This company tried numerous times to take money out of my account without my authorization. They tried to take out 1 161 dollars from me as well as 83,49 and a 471,79 charge that was posted to my account I was not notified of these changes and I had to close my card because they were doing fraudulent things . The corporate was disgusting when it came to handling my situation and they have failed to reimburse me my moneyCyerra W.

Unfortunately, there was probably a overnight guest in my uhaul. I noticed the cab was open when I picked up the truck but didn't think much of it! Then noticed the scent of urine once I got home and started loading my stuff in. I was crunched for time with this move, so instead of returning the truck, I grabbed some gloves and got down to business cleaning it with some Lysol. I mentioned it to the kind Manager, Drew, upon drop off and he was very apologetic. Additionally, an extra special shout out to John who got me checked in for my rental. He was thorough, playful, and the kind of person you'd want on your team!Meagan D.

Please update your software to allow users of Apple products and the Safari browser, to verify/confirm at pick up and at return. I used to hate going to the Valencia St. store because of the former staffing, or lack there of. However the gentlemen who now staff the Valencia St. store (on Aug 29 & Sep 1, 2022) were all very nice, helpful and smiled! Ohh now I will return!!Robert D.

One of the worst experiences of my life. I was verbally attacked, and most importantly, I was not safe. I have never used U-Haul and this will be the last time. I rented a truck to help a friend move last weekend but upon picking up the rental, which I had reserved prior, I was verbally attacked by multiple people in the U-Haul store (100 Valencia St., San Francisco). They made me tremble while I was completing my transaction, and after finally leaving the store I cried to a young couple who had been in the store when the chain of events first began, which most of the people who had verbally attacked me, had not been in for at the start of these unfortunate events. Additionally, the store manager refused to help with the situation and simply watched the entire event. His name is Frank Andrew Dacayanan. Today, I received a call back from Frank Andrew about my complaint; he was incredibly rude and condescending to me about the event which took place this weekend. So much so, that he took the liberty of telling me he thought I was in the "wrong" in this matter and not once apologized for his poor management and the hostile event which took place. And he certainly didn't apologize for how he spoke to me on the phone today, too. Apparently, at this U-Haul location, the phrase, "the customer is always right" is an unknown phrase, and customers, especially female customers, are treated with hostility and cruelty. I can't stress enough how traumatic this event was as a woman and woman of color who was alone in a shop with half a dozen men and one older woman who began the attacks on me. I highly advise others not to use U-Haul again, especially at this location and especially as a woman or woman of color. The team has poor leadership, is insensitive to gender and race, and struggles with managing crises.Daylin R.

Mo, the employee that helped me pick up and return, was by far one of the kindest and most motivated customer service reps I have worked with in general. They helped me find my vehicle, had pleasant conversation, and brought me the key to the lot. Upon return they made sure that I had everything in line and were able to ensure that the vehicle was returned correctly despite my confusion. The document listed the initial mileage as 20107 mi, while it was actually 20391. I informed the U-Haul employee about that discrepancy and he said that he will corrected on his computer. U-Haul should have a better app to power self-serve pick up and drop off. For example, when I dropped off, there was no way to take photos of the vehicle to confirm its been dropped off. It didn't feel secure. Getaround (a car rental service) has a fantastic app where I can unlock the car from my phone, take photos and submit any issues directly into the app, including customer service. Re: Location, I returned my truck after hours and the parking was unclear if it was actually legal to park there - lines were faded and the truck looked like it didn't fit properly, but no one flagged this that it was OK.Gianna F.

I never write reviews but using UHaul was such an expensive mistake and such a poor experience. When I was asked to assess the condition of the vehicle before leaving the location, it was backed up against a wall in a dark garage so closely that I could barely see the back of the vehicle. Within a few minutes of driving on flat road, a piece of the vehicle literally just started coming off. When we arrived at the location the attendant said they didn't know what we should do and basically refused to speak with us. Now I am being charged $150 for damage I did not cause and could not assess beforehand.Samantha P.

I feel a bit swindled. Your vans advertise $19 + mileage, through inflated scare tactics you make the $25 insurance seem necessary, and then throw in a location fee amid other charges. On top of that, when I put $15 of gas in the van and started it back up, the needle hadn't moved, prompting me to put in another $15, which then overshot the intended level by 2x. Your clerk told me I'd receive a credit for that, which I did not. I will not use you again, and I will actively recommend whichever other service I utilize to my community.Graham O.

Record the proper gas level. I got charged an extra gallon of gas when I returned it at the same level. Have people available. When I came in to pick up my rental there were 3 people.
