I made a reservation on the phone when i got to the place it was closed. The tire barn in Colorado Springs, I called the numbers listed numerous times and kept getting voicemails. I then called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do then hung up on. I called customer service back spoke to a great agent who heard my frustration and completely took care of me. She got me to the new uhaul store with a new reservation and even though she was told by her management they couldn't do anything she went above and beyond to help me. UHaul get your crap together! I will probably never use your company again! Thank god there are still god hearted people in this world and you have one named Kayla working in your call center!

My experience needed no improvements. The woman who checked me out and staff that checked vehicle in were very pleasant and courteous. It is hard sometimes to find good customer service these days but you guys pulled it off.

Do you have ANY idea how frustrating it is to help anxious, in-a-hurry people who also don't always plan well, in the heat of the summer when EVERYONE is trying to move???? Well, if you want some training, the team you have at the 1355 N Academy Blvd location, they're the ones to turn to. NO CONFLICTS with one another, NO BACKBITING, no conning the customer, no excuses. That's who THEY ARE! YEAH! THAT'S WHO THEY ARE! The Hulk, Mr. America, IronMan, they could take a few hints from these people! Hurry it up! Get the word out! GIVE THEM RAISES and PROMOTIONS! I just WON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Waited in line (1person in front of me, 2 behind me) for 45 minutes to rent a utility dolly. 2 staff members waiting on customers only. One was happy to answer the phone multiple times and help those customers while we all waited. Neither person acknowledged any customer when they came in the store or while waiting in line. Acted like they could have cared less that they helped anyone. The customer in front of me who was only buying a lock expresses her frustration for the long wait but the associate didn't seem to care. Poorest customer service I've ever experienced at a uhaul location. Went back today to return the dolly. There was no one in the lobby to help me for over 15 minutes. Went outside and asked if someone could help. The only person i found said no. I found a sticky note and a pen and wrote my info on it and stuck it on the dolly. As i was leaving the associate who helped me yesterday was coming in to go to work. I told her i had been waiting for over 15 minutes and no one had been in the lobby. No response from her. Didn't care. It's sad that the level of customer service has sunken this low at this location. Maybe someone at a management level should take a look and make some improvements.

It is strange that you require such an enormous amount of personal information to return unused boxes. It made the transaction painfully long and now I am concerned that you are now selling my information for profit to advertisers etc. Additionally, at this location the pin machines were not working, so of course, as soon as I had given all my information, I had to switch to another machine to do it all over again with a different teller because the first one could not issue the return to my card and I could not sign for the return on the faulty pin machine. This was annoying especially with the length of time it took to put in all my information for such a basic return.

Reserving truck with Kathryn was perfect and smooth!! Thank you... However, confirming reservation the day before with Asia and Ricki was a complete disaster the reservation had changed and tripled in price, the gal Ricki was yawning during my phone call and very argumentative. Truck was not ready upon arrival, the man that was completing out reservation contract kept saying that if I do something wrong that he would "slap this charge on me" (example for damages etc.) Found that to be very rude to use that term.

When a person pre-orders from a certain location, it would be extremely helpful if you would use the location they wanted. I did a pre-order 13 days in advance of our move and had to drive another 20 miles further west to get my truck. I was using the truck to move east.

This place was under staffed. The crew was over work. What would of taken 15 minutes took several hours due to understaffing issues. The line was out the door with only one person and sometimes no one was there due to putting out fires outside. Angela was taking New calls from customers, answering calls from employees, taking care of three customers at a time and remained professional and composed the entire day. We were there five hours and could not finish business due to the amount of work Angela had on her plate. You need at least five more people minimally to handle the amount of customer service coming in. We noticed people leaving as we stood in line. We left with unfinished business. Customer service was excellent but extremely poor because corporate is not addressing the staffing needs for the volume of business this store is doing. Losing money by cutting corners to make a profit. Not good business practice.

The key for my vehicle was not in the correct lockbox. This caused the website to timeout during my check in and I couldn't complete the process, but the system said I was already dispatched. Because of this, an exorbitant amount was charged for refueling. Also, the truck was horribly out of alignment, making it difficult to turn and stay in lanes.

This location is the best. I have always been pleased with UHAUL rental centers, but this manager, Jason, he comes up with the most creative solutions to help me get unpleasant work done quickly. Moreover, I've really noticed how he has cultivated this same "can-co" attitude with other workers there like Crystal, who is communicative, expert, professional at her job. And what's best, is EVERYBODY at this store is ALWAYS pro-customer, speedy, efficient and helpful. This boosts my confidence in the safety of your vehicles and keeps me coming back. Large backup to get equipment only one employee who had any knowledge trying to help people and train a new person. She suggested we all use the U-Haul phone app to expedite the process but honestly your app sucks it only caused more problems and frustration for everone. It took us 50 minutes to get a truck we had reserved and then we had to wait longer for them to clean it. Needless to say I will look to other companies for service in the future because this was my second poor experience here.

Tina provided outstanding service. When there was an issue with one of the boxes closing, she came over the next morning to look at it. Had to change it out, which she did within the hour. Probably the best interaction with someone I had when it came to moving.

It took us upwards of 40 minutes to pick up the truck that I reserved before hand and was sitting right in front of me. Not an upgrade of process in the slightest. The Tow Dolly I was given to use was hard for even the Employee to attach to my truck. The Set up needs to be gone over and corrected. Where I dropped it off again, the Empolyee had difficulty detaching it from my truck hitch. Something needs to be done with the Tow Dolly I was assigned to.

The service line took forever, there should be more people at the front counter, or at least one person there at all times. At one point during my rental, someone called me saying I was late on my return with a very bad attitude, when in fact they had called the wrong person.

This is a pretty busy site. We had to wait about 20 minutes to return the trailer on Sunday. Maybe you could add a couple of people during the busier periods? i know it was a Sunday and that's most people's weekend. Maybe it was just a fluke. Metrics would bear out whether that's the case or not. That's my only recommendation.

Reserve was easy and so was pickup of the truck. Drop off was another story. When I pulled up there was one visible employee cleaning on another truck. He made no attempt to greet or acknowledge me. This went on for another 10 minutes. He then pulled away in the truck and did not return for another 10-15 min. There was also no one at the desk inside and a long line forming in there. After the outside guy appeared once again I asked if he was going to check in the truck waiting (2 more arrived after me) and he said yes like it was a pain for him to do. Not good service on the end of my rental and will make me look harder at other options in the future.

My reservation was made over the phone early Tuesday morning. Seems that when the store you call doesn't answer? A rep from U-haul some where does. My rep, screwed me. I clearly told this woman that I needed a 17" truck late Tuesday evening thru Thursday evening. She asked me appox. how many miles I would need to base bill my credit card. I told her 600 miles. I thought all was good until I went to the store On Nevada to pick up my 17' truck. It was there, and then that manager Dallas Garza informed me that she had no truck for me to use. She wouldn't allow me to leave her store with a truck. A mad scramble went on from here. I made the reservation, obviously U-hauls phone people screwed up. I generally rent from U-haul every other week as I am self employed and depend on their fleet to assist me with a busy schedule. I was able, after hours mind you go to a different location and use my phone to sign out a truck. It took me an additional three (3) hours to accomplish this. This error U-haul made could have cost me $6,000.00 in business those two days had this final option not worked out. Yes, Dallas Garza aided me in the pick up off this after hours truck but it should not have been so complicated. Be sure when speaking with a U-haul rep on the phone that is NOT of where the store is you're calling to go over the arrangements verbally 2 or 3 times to ensure you are getting what you need at the time you need it and for the time period you need it. I am still quite disgusted ( feeling extreme dislike or disapproval ) of this last experience and thought I'd send in this review.

The only issue I had was when I had questions they never answered their phone. Someone in another state eventually answered it but I am not sure they even could spell U-Haul let alone answer any questions. I was transferred and it took about 30 minutes on hold before they answered and they didn't seem to know much either. In general your customer assistance is non existent..

Don't take 'reservations' and send confirmation emails and then call customers and tell them you over booked and don't have any trucks for them. That's called lying and impacts people who are moving in a big way. Just say up front that there's no equipment to rent. Figure out a better model so you're not punishing customers and tarnishing your own brand. Every one of the people in my life knows I bought my first home and they ask how its going moving in, or how the big move was. I tell them that my home is great and how much I love it. Then I tell them how much a loathe u haul and they should never rent from u haul, ever. Because they operate on a broken business model of over booking and taking it out on their customers. Thanks my feedback. Treat customers better. Period.

When renting the van I denied the additional insurance. The van keys were in a place to not use it so the had to change keys in the computer at which time they added the additional insurance. I didn’t realize they charged me that until I got my emailed receipt yesterday. When they rang it up I told them I didn’t want it but yet I was still charged. I go there often but this upset me. I’m sure it wasn’t done on purpose but not paying attention ended up charges that I paid which is wrong.

The location was fine; however, the 26’ truck needs a Diesel engine. It does not have enough power to haul a full load and pull a trailer across country. Also, the roadside assistance was not good. The trailer hitch drug on a high point of a parking lot entry and the truck got stuck. It took 3 hours and multiple phone calls to get a tow company to assist. Each time I was promised a call back in 10-30 minutes with an update. This rarely happened. I had to call again. The first tow company that was dispatched was from Greeley Colorado - 47 miles from my location! There were at least three local companies within 5 miles of my location. Get your procedures straightened out, uhaul!

I had a great experience. Had gotten reservations in advance. Arrived before opening to ensure timely service. Was out within 10 minutes. Couldn’t have been smoother. The only improvement would be us on the 24 pick up. Would of loved to used it but felt it was too confusing and quite invasive getting other people’s numbers out and having them called for verification. Also my cost for total rental surprisingly good.

They are way to busy to only have 1 person at the front desk. They are always at least 2-3 people waiting. People at front desk are always very nice, but unfairly to busy. They need more help.
