I would not recommend using U-Haul because I looked at my card statement and it showed that I was charged twice and I have no idea why I called several numbers try to get in contact with several people and I haven't been able to

Saturday the 12th the guy on the phone at this location was very nice. Sunday the guy at this location the 13 didn't sound very nice on the phone. Just could hear it in his voice that he may not like his job

I tried to do uhaul a favor when they called to see if i could carry a trailer to west virginia for them. That trailer caught on fire going down the road. Putting the fire out, I burned myself and cut my hand. Called uhaul and they made a report, but I had to drive all the way back to thw original location to pick up another trailer myself. Cost me gas, mileage and time. And what did uhaul do...they charged me for the replacement trailer, the mileage to go get the replacement trailorand then didnt comp.me for any of it. I got injured saving uhaul's property and all i got for it was a huge bill from uhaul. You would think they would make this right, but no. After 10 calls and emails, now im being ignored. I think a trip to the emergency room for the cut and burn i recieved while saving my property putting out a fire on faulty uhaul equipment is what I need to do.

Even tho a very busy Saturday, UHaul employees were giving it their best to accomodate customers. Seemed to be some issues with the IT systems, which slowed things down a bit. Even though I had a reservation for a pickup truck, it was not turned in by prior customer, so none available. However, the manager substituted a cargo truck and gave me the lesser rental price of my reserved pickup, which I greated appreciated IOT keep my moving plans on schedule. Clean environment, lots of products and dedicated employees here.

The pickup truck was not available even though I had booked it well in advance. I had to get the 15' truck. They charged me the insurance even though I said I didn't need it and had left it out when I had booked it online. So basically, what's the point in booking online in advance if I don't get the truck that I need and they still have to go through the entire booking process onsite?

The person receiving the truck & trailer appeared very abrupt & inconvenienced that we had to return the equipment there d/t the lot on Melrose Ave. being full. The people at the Melrose Ave location were very helpful & friendly as well as apologetic regarding the misinformation that was sent to the clients.

Not rob them for improper fuel charge. The contract clearly stated 3/4 tank which I agree was where it was when I picked it up. I filled the tank back to slightly above the 3/4 line just before I dropped it off and eyeballed it to confirm before I turn the ignition off. I was also told I did not need to stay to confirm after waiting over 10 minutes for service. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. I dispute the fuel charge.

The location is on a divided road near an interstate which makes it awkward to get to. Didn't bother to check in my trailer until 10 days later. Then hit me with a rather steep penalty for being late!! A call to the manager fixed it but not until after 3 previous calls where I was put on hold, and no one picked up after several minutes.

I was charged the same amount as a 7hr rental for 3 extra hours. Not impressed with this full charge. Was scheduled to have the truck back at 7:30pm, returned the truck at 10:35pm and was unable to log the return took me over half an hour and I had to call customer service for assistance. Not impressed with this charge. I've used uhaul in the past but would not use this location again for this very reason.

Shortly after rental I discovered the rear opening of the trailer was not large enough for my load. Upon return, they had nothing available to replace. They would not credit me the cost of rental. When I tried to upgrade to a larger trailer, they would not do so unless I paid for another rental instead of replacing the one I didn't use.

We were going to rent the equipment here before heading to Florida, they were rude, acted as though they had better things to do than to rent to us. So we decided to wait and get equipment in Florida and just pay extra to drop off here. When dropping off they couldn't be bothered with us then either. Difference between locations was so extreme Florida was great experience, Roanoke was horrible.

Get your site updated. The Salem VA Mini-Mart location doesn't seem to exist. Lots of trucks and trailers parked there, but can't make a reservation.

Location was not helpful and reservation was not guaranteed. Did not have the 2 furniture dolly's. Instead gave one appliance dolly which is not helpful when moving my grandmother's furniture who just passed away alone. Came to Virginia from NC to help move my dead grandmother's furniture out of assisted living and could barely do the job. Waste of time and money. Will not use this location again

I'm from the DC metro area and broke down in Roanoke Virginia while driving back from Bristol. In looking over my options to get my car back to DC, getting a U-Haul and car dolly then towing the car back to DC as being the most economical solution. The only problem was it was a Sunday and the U-Haul place was closing at 5, which I would not make in time, but my car was sitting at the Burger King and I couldn't leave it there. I asked the U-Haul guys if I could maybe just have my car towed there and leave it on their lot overnight since I was going to be getting a U-haul in the morning and they agreed. Everyone I dealt with went over and above to serve a customer who was in quite a predicament and I just want to tell them thank you. This location cares about their customers and it shows. Thank you Torie, JD, Jeremiah and anyone else who made a very stressful situation that much easier. You guys truly rock!

I could not call a location. I tried multiple times because my payments were being drawn from the wrong account and I wanted to straighten it out. Also, the way I see it, I haul owes me 2 service charges at my bank for IF charges because they couldn't follow directions. A customer cannot get through to unsullied employees that could possibly help them.

The staff at this facility are pleasant...... however, I just picked up my (2) storage units less than 2 days ago after being stored for approximately 5 months and have found roaches, live roaches in my items, since getting our stuff into our home. While packing up our stuff, at the unit, we saw 2 live roaches on the outside of our boxes but didn't worry too much, as the units are located outside. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! I woke this morning and found another live roach in my laundry room. The home we moved into is new and I am highly upset. I called the store today to inform and speak with management. I am currently pending a call, as he was not working today. I'm not sure if we had someone move into a unit close by that had bugs or pest control wasn't performed regularly. DO NOT store your belongings here if you care about your items coming out as they went in. BUG FREE!!

I wish I would have been afforded a larger space but we made it work. I wasn't pleased with the truck rental part. We didn't get the furniture dolley, but I still got charged for it. I didn't get a mattress cover with my box order, but I still paid for it. I want a refund, please.

We dropped the truck off at around 1:30 am- following instructions. It was not due until 8am.- later that morning. Got a bill invoicing me for an extra day because the truck was not checked in until 5:43pm (or something like that.) Please make sure I am not charged for this error on your part.

I was a little upset because when I called to reserve the truck and storage, I explained what I had to put in storage and that I really needed the appliance dolly for the washer and dryer. Which I got a 10 foot truck with NO ramp! And no dolly. It was very hard to move everything. I also was very thankful that U haul place had a bigger storage! Other then all The frustration with that, everything else was great.

Overall, I avoid UHAUL whenever possible. I had to go to 2 different stores even though told mattress bags and such would be in stock at this location by the rep on phone night before, who switched me to this location after I'd originally booked Williamson location. I can grasp that it had to happen with the extension of rental by someone else, but you had plenty of trucks..., and I booked a week in advance. You also gave me a truck on Empty... it also already had a dolly inside, so there was no need for me to pay extra for another. It wasn't the end of days, but just generally not a great experience, ever, as takes hours to get the truck usually, and nobody ever wears a mask (even at the start of the pandemic). Unfortunately, you almost have a monopoly on the market, so here we are

I had very bad experiences with this Uhaul. Hours were convenient for customers but service not so well and my storage unit had a leak for months, notified the former manager Brandon when he was still on duty about the leak but it was never fixed! Then they raised the monthly rent due and still didn't fixed my storage issue but they managed to have more new storage units put up in the facility where it's supposed to be well lit with the 24 hour access offered but it's not well lit at all!!! Will never return to this location if I ever need another storage, very bad customer service !!!!from a very disappointed customer who rented this storage unit for more than 3 years !will tell my friends and family also to not to go to this one!!

Very poor customer service. Very poor communication Will not go above or beyond for customer Will make customer spend money when they don't have to. Do not have trust in customer and favors different types of customers. Will never use this service again after I gave them over 2000 in the last few months for Trucks, Storage and more.

Person helping me was so friendly I left telling my husband how awesome they were. It's unlike any other uhaul location I've been too and I was in and out not like what I remembered when I've gotten a storage along time ago and it took forever , I have 4 kids and time is so valuable to me.

The only issue was I reserved a unit online and when I got there to pay I was informed that they could not give me the size that I reserved so I had to take a smaller unit which is an inconvenience but I will have to make it work.

The 5x10' storage units are difficult to access. Although everything fit, it was challenging to get the sofa fit. For the extra $10, get the 10x10' unit if you have larger furniture.

The only annoyance was the key fob would not work. I changed it out and the new one worked for one day, then stopped. That is very inconvenient when trying to access storage after hours.

Manager was rude and less then professional. He needs a course in customer service. You don't rent a storage facility and make the customer wait 30 minutes before coming to unlock it. More but no roo.

I had a problem when the U Pak box was received by me in Cape Coral,FL one hinge was completely loose, couldn't get the door shut. I had to repair,it.When it arrived the whole side was loose.
