The truck had several issues. The low tire pressure light was on from the start, the brakes were sketchy & definitely needed work, the driver's side door wouldn't close without being slammed shut and I'm not a mechanic but the suspension wasn't great either. The condition of this vehicle was not optimal for renting and made me nervous about my belongings. The employees weren't bad. They attempted to be helpful as much as they were capable of being since on that day and time it appeared understaffed. Which wouldn't have been an issue if the 30min I waited hadnt counted against my rental period. I reserved the truck online for 11am til 3pm was there by 10:55 but because of the wait didn't get keys til 11:30 or later. That in itself is bad business and quite frankly unfair to customers. When I advised employees of vehicle issues upon returning I didn't get an apology for the inconvenience nor condition of said vehicle or an offer of any kind to rectify my disappointment in the matter. I can say with all honesty I will most definitely consider other options before using Uhaul again.

Other than waiting for a longer period than normal because the site was under staffed, they where very polite and professional and really deserve these Kudos.

Service was great but despite reserving weeks in advance AND confirming the morning of the reservation we didn't get the size truck we needed. We needed to do two trips and we couldn't get a longer truck because of the loading bay.

The mobile app pickup didn't work and when my husband went inside to get the truck keys - they gave him a 26 foot truck, rather than a 15 foot truck that had been reserved. I don't mind an upgrade, but am not fond of the bait and switch. I reserved the 15 foot truck on November 29th and if I had known a 15 foot wouldn't be available, that's on me- but if you let me reserve then switch and charge me more. That's another. Additionally - the pick up location was switched at the last minute. That isn't as much a consideration as the switch in the truck and price.

Gentleman was extremely helpful and understanding when he noted the discrepancy on the fuel level at pickup. I showed him a picture of the fuel gauge at the pick-up location and made the adjustment with the evidence provided. I was expecting a difficult time and he provided excellent customer service. Will be using U-Haul, especially at this location for all my future moving needs. Merci.

The passenger door was hard to close, it sagged so much the metal around the latch was bent. It was difficult to get closed. When we got to Minnesota in bad weather we found that the windshield washer didn't work at all it was either empty or filled with plain fluid that was frozen.

Have equipment we signed up to rent. Have equipment ready in a timely manner. Tell people in advance, when they need an in state license. Don't loose keys upon return and then try to blame renter.

He did not tighten the trailer to the hitch. We were going less than 20 miles an hour on University Ave in Gainesville and it popped off the hitch. We called and they said the manager would call us back. We never received any calls. Luckily we had not gotten on to the interstate yet or there could have been a lot of damage and could have caused an accident.

If I couldn't convince my friend to find a different rental company, I'd tell them to only go to this location. The representative we called to set up our truck rental canceled our reservation, so when we showed up, we had no truck and no help from the rep we called to clear it up. We went to this location in hopes they had a truck (the rep should have been able to look that up for us, especially since they screwed us by canceling our reservation). They found a truck for us and charged what we were promised in our original reservation. The manager there has been the only guy to help us our through our horrible customer service and experience with Uhaul. Seems to be the ONLY guy who knows how to reserve, set up rental units properly, or anything related to system operation. That being said, after returning our truck, we asked to cancel our storage unit rental. The kid at the desk took down my info and went to this manager who wasn't available at the moment. The kid returned saying the manager would take care of the cancelation for us. I mentioned to call if there were going to be any additional charges. He didn't call, and I got no confirmation the rental was canceled. I got charge for next month's rental fee! I'm disappointed the best guy didn't come through. Hopefully, it was just lost in translation between the kid and him. I called the site to right this wrong, but the girl took my info and said the manager would call in 10 mins. After waiting over an hour, I decided to call the general customer service #. They only offered to email the manager I tried calling! Why can't they help me from there!!? I just want a simple task completed with a full refund. I have had the worst experience with Uhaul customer service.

I wanted a cargo van, but the on-line reservations showed that none were available so l reserved a small truck instead. When I went to pick up the truck, there was a van on the lot. I was able to get the van with no problems. I really appreciated that! Thank you, staff! ðŸ'ðŸ'

Overall, I arrived when they were busy and was assured that I just had to drop off the truck and leave. Seemed easy, but I never received notification that it was checked. Slightly panicked that I would get charged for extra days because they didn't check it in when I arrived. I had to call back twice and was put on hold for ~30-45 minutes both times to get notification that it was checked in. Very clean and inviting, helpful on the phone and in person, but I would recommend on working on the follow through.

the service was great - the truck SUCKED BIG TIME. No cruise control, no power windows, inside lights didn't come on when door was opened unless you turned a knob - HATED THE TRUCK - but service was great

In recommending this location, yes, if it was a location closets to there final destination. This location was what was provided to me after unloading the truck. It's 20 minutes away which added to mileage on the truck which I got charged for! Not cool.

Location was COMPLETELY slammed with too many customers for not enough workers. The one person I saw there was on the phone trying to resolve a problem involving 3 UPS trucks, but his call never ended and the line of frustrated customers kept getting longer. I eventually left the line after 15 minutes to attempt to do an online checkin using the UPS website.

Ordered a cargo van well in advance. When I got to the location early in the morning to pick it up there where none available. Had to use a 10 foot truck which was inadequate for my needs. However I didn't have a choice.

Filed a complaint. Garian the general manager call to talk about what happened and he said he'd send me a email with a code on it that would give me a free $100 rental. I haven't seen it yet. So I'm filing another complaint 🤬

Everyone at the counter was super nice and helpful but there were sticky dried puddles of spilled soda all over the uhaul along with the last person's trash still behind the seat. Not a huge deal but these things cost so much money to rent it would be nice if it had been cleaner.

The last several rentals were nice and clean. The only exception was how dirty the windows, especially the windshield, were. It would be nice if this were addressed as it is the most visible when entering the vehicle.

One of the employees - the one who checked us out - was trying to be helpful, but the “assistant manager” definitely was not. Was not happy about the charge for the additional mileage since nobody had asked me to estimate mileage and the assistant manager just said “there's nothing we can do about it.” Didn't even bother coming over to talk to us, just relayed it through the other employee and ignored us. This is also the same guy who came peeling through the parking lot in his car as we were dropping off equipment.

staff did not acknowledge me when I walked in, just sat there engaged in their own conversations. I had to ask for assistance. Poor customer service. Trucks overall are never clean. For the money spent, they should have a detail crew to clean the cabs.

I rent vans two to four times a year for transporting my art work to art festivals. This particular U-Haul location is convenient for me and the agents are good. If I try to reserve a van on-line, I am directed to other U-Haul location to pick up the van so I find it best to call the convenient U-Haul location and they have always been able to accommodate me with the vehicle I need.
