The pickup was covered in ice and snow, the payment system didn't work, the printer was broken, the clerk had an horrible attitude, the general service an attention was pitiful and the price was not much of a deal. Upon kindly complaining I was suggested to take my business elsewhere. I won't be doing business with you any time soon

Les 2 hommes en service étaient très aimables. Par contre, on voulait changer d'unite de storage et avait été obliger de demander les codes d'acsenceur a chaque reprise de va et vient car l'ancien code me marchait plus. Avoir eu un code temporaire ou une carte de passe temporaire aura été beaucoup mieux comme experience.

(I visited the same location about a month ago and the printer wasn't working then, either.) I said I had tried unsuccessfully to sign-in on the website and they said, "Yeah, the U-Haul website is no good, we all know." I rented a van. The van was dirty inside and out. The floor inside had snow on it. The side windows were covered with so much grime that I couldn't see out.

My only complaint - while moving out we found mouse/rat droppings in the unit, however, I am well aware that this is a common and almost unbeatable situation in a storage facility. Overall, I give you five stars and you have a great team.

Key in the ignition was stuck and not easy to take out. Changing gear was questionable as the lever was very flumsy, felt it could break at anytime. Not my first U Haul experience but the worst so far.
PHILIPPE BOf course, I had already booked online. But the last time I went in person, I was a bit delayed. So my suggestion to everyone is to book online.
MASOUD MI had reserved the truck and dolly on-line filling out all of the details. When I arrived for pick up the dolly I had selected was not available and I had to take another one at a higher cost. During the checking in process it was as if I had never filled out the initial order on-line having to repeat the details. I then had two provide 2 additional emergency contacts other than mine or my partners who was driving the truck, which seemed excessive to me. When I returned the truck, I was told to just leave the key and that my invoice would be closed. I indicated that I wanted to have the milage checked etc. Prior to me leaving. I was told that they were to busy doing other things even though it appeared that I was the only person in the shop. I insisted that the check be done and that was clearly an irritation to them. I felt completely dismissed and that if I had been a man this would not have happened. This is not the first U-haul that I have rented but the first time at this location and I would not recommend. Totally disinterested in customer satisfaction.

REBEKAH WCheck the fuel gauge properly. Employees said it was at Full but it hovered just below full. A few km's out, it dropped to 3/4. I ended up spending $30 of gasoline for less than 3 hours of use of a 9' van. Disappointing. The interior of the van was dirty. Would it be too much to ask for you to clean them occasionally?

When I showed up in person, that figure somehow became $403 for 4 days (I only reqiested 3 days) And then only after my complaining about it did the amount become reduced to $223. Confusing experience. And I had to sweep out sand and dirt from the vehicle before being able to use it. Still, the in-person staff were nice and helpful.

After only two months of storage, I found that my furniture-items I've cared for over many years-was covered in mice droppings and suffered significant damage. There were scratches and gouges in the wood that were not there before, leaving me questioning the quality and care of the storage facilities. Although the staff was friendly, I had an unusual and stressful experience when I rented one of their trucks to help with my move. I didn't drive it at all but was rushed to return it at 7:00 AM sharp the next morning, despite it being off-peak season. As a long-time customer, I was surprised by this, and it added unnecessary stress to my move.

I filled the tank to the level it was when I took the truck. The needle was super unprecise, they charged me 15$ penalty for 1/12 of a tank according to the bill.

I went there to return the dolly I rented, while I was waiting in line, the u-haul employee tried to take the dolly from me before even doing the proper return procedure for me. I insisted that I needed a receipt for my returned equipment and only after that did they give me my proof of return.

Having to give 2 emergency phone numbers without consent in case of emergency. Is this data erased or sold to marketing companies ?! If an accident happens, and the driver is unable to call Uhaul themselves it's because they're at the hospital. For them to contact families - not Uhaul. Renting a truck should not require more than a driver's license and a credit card.
CAROLINE BThe person who make me sign the contract made a mistake on how much fuel was left. On my way back I refill at the same level I saw when I left with the car. But they told me I was wrong and I should take a picture next time but no one ever told me to do this so they charge me 50$ more for the amount of fuel missing. I made only 20-25km so it's litteraly impossible to spend 50$ fuel in 20km so they're wrong they made a mistake. On google I saw a lot of complain I'm sure it's not the first time. I want a refund of my 50$ it's a shame.

Was I was able to call about 2 days later to explain why I hadn't paid my bill, and was doing so right away, U-HAUL STILL CHARGED ME A WHOPPING $15 & refused to reverse it. All in all I was ONLY 4 DAYS LATE!, even after I reminded them that the reasoning couldn)t make the payment was because I was in Intensive Care in hospital! I WAS CHARGED AGAIN $15 this year. I was 3/days late when the $ became available in my bank account. I thought the bank would put it through. I thought wrong. SO WITHIN 14 DAYS I WAS CHARGED ANOTHER $15! I've never seen charges like this with any other company! $30 late fee for being 15 days late, AND IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL! Very, very, bad practice and gives U-Haul a bad reputation for very bad customer relations

The first few times it stops when something is in the way but then it starts ignoring it and tries to close even when a human is in the way. It's not only annoying but very dangerous.

It is insane. Horrible experience. I never think U Haul has been degradation like this. Moral degradation....

But before him, I had a terrible experience with the manager, Julie Lescard, @ St. Jacques St. in Montreal, Quebec. This is not the first time I have had to deal with this woman. She is rude, inefficient, and cares nothing about the disabled. Her only concern is slapping on fees, with no interest in listening to a customer's situation. I was charged a ridiculous late fee of $15 for being 5 days late….in ONE month ($30) even after I explained a mixup with my bank. If she is representing U-Haul, then they are nothing but greedy, dishonest and money grabbing. They show no respect for their customers.

The facility is wonderful, service great, very clean and all. I finished the contract on the 13th of December and I payed for the whole month the 9th of December. I understood that the payment is full and final for the whole month and they don't reimburse the difference. It's understandable to put such policy in place to avoid many transactions of reimbursement. Although, when a client calls or make a request, the simplest thing is to listen and make a decision based on the facts and potential business in the future. The manager told me he had absolutely no power to reimburse a portion of the monthly rent. Basically I paid 200$ for 4 days of storage... Any business client oriented would have made something to keep the relationship. I am taking my personnal time to make sure U-Haul listens to my comments and understand I won't be recommending them (quite the contrary) and will make sure to do business with competitors in the future just because of 200$... It's all about customer service and I felt left out for a simple request like this.

I work extensive hours and it was a perpetual mess to ask for help or solve anything online / in the phone. PLUS : they were bothering everyone for late payments. I AM OK to pay extra fee if I am late, since I travel a lot for work and pay bills only during dedicated hours, but 10 phone calls to my members of family, and my work stuff for 350$/month - is is a true over exaggerating. The owner of this specific facility should get a grip on his management.
