Vehicle condition-specifically wiper blades, steering was poor
MICHAEL O.Equipment was clean on the inside but very rough looking on the outside, though I understand that the ware and tare on these trailers is extreme.
Jess B.I arrived with the equipment on time. The online chekin system didnt allow me to check in after hours. I called customer service and waited on hold for about 30 min and was told they could only put a note for the next day. The next day i was charged for an extra day plus extra day of insurance plus fee for a dead lightbulb that was determined to be normal wear and tear and had a note on it that i should not be charged. Called the location and waited on hold for half an hour. The manager said they would reverse the charges and to expect a confirmation the following day. No confirmation came. I called but couldnt get through to the location, so drove over there. There were no customers so i dont know why no one was answering the phone. I had to explain the whole thing again and go through it with that agent, who said he would put some notes in and someone would deal with it the next day. So now i am waiting to see if it gets done or not. So far, in total, i've spent over three hours trying to solve this problem and get that lost $50 back. Next time I will use another location.
Rose B.Your staff was great. The vehicle was clean. We got there after dark to bring the truck back. A car followed me into the parking lot and drove around. When we got out of our vehicle to put the keys in the box, it drove up by us and parked where there shouldn't be anyone parking. The car was driving around very slow and had dark tinted windows. We didn't feel safe, so we left without getting the keys dropped in the box and had to bring the back in the morning. Location at night, not a place you want to be.
Pierre F.This was a very bad rental experience. I was supposed to pick up the truck at Rockrimmon. When I arrived there, I was told that one of the windows was broken, and I would have to go to Academy to pick up my truck. Which was 8 miles away, and I was on my bike. In the end, the diversion cost me an hour of my day, which was scheduled very tightly.
Mark F.We were made to go to two different, and very inconvenient locations because the truck we had rented was not available at the location I had selected, even though the reservation system showed it as available. The only thing we were offered for our trouble was a few extra miles so that we wouldn't trigger a mileage charge. Then they wanted us to return it to a location that was not convenient, and not the one I had selected online. He said the one I had selected was not available, the others were much farther away. I showed the confirmation to the representative, and he had to call a central location to get permission for us to drop it where I had reserved. The line was very long, the manager said he was short staffed and said we could go online and complete the check-out and it would be faster. I had pre-done everything online, and nothing was there. We had to re-enter the drivers license, take another set of pictures, etc. I will be highly unlikely to use U-Haul again.

Truck would kick into serious downshifting which caused me to be late. Different employee when returning truck was very occupied and when I was trying to drop off the keys. Not feeling like a valued customer at this location.

Cindy B.Reduce the pickup and drop-off times. Pickup times are between 1 to 2 hours. I'd say a pickup time of about 1,5 hours would be average. (I always plan for a 2 hour pickup). Drop off took about 1 hour. In an effort to speed the drop off up I unhooked the trailer and pushed it into the return lane myself since their was no personnel there. Took mere seconds to unhook. Didn't help since I ended up standing in line for an hour inside anyway. I think these times are ridiculous. Sadly my complaint about this location seems to apply to the entire UHaul system. These pickup and drop off times seem to be typical. The Uhaul concept of providing rental equipment to those of us that don't use a trailer very often is a good concept. And the UHaul equipment is pretty good too, seems to be in good shape, well-designed, etc. But the pickup and drop-off processes are a frustrating waste of time. Hire more people or better yet remove the people entirely from the process. I cerrtainly don't need help hooking the trailer to my vehicle. As a frequent Uhaul customer I can hook the trailer faster than the UHaul people. I don't really want to own a trailer of my own but I'm starting to consider buying one since I am so sick of wasting time standing in line at UHaul

I had to decline every one and take my own and detail the issues (mostly peeling decals and pock marks on the front from rock chips). Recommend updating the pics.

We were stuck with a flat utility trailor tire for 5 hours waiting for them to come and when they got there they had us leave because there was something wrong besides tire. Waiting fir 5 hours is unacceptable. Something needs to be done and i need a call back

Cameron B.Had to use in a pinch. It all worked out. Had a trailer flat in Ranton New Mexico, their response took some time to fix it. Much better , and faster than AAA services in the Colorado springs when I had a flat. The service was dispatched from Trinidad Co. 40 miles or more away. Ranton was like the middle of nowhere, compared to Colorado springs. I was on the road and made it home in no time.

They severly underestimated the number of containers needed and then when I needed more they had nothing in the state to rent to me. Also, they mentioned they were canceling peoples reservation due to a shortage in equipment. Not good customer service if you ask me!

Someone tried to pry open my lock master lock lock, ruining the lock, when l reported it l felt they treated it as no big deal, l lost a $25 lock and it was replaced by a $8 lock. And security, everytime l was there l heard door alarms going off and the staff NEVER reacted

Public Storage offers somewhat better per-square-foot rates in facilities of at least equal quality, but I would not hesitate to recommend U-Haul Storage, especially to U-Haul vehicle renters.

Iyan M. | Expérience généraleI contacted U-Haul almost one month before we vacated the storage unit we had for over 6-1/2 years at Galley and N. Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We also went in to rent a 10 foot truck to move our belongings out one week before our next rent was due. They still showed we owed rent for the next month on their website. I contacted the store and he indicated he had a number of new employees. That still does not make it right and it was a huge inconvenience for me to have to contact them and tell them about it a THIRD time!

The staff helped out and rented 2 that equaled the size I needed. The ridiculous thing is WHY would I I-haul show one is available confirmed and it was not!!

I got charged late fees several times, because the person at uhaul did not put my new card in. This happened twice. So, I had to pay late fees for something that was neglected on the side of the uhaul staff. I didn't pursue it, because I knew I was leaving. Pretty frustrating from my end, because I was so diligent about being on top of my payments. Hope the next person doesn't have the same issue.

Staff was amazing and helpful and had a good amount of carts to safely and easily transport a decent amount of items at once. All around great experience minus unit not being fully swept out and prepared before move in. Staff was very informative about the security measures of the facility and answered all of the questions that I had and made me feel a lot more confident in getting a storage unit here.

I tried to get a 2nd unit reserved for my last delivery in September. It took forever to get someone on the phone and usually I was transferred to UHaul main hub, not N Academy site which I wanted. I got reservation numbers and was cancelled out 3 separate times!! (This was time consuming and frustrating since I was still living in Arizona. My son-in-law finally got me a unit closer to their home! Your office is fine for walk-ins, but not favorable for call-ins!

Richard P. | Premières impressionsI was told different things by different u-haul offices. One would reserve a storage for me then when I show up it never was available to begin with. I understand the concept of "first come , first serve." I understand that u-haul has many people canceling or not showing up when there's a reservation. What I don't understand is if that's how it's done, why would should I reserve a storage if it's not even going to be reserved for me? To reserve is to book in advance, to secure. If it's not secure, why offer? I wish the u-haul company gave clientes a chance by giving us a time limit on our reservation and if we don't show, our reservation is canceled immediately. But now I know what I know and I won't be making any reservations, walk-ins is best when it comes to u-haul. But over-all service was average , good people and good customer service, just not very good at communications between different office locations. Either that or the system is lagging on its updates.

Originally reserved a truck and storage online for Thursday June 10th. it didn't apply the free 1st month so I called the next day, spoke with a Uhaul rep who applied the free month. Thursday came I went to get the storage and was told other people were ahead of me, even though the I was told it was mine. The person at Uhaul helped me move the truck reservation to Friday, and told me the Galley/ Academy location had a storage unit. since I needed the storage. The next day I called and asked for that location directly, they helped me get the storage... Later on Friday, I head to the new location for the storage, I was told the same thing, thankfully the guy working there was able to find something for me... Next I went to pick up the truck... When I got there and started to check out, I notice my reservation was cancelled... I call they get the reservation set back up, I go through the steps online, get the 4 digit code for the lock box... it doesn't work, I call the prompted number, tell the rep what happens, she puts me on hold, about 15 minutes on hold I decided to use the chat. That rep gives me a few codes to try and none of the work, I'm told I have to wait on the phone... by this time is almost a half hour. I continue to wait, call from a different line and I'm told they're closed... Waited about 45 minutes and finally hung up... after panicking about not being able to get my stuff, finally a rep calls me and after her apeaking with a manager she gets me a truck at a location pretty far away st 9:30 at night... (Tiffany was amazing by the way and very helpful, the only saving grace through this whole ordeal...) So to recap. Got the reservation for a truck and strorage for Thursday at 5:30. Wasn't able to get anything unil 9:30 on Friday... Absolutely worst experience Ive ever had... Except for Tiffany... she was the only saving grace for the whole experience...
