There's not a lot. It was a good experience. They forgot my dolly, but I had access to one so not a big deal. There is an associate at this location that is amazing. He worked Friday evening and Saturday morning. Light colored hair. He needs to train associates at all locations customer service. Best ever! I appreciate them!

Probably won't recommend nor use Uhaul again. There is zero reason to need two numbers to get ahold of me nor is there any reason to take my picture to see if it matches my drivers license. My picture is on there. Zero reason to jump through so many hoops for renting a trailer for the day.

The store office was clean, but my storage rental was dirty. The wire mash that went over the storage was half on and about a quarter of it was missing. The manager was extremely rude. I am military and will not recommend this to any of my fellow Soldiers. This is the first uhaul I’ve had to pay $10 a month for 24 hour access as well as not having a month prorated. Overall a less than satisfactory experience.

Unlike some of your competitors where you take your life in your hands driving anything they have. For any type of moving I will always recommend to my friends and family to use U-Haul.

I have used uhaul before and never had issue. Yesterday i was refused a car hauler because my hitch is attached to the bumper. This is a factory class C reciever but for som r reason they wouldnt let me get the yrailer. And i am not happy about it.

first off i rented a pickup truck due to my pick up transmission going out. I informed the desk clerk renting me the pickup i may need much longer depending on shop and with Christmas may delay repair. So he rented for 48 hrs. The next day my secretary called in to extend reservation to a week and they refused they just kept adding a day everyday. Why would i not utilize the most inexpensive rooute with a mile cap and a daily charge isnt that uhauls job to see that? So i am currently doing a job in an area with little to no cell service which is why my seceratary would communicate for me again they refused to extend the reservation. It was set by that location to be returned the 24th at 6 well i still had no truck so i kept we informed the location and i tried multiple times to reach customer service and extend nothing. Well when i returned on day 5 because they threatened to report stolen even though we were in contact i got harrassed as i was emptying the truck at my storage unit i also rent from uhaul to return the truck two guys came back like some police gonna reposes a vehicle rude and disrespectful. Then one guy maybe manager im not sure charged me extra on fuel and extra on other things he was rude invasive and just a jerk so i didn't not want confrontation i returned the truck thro the app and he refused that came to our car and made us return at desk fine no problem there was a decline issue. So we did and the lady that helped us finish was more than nice she was accommodating understanding and helped with charges. But i was in shock how i have spent over a thousand dollars with U-Haul over a few weeks time and the jerk who harrassed me and treated me like a thief was ridiculous. UHAUL IS A RENTAL COMPANY i own a construction business i rent equipment worth three times that truck I've extended reservations everywhere with no hassle. MY QUESTION AND AGGRAVATION IS WHY DOES UHAUL A RENTAL COMPANY TREAT SOMEONE WHO WAS ONLY TRYING TO DO MORE BUSINESS WITH THE LOCATION LIKE I STOLE THE TRUCK LIKE I WAS AN INCONVIENCE WHEN IM PARTLY PAYING THAT JERKS WAGES WITH MY BUSINESS. IF YOU ARE GOING TO RENT EQUIPMENT YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR EXTENSIONS UHAUL OFFERS AND SPEAKS OF ON THEIR WEBSITE THESE PICKUPS BEING USED FOR THE EXACT REASON I WAS. I will be ending my storage unit before the 1st and done doing business with U-Haul which is unfortunate because while i had truck i did numbers and figured for my business this would be a money saver i was prepared to rent pick up truck a lot and one more storage unit for the tools of business. So because the jerk I had to deal with U-Haul will no longer be receiving my business nor anyone I know so your crap employee rude and harassing lost upwards of thousands of dollars in business for who knows years to come. I have gone to budget where they where polite and kind and accommodating to the same situation they have smart business ideas to grow and prosper while some jerk that works for you ruined future business and cost you money he accussd me of doiing marijuana in the truck i run a business me nor anyone in that truck does this this experience has taught me NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. i WAS ALSO VERY INTERESTED IN THE TRUCK RENTAL OPTION WITH MY BUSINESS NAME BUT AGAIN YOUR EMPLOYEE SQUASHED THAT AND 2021 WILL BE OUR BIGGEST YEAR YET SMART THINKING UHAUL SINCERLY Michael Bennett Bennettcustomhomescosprings@gmail.com

Homeless people living in units. They were told nothing done. The lady I called at the 1800 number about it basically told me don’t worry about it because we got our stuff out. The keypad to lock the door didn’t work the whole time it was always open . The night we went to get our stuff our code wouldn’t work for us. Another person couldn’t get the sliding glass door to open to get their stuff but the homeless person was able to show them how to get side door open smh !! I let the lady know we got our stuff out and she said just go by there and tell them. I explained why I couldn’t at the present. She said she would message the local office and let them know yet we still got a email telling us our storage was late. Not to mention our u haul trailer leaked and nothing is done.

Significant issues with the accuracy of the rental and clear failure to communicate between associates. Everyone was quite pleasant, but a miscommunication and lack of policy alignment led to a 5 day ordeal culminating in numerous visits to correct a significant overcharge for services. Ultimately it appears to have been rectified with an appropriate refund, but final judgment will be reserved until my bank account is reimbursed. We shall see.

I specifically told the lady it was a one way rental and have noticed several charges to my account that should not have been put on there! Total price should have been $71 and there are more Like $150 or more that has been charged! I want to know why? Please respond to me!!! It even shows that it was from Colorado Springs to Salida Colorado. What's up with the extra charges????

I looooooove this company! Always there when I need them and such a great staff! This location and powers locations are by far the best in Colorado Springs area hands down!! I am just disappointed in the monthly billing cycle when we are talking about a physical location! If im not using the physical location than you shouldn't be paid for services that weren't rendered! To be able to rake in the money for an entire month of services that were never used but than Harris me about keeping the unit secure is ridiculous especially when auto pay is present this seems to be a money making scheme other companies do utilize monthly billing but make exceptions apparently uhaul does not

I been a customer with u guys a lot and i just rent a vehicle carrier to been drop off near my house when i got to the location that my paperwork said they told me that I could not drop it off there that i need it to call the campany when i did customer service told me to call the area manager when i call that number it wasn't the guy but someone there told me it need it to be drop it off somewhere else 20 minutes from there. all these been behind my schedule . And when i told him that my paperwork didn't said that he hung up on me i will think about it next time

Reservation was completely messed up...they had the wrong pickup day, time, products ordered were at 2 different locations, price was over $350.00 higher than quoted! Returned equipment out of state abd was told the trailer should have never been rented out due to broken chains and broken hitch!!! Thank God we made it safe despite issues throughout entire trip with the chains falling and sparking on the highway. COMPLETELY DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Truck was not ready battery dead had to start 1/2 later had two movers I was paying to help. Wanted me to drive down town co for new truck my unit was where I was at. After leaving office unlocked unit while waiting for truck they put a lock on unit had to wait another 20 minutes person in office tried to help really appreciate his getting a truck on lot. But I still paid 1/2 for work that I shouldn't of had to. Truck should be checked out before hand, didn't pick up until 11:00am

I wanted to extend my rental to after hours drop off. For the second time now I have had a bad experience with the app which in my opinion is not user friendly. It would not accept the code IT SENT ME. I tried a few times and finally gave up. I ended up having to call to extend the return to the following morning which was an additional charge. In addition to that while on the phone with U-Haul, I was told my return time was 8pm. not 7pm, (I learned this was in fact incorrect when I luckily found attendants working after closing and accepted my return and checked me in anyway). Kudos to those employees. Overall a good experience though. Not a fan of after hours pick up/return. Second time I had a bad experience with your system. The first time was two years ago when a taxi dropped me off in a freezing rain storm and it took around 20 minutes to finally get inside the truck. That sucked and I swore never again!

I was very disappointed yesterday when arriving to unload my UBox! I had received a reminder call making sure I would be there on Sunday and the UBox would be outside. It wasn’t and then they couldn’t find it. The people at the desk acted like it was the most difficult thing they had ever done! Finally after over 45 min. they found it and we were able to get things taken care of. I tried calling but of course no answer.

I have stored with this Uhaul center before and it went very well. This time around it was not very good. First off my husband made the reservation under the trailer reservation we had made. The people at the center did not allow him to go to the unit the day he wanted to move things in after they allowed him to make the reservation. I had to call from out of state and put his name on everything before they let him store our items. When I called they fixed the issue for my husband but for some reason out the reservation on a different account I had made from my previous storing experience that I had forgot about. Because it was on a different account then it was supposed to be on we did not get any notifications about when the rent was due and ended up having a late payment that I had to go to the unit to pay. For the second month we had to pay we ended up with another late payment then they automatically withdrew the rent from my husbands bank account. I am at a complete loss how they were able to automatically withdrawal money the second time after I had to physically go to the unit to pay the first time and did not give them any information for the account they withdrew from. I am also confused as to how we had a late fee if rent was auto withdrawn.

I drove from out of state 10 hours, and I have my wife check out the unit early so I can access it after hours. I was use the facility for about 2yrs on this rental. I paid on my unit monthly so I would expect more professionalism. I went to my unit in Dec. 2019 and discovered my lock was changed and the keys I had did not fit the lock. When I asked for assistance an employee did help me and agreed the keys were not for that lock. I was told I could not cut the lock nor could the staff and I would need to call a locksmith. I called back on Monday of that week and told more of the same they could not cut lock not could I and because the last time I went into my unit was back in Spring of 2019 they would not check the cameras because footage did not record that far back when I was making a complaint in Dec. By the time I was able to afford paying for a locksmith and paying for the storage unit it was March 2020. After the locksmith cut off the lock I discovered that my 2 new car tires and a ten speed bike were stolen. I had 70 DVDs that taken as well as some boxes with personal mementos to include a Christmas ornament collection I went there to get back in Dec. When I went to to the counter to tell the desk attended my items were stolen all he could say to me is he did not verify a locksmith was there and I could have cut the lock myself. If I was going to cut the lock myself it would not have taken months to do so. Instead of causing a scene because the were several customers waiting I went outside and called the police about the matter. The officer looked at the location, the unit and where the cameras were located. He did give me a call number for the call and stated that it may be difficult to located the items as the cameras do not show storage units but the doors and elevators. Later that week myself, son and daughter in law returned to the location and removed the remainder of my items. I put a lock on the unit until I could return to the location to talk with the store manager but received the run around for several weeks with her. I would call and be told she was not at the location that day or at that time. When I asked for a returned call that would never happen until they saw a lock that was not a U-Haul approved lock. When I called to discuss why can not get a returned call about my items being stolen and next steps but someone calls quickly about a different lock. The call I received was "Ms Stevens we were checking the units today and noticed you have an unauthorized lock on your unit, you have 24hrs to change the lock or we will cut it off and charge you for the cost to do that and replace the lock". I called the location and again asked about my stolen belongings and was told file an insurance claim and remove the lock. I said they can remove the lock I have moved what was left of my property out of the unit since March 16, 2020 . Close the account I would not be using them any longer. I was told fine that would be done I would be sent an follow up email which was never done until now. The only emails or regular mail that has been sent to me since were bills of mounting cost to pay for a storage unit that the letter say U-Haul will go in and recoup what ever property and close the account. I have said several times close the account I will not continue to pay U-Haul when they allowed my property to be stolen and could care less about my situation. Yes I have called Customer Service several times about this matter as well as 5 times to the actual location.

They cost me money, I had reservations for 2 units, when a crew that I paid for Arrived to download my 26ft truck, there were locks on the unit, it took them maybe an hour and 20 mins to get over and take the locks off, I only had the crew for 2 hrs and cost me $239 plus an additional 100 for another hour because of their lack of urgency.... I’m very disappointed in the service at this location. I can not make a recommendation at this time because of my money that was lost in the process and until I-haul makes it right. Thank you

For being 57 & 55 we have moved ourselves for years, and when needed a helping hand for the heavy stuff we found it. Thou due to this COVID-19 the only thing we couldn't move ourselves was the couch & couldn't get help due to people staying quarintine to their homes. So when asked if an employee cud just help to put in dumpster or in our car, was repeatedly told they can not help & wud charge us a $100 fee to remove it. So we told them well then we will leave it cuz we can't move it. They were gonna have the manager call us when she got in at 1pm, but never heard from anyone.

Unit was burglarized. Received a phone call saying that the maintenance team needed to fix the door. No indication of burglary. I went to check on unit and found that things were damaged and stolen from the unit. They fixed the door and painted. They took before and after pictures which clearly shows that someone broke in. Now there is a police investigation as a gun was one of the items stolen. Cameras are only on the entrance of the building and not throughout which makes it difficult to look at footage and determine who broke into my unit in order to press charges. Additionally, there’s an individual listed as my alternate POC that I have never met in my life. Was that hacked and tampered with as well? There’s no sense of urgency on UHauls behalf or common sense that you clearly inform individuals that the unit was burglarized not that is was not just routine maintenance. I thought storing items under a well known company would be great. I was clearly mistaken. Now an investigation is ongoing....

The lines at the front counter were almost always long so we had to wait 30+ minutes each time. The elevator was especially tiresome. They doors on the elevator were hard to open and close. Nearly every time you had to close doors downstairs, go upstairs and close the door so the elevator will move up to the second floor. The wire mesh over each unit allowed a lot of dust to get into our stuff. The access doors were narrow which made it hard to move large items in and out of the unit. Alarms went off frequently during the day.. One evening when we were in our unit with permission after hours the alarm went off and we had trouble leaving. The price is very expensive.Double what others charge. The rent is not prorated if you leave before your the paid month is up. The auto pay option is convenient. There are plenty of units and sizes available including indoor, outdoor and climate controlled.The staff are very friendly and quick when they help you.
