Although the estimate for a van rental was totally erroneous, when I showed up on site. Nancy has taken the time to consider the possible alternatives for a long-distance cargo van rental and has been very forthcoming with the booking. On the day of the rental, David and Barry were very helpful. They helped me put a wooden table and chairs in the cargo van. On my return, David was very professional in directing me to manager Julie to review the charges that were incomprehensibly billed to me. She rationally justified the charges which I accepted. THANK YOU to the team for their understanding and well mannered interactions.

But before him, I had a terrible experience with the manager, Julie Lescard, @ St. Jacques St. in Montreal, Quebec. This is not the first time I have had to deal with this woman. She is rude, inefficient, and cares nothing about the disabled. Her only concern is slapping on fees, with no interest in listening to a customer's situation. I was charged a ridiculous late fee of $15 for being 5 days late….in ONE month ($30) even after I explained a mixup with my bank. If she is representing U-Haul, then they are nothing but greedy, dishonest and money grabbing. They show no respect for their customers.

Nous avions réservé pour 8:30am, on nous a orienté vers une autre adresse car il n'y avait plus de camion dispo alors que ca l'était sur le site et finalement le jour J, on nous a dit que le retrait ne se faisait pas avant 9:00 en temps normal. Nous avons pu partir seulement à 8:50am et avons eu aucun dédommagement bien au contraire ! Nous avons payé 36$ de plus au moment du retour car nous n'avons pas refait le plein EXACTEMENT où était positionnée l'aiguille sur l'image de départ (ce qui est presque impossible) et avons dépassé de 4km. Location pour 5H30 exactement au lieu de 6H --> 130$ + carburant. N'importe quoi ! Je déconseille !

amar S.Julie the manager at 7350 Ste Anne de Bellevue Road kindly accepted to transfer my reservation made at 8101 Montreal Toronto Boul. I was on bicycle and was nervous about driving the 15 foot Uhaul since I had not driven one for years. It was much easier to get a truck from Julie's U-hau location. The transfer was done easily and the move went very well. Julie was there to answer a number of my questions and told me how to contact her directly. Thanks very much for her kind attention and flexibility.
Paulette L.Rented a truck before closing to return a few hours later at night. Added blankets very last minute. No one told me they should be folded I was charged a cleaning fee. When called to inquire the employee lectured me and said it was in a contract.. Called the manager later who said it was written on the bed of the truck and refused to take the charge off. Not friendly people to do business with. I'll try to avoid this location in the future .

Claude L.I was not impressed this morning. I had to wait for almost 45 minutes to get a truck that I had reserved. I would also like to say that I rent a truck every two weeks and am wondering why every time I go they always ask for two emergency numbers. ( this is a new policy) I've been renting a truck for almost 2 years and they started this about 6 weeks ago. Is it not possible to save the numbers I give? It is time consuming to always repeat myself. Today was not a good experience but normally It was two new people on a super busy morning. Thanks for checking on my experience. I always recommend you guys but it's getting harder to do this when my experience is negative. I hope it is possible to work on the issue I mentioned.

It's supposed to be the last place to cut..., has become lately the first to cut.

Michael W. | Expérience généraleThe experience was wonderful from A to Y, as concluding the contract with U-Haul was poor and I don't intend to recommend nor do business again with them. The facility is wonderful, service great, very clean and all. I finished the contract on the 13th of December and I payed for the whole month the 9th of December. I understood that the payment is full and final for the whole month and they don't reimburse the difference. It's understandable to put such policy in place to avoid many transactions of reimbursement. Although, when a client calls or make a request, the simplest thing is to listen and make a decision based on the facts and potential business in the future. The manager told me he had absolutely no power to reimburse a portion of the monthly rent. Basically I paid 200$ for 4 days of storage... Any business client oriented would have made something to keep the relationship. I am taking my personnal time to make sure U-Haul listens to my comments and understand I won't be recommending them (quite the contrary) and will make sure to do business with competitors in the future just because of 200$... It's all about customer service and I felt left out for a simple request like this.

I work extensive hours and it was a perpetual mess to ask for help or solve anything online / in the phone. PLUS : they were bothering everyone for late payments. I AM OK to pay extra fee if I am late, since I travel a lot for work and pay bills only during dedicated hours, but 10 phone calls to my members of family, and my work stuff for 350$/month - is is a true over exaggerating. The owner of this specific facility should get a grip on his management.

When we once made it a few minutes before the closing time, our code would not work. Also, having to pay for a whole extra month when I only needed it for 2 days into a new month was extremely annoying - if they could have at least prorated by the week, it would have been much more reasonable. Finally, when I wanted to close the account, since I was no longer in the city, I called the branch several times to discuss arrangements but I kept being put through to the central call centre. The call would send a message to the branch to call me back but it took 3 messages before the branch ever called back. And then, when we went in person to close the account, the service was extremely slow. After paying an extra 164$ + tax for 28 days that I did not need, it was really disappointing that I also had to waste so much time due such poor service or a shortage of staff.

J'étais extrêmement déçue et frustrée d'apprendre surplace que je ne pouvais pas bénéficier du mois gratuit d'entreposage que j'avais discuter par téléphone. D'après la personne de l'acceuil il arrive souvent que le standard se trompe. Mais là c'est une erreur d'environ 300$ qui est très fâcheux. La personne du standard m'a juste indiqué que je devais d'abord avoir louer le camion avant la location de l'entrepot. Ma location d'entrepot était pour l'aveil donc j'ai fait changer la date de réservation d'entrepot sur ses conseils. Tres décevant surtout que je planifie de louer l'entrepot jusqu'au minimum Juillet, ce qui fait au minimum 3 mois.
