I rented from 9am to 2pm. But only got the truck over an hour later!! I lost time to move and nothing was done about it. I had reserved online with my credit card. I spoke to 2 people to confirm i didn't need to be present with the driver at pick up but ended up having to give my card over the phone because the counter agent couldn't access the card. Complete waste of time. The counter agent asked if i needed a dolly, when it was already confirmed online. Very unhappy with the service in general.

If check in is going to be a 2 hour wait and you know the city is under curfew let the clients know to arrive early or complete the online check in at home. A two hour wait on move in day is insane enough when there is not a curfew. I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of uhaul

They called me the day before to tell me that there had been an overbooking an that the truck that I had reserved weeks in advanced would not be ready for the time I needed it but 2 hours later. Thankfully when we arrived there was a truck available. This unreliability is the reason why I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. The guy working at the location/office was nice and doing what he could but had to spread himself thin since there were no other workers there to help him.

The personnal is doing a great job.but they were only two on a rushing day of moving in Montréal. I had my trailer 1 hour later than my réservation and i was there 45 minutes before. .

The only issue was that I was given the keys to the wrong truck which delayed when I was able to actually leave the lot but I wasn't able to extend my time.

I booked my truck 5 weeks in advance to ensure I had a guaranteed booking at 9am on May 1st. On Friday, April 30th, U-Haul called me to advise that I wouldn't be able to get my truck as planned because there was "a glitch in the system and my truck was double booked". I was obviously upset because I had took the time to plan ahead, reserved a guaranteed truck, and immobilized several people to help me out at that specific time. She offered me options but none of it was possible. She eventually called me back to say "it was fixed" and I could have my truck as originally planned. I had quite a bit of anxiety in that moment...all for nothing. I tried on April 30th to do the online check in for my truck with the link that I received in a text message and it didn't work. Finally, on moving day, May 1st, I arrived at the U-Haul and waited over an hour in line (some parts outside in the cold) to get the keys for my rental truck. The gentleman who helped me was very kind but explained that they were understaffed. He advised that I had to bring the truck back as scheduled at 1300. I told him I would do my best but that he had to understand that because of the delay U-haul caused, I would do my best because I had just lost an hour of my reservation waiting in line. I drove out of the lot at 1030 that same morning (after the inspection of the truck). I've worked with U-Haul many many times in the past and have never run into so many issues. I've quite disappointed in my service and how the whole experience went. Regrettably, I will not be using U-Haul for my moving needs in the future because of this. Instead, I will hire professional movers from now on.

Absolutely terrible and dishonest experience! I rented a Van for a small move (11 kms).Returned it 3 hours early. When I dropped off the keys I wanted to wait for an employee to inspect the Van to see if it was ok. I asked twice to wait to get a confirmation but the employee pressured me to leave saying (twice) that everything is ok. Then I was charged an extra 25 $on my credit card for gas. The bar on the where I left it. I wanted to get a confirmation of this but was pressured to leave. I drove 11 kms! And the gas was where I was asked to fill it to.

This is a complaint and will follow-up with the complaint department. It is in relation to your on-board placement of upright dolly and blankets and tag system in the trucks. I was charged 7 $extra for the upright dolly I did not used apparently because the tag was removed. I specifically rented a flat dolly because the upright was of no use to me but we are told "it comes with the truck". I did not ask for the upright dolly and blankets but are in the truck regardless. We did not touch, use or remove the tag from the upright dolly and am asking the about charged and all taxes be returned to me. I was asked for "proof" and if needed, I can send testimony of all who worked with me in the truck that he dolly was never used. My reservation # is 92872644. Sunday April 25th 12:00 noon. 60 minutes (once I was with the Uhaul agent) to pick-up a trailer when I reserved and checked in online is outrageous. The trailer I reserved (5x8) was not available, they did accomodate me with another larger trailer, however, Uhaul refused to honor the reservation Guarantee.

Reservation was useless, system was offline, couldn't get the rental in time. Had to fetch cash to rent, coz CC terminal was dysfunctional, but was not informed beforehand of this situation. Very frustrating when day is planned long time in advance. The clerks were doing their best, but unable to function with their platform

I rented a truck and i made a mistake i didn't took the insurance and i broke the window glass and when i came back to them . The lady on the desk she helped me out i pay for the damages .she was nice and they didn't overcharged me.

Le personnel a été courtois, poli et les lieux sont beaux, propres et sécuraires. Cependant je suis extrêmement insatisfait du système de réservations. J'ai réservé un entrepôt 7pi x 14pi il y a 5 semaines et j'ai obtenu confirmation. Le jour d'emménager, on me dit que tout ce qu'il reste est un 5pi x 5pi. Il n'y a même pas la moitié de mes choses qui peut fitter à l'intérieur et ça me met évidemment dans le trouble. On ne m'a offert aucun autre dédommagement autre que de mettre mon nom sur une liste au cas où quelque chose se libérerait éventuellement...

I was verbally attacked by two employees after asking if what they were doing was procedure. Even the manager lady came out of nowhere to attack me. When returning later another employee voiced his own opinion deeming it unacceptable. This comment will probably flyover your head at head office but there's no room for racism in 2021. Its either your establishment ends up on the news or you hire some people who can respect other in time of stress.

The agent did not do a check in when I picked up the truck. Almost got charged 70$ for 1/8 tank of fuel because nothing was explained to me prior to picking up the truck.

Check in online and via phone, slow with lots of unnecessary pop ups. Lock box at the location didn't even open, meaning having to wait for service inside. There was a 20 minutes wait just to enter the space (covid restrictions on numbers) and another ten once inside. Your staff also tried to open the lockbox and no success. Instead, they opened a whole new reservation for a different truck, meaning I had to redo the entire process that I had already completed online. The storage unit for which we needed to transport things to that day closed at 12, so rather than having my rental for 9:30, it was at 10:30 and left us very little time for the actual moved.

Le processus de location est lourd et trop long, surtout si les déménageurs attendent que l'enregistrement soit terminé, car ils sont payés à l'heure. Ce n'est pas la faute du personnel, mais de la procédure. La plupart des renseignements pourraient être recueillis lors de la réservation. (Réservation)

There was a film of some sort of spray on the windshield, also broken glass in the back seat cut my finger when I put the cardboard behind the seat,over all great time with the rental, we will rent from u-hual. agin . Think the truck could of been cleaner. Steering wheel was sticky .film of some spray on the windshield.drives side ,made it judging parking & just driving the truck.I am very satisfied and will make u-hual my rental king from now on .I had a great time renting from you people will do it again.THANK YOU

This location was very helpful since it was my first time to use the recheck for dents and the site failed to launch. However, the gentleman was kind enough to walk with me to the vehicle and inspect it. Definitely will go back!

We had booked our rental for pick up on 7350 Ste Anne de Bellevue, Montreal qc and so we made our way at this location on the Friday Jan.29,2021 and once there they said we had to pick up at other location 8101 Boul. Montreal. It would've been appreciated to hv had an email or a call to inform us address we entered as the pick up location was not going to be it. We were rushing to pick up and start our day but had to go elsewhere. But I must say the girl that served us that morning very friendly and also at our drop off very nice ðŸ'

i rented a trailer with was filled with snow. the uhaul rep shoveled it out which was nice, but it obvs left a layer of ice and snow in the bottom of the trailer. trailers should be tarped or kept under a roof to prevent this in winter months.

I had to wait more than one hour to get the truck. It is way too long. It does not make sence to wait that long. There was not that much people in line. Just no staff. the guy had to do everithing including installing trailers on cars... and we had to wait...

Have more personnel as wait time to pick up the reserved truck was an hour. We had a reservation for 8am & arrived at 7:50am. There were 3 clients ahead of us & no personnel on site for at least the first 15 minutes we were there. It took 1 hour before we passed to get our truck even if it took us less than 5 minutes to pass at the counter. After that all went well. Merci

J'ai rapporté la remorque une heure après avoir quitter le uhaul. On m'a demandé si ça a bien été et j'ai dit non, mon vtt ne peut pas embarquer dans la remorque la tailgate a l'arrière est trop étroite. On me répond, dommage et on ne charge la pleine location sans me proposer d'alternatives. Arrivé chez moi, je vois sur votre site qu'une remorque plus grande (pour voiture) m'aurait convenu et que cette dernière était disponible. Ça m'aurait fait plaisir de payer la différence, mais non, j'ai perdu une partie de ma journée a me chercher une autre remorque. Je prend ça comme une leçon de vie à 52$ et je remarque que le service a la clientèle n'est plus ce qu'il était. Dommage !

First of all - I think it is absurd that I reserved a vehicle more than two weeks in advance at a different location in Montreal, only to receive an email the night before the reservation telling me that it is at a different location more than twice the distance from my residence. What is the point in making a reservation? If there is not a vehicle at the location selected during the reservation, it should be the responsibility of UHaul to transport a vehicle to that location. It is a global pandemic, and I had to ask a friend to drive me to the West Island at 7:30 in the morning because the location within walking distance did not have any trucks for me. Again - if I woke up and suddenly decided I wanted to rent a UHaul that day or the following, sure, that's one thing. But to book a vehicle at a particular location weeks in advance and then receive absolutely no empathy or assistance after being on the phone for FIFTY MINUTES is reprehensible. And though that experience was bad enough on its own, it was even more confusing than that, because the p/u location was listed as DIFFERENT ADDRESSES at the same time in the email confirmation versus on my UHaul account, thus requiring me to spend all that time on the phone only to eventually confirm this terrible outcome. This was an awful experience. And to make matters even worse, upon arriving at the location the morning of the rental, the automatic door to the storefront was non-functional, and there was no employee inside to let me in. I had to lurk all around the entire building for about ten minutes in sub-freezing temperatures in December to catch somebody's attention and gesture wildly toward the door to let me in. This fellow was nice enough when I finally had a chance to interact with him, but this is absurd! Overall I was incredibly disappointed with this experience and will absolutely not rent a UHaul again.

Check the truck properly and make sure it's working smoothly because I had a hard time driving the truck. It kept going it's own way even with my hard effort to keep the truck moving straight. The customer service guy Daro was extremely rude. How can a person naturally be so disrespectful let's forget i was a customer. Let's say i was just a passerby and needed help. Can you say politely that please I can't help you now but my colleagues will gladly do tomorrow and it's late??? Does saying that cause anyone a dime??? Daro treatment my husband and myself like trash. We were so so disappointed in his service. But overall the location is great but the truck we used was not working properly we managed it anyway. If I really want to go detailing about my inconvenience with the service on the 19Dec.2020. Then I'll go on and on. For now please do tell the customer service agent Daro who made our experience even worse to please treat people like human beings. I would recommend this location but tell people to be aware of the vehicle and Daro. Thank you

Your website indicated that our unit was sufficient for our 3,5 appartment. It was absolutely not sufficient and when I inquired about renting another space i was told there were none available. As it is we have had to split the apartment storage which is not the best solution! The staff knowing this problem did not suggest any other solutions, offer to call up other locations for us, or make any accommodations. In addition the sign in procedure is very strange, using one keypad to log in and then another to open the door to the rental spaces. I'm not sure I could manage that trick again and it didn't even work the first time I tried it.

Wish the staff could have been more accommodating. There were many services that neighboring Uhaul's were offering that my Uhaul did not permit me. In addition, phone calls were not returned when inquires were placed.

There were a few hiccups with the automated billing. Twice (over 2,5 years) they sent out erroneous late payment e-mails. Quickly resolved, and more aggravation than anything else.

Great for storage but only thing is that it's impossible to reach that facility via phone, they never pick up. Also, the employee was talking to Hydro for a good 15 mins when I was waiting.
