. Each vehicle needs to start out full... the rental happens and either the customer fills it back up prior to return or U-Haul fills it back up at the listed rate from the paperwork which, understandably, is at a much higher price than on the street because they pay their employees to fill it up. This is my only complaint!
