- there was some glass in the back - LOVED the fact that the agent at the desk knew what they were doing and worked SUPER fast. - The online booking that I had was completely messed. on arrival, there was no vehicle. Originally booked in Port Coquitlam bc Received confirmation to that address however When i went to pick up at original location it did not exist and apparently I had to drive to another location which was out of my way. I was not offered any compensation for my inconvenience Line up was long , staff started to help customers behind me when i was next in line. Not thrilled with this customer service. Was told by staff at this site there are no cargo vans available all day. Went home to reserve a different location, saw that they did indeed have several vans available, but made sure to schedule for self-service in their after-hours so 1. They don't lie to me and waste the rest of my day, and 2. I don't have 20-30 minutes wasted by them like last time to pick up a reserved van. U-Haul is great, but this location needs a complete overhaul of staff, starting from management all the way down.Navid Z.

I requested in weeks prior to my move 2 utility dolleys, when I arrived there was only 1 available. The lady working at the front desk allowed me to rent the 1 for free which was very nice but it would have been nice to know the equipment was not available before the hour of my move as I would have gotten the needed equipment else whereNicholas P.

Couldn't rent a pick up truck with debit. Ended up with a 10' van, to haul a trailer with a 2 5/16th ball. Almost ended in diaster. Please change this feature and allow debit for these vehicles.maurice wayne P.

The exhaust was tied up with plastic zip ties causing the exhaust to fall down onto the road which lead to sparks flying,I was headed to the gas station across the street from where I rented the truck and thought better and just went straight back to drop it off.This was a serious safety infraction and I was genuinely stunned at how uhaul fixes large trucks.Ended up costing me very pricey gas from uhaul's personal price marked up gasoline supply...James M.

Great service from staff at both pickup and drop-off. Friendly, professional and efficient.RICHARD D.
Staff at counter overcharged the rental. I questioned it in person, but was told it was the tax. Further reviewing at home shows the staff was wrong and may have double charged the tax. Another staff trying to hook up the trailer spent 10 minutes turning the ball lock the wrong way. He was physically hitting the knob with objects. I intervened and turned the knob correctly myself. Upon trailer connection, the electrical wires had excessive slack and may drag on the ground. I mentioned that to the staff. He insisted it was normal and that amount of slack was required. He later than did correct the wire secretly. Uhaul needs to improve on better education or review and renew training at this location.Cheuk Fung H.

Employee who hooked up trailer wrapped safety chains around plastic bumper could have caused a lot of damage. Location has high turnover of staff and never enough inventory at peak periods. Uhaul needs to allocate budget to improve location.JUSTIN L.

The associate fixed up the tow dolly to my RV and walked away! Expected some sort of information on its use, for example, how to your auto to the tow dolly, some does and don't s, that kind of thing! But no, I asked, and he just walked away, never came back!!! The body language read â€œwe are not interested in helping youâ€ ! On our trip home we discovered that the ratchet did not hold the webbing strapâ€¦..it came off about every 50kmsâ€¦.the chains did not have any safety clips to prevent them coming off either! We nearly lost our car 6 times!!! (We have used tow dollys before, so we know how they are supposed to work). We could not take it into a U Haul on the way up because it was a holiday weekend and everything closed. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE RENT FROM THIS LOCATION !!!! It would appear that they do not even inspect or perform basic maintenance.Walker G.

I booked at another location but my vehicle was not going to be available for another 2 hours and I had elevators booked and moving in and out deadlines to meet. When I went to another location, on Barnet, they were fine except that the vehicle had less than a quarter tank of gas and I just had no time to go to a gas station because I was so far behind on my timings. Long wait times. Fuel amount on Contract was incorrect when doing the self-check in. Revised the level through the process but lost access to that at the end of the rental and could not remember what to fill it too. Truck stickers also refers you to the Contract for a guide for refueling but it doesn't exist.Robert C.

Can't say enough about the wonderful service received from staff, especially Christie. From beginning to end she was kind and helpful in making our storage needs a seamless experience. I would have rated 5 all the way except the last day the automatic exterior lights weren't working... it was the only time it happened and the staff was looking into the problem immediately. Additionally, access to the storage units from outside was tight a few times due to lots of parked cars and trucks but we managed regardless. The adjacent Honda dealership filled up the shared lane with vehicles stacked multiple levels deep every day, and U Haul trucks were often parked on the other side. This left very little space to maneuver a vehicle, load, unload, etc. Rental truck receiving area was often clogged with trucks coming in, completely blocking the storage unit access. I voiced my concern to two different managers, nothing was done. Access to the storage units was also restricted or blocked completely during a construction project on the Skytrain line (now completed), which made it extremely difficult to load/unload. No compensation, advance warning was provided, nor was there an apology forthcoming for the inconvenience . Waiting for counter service was very slow. Not uncommon to stand in line for 20+ minutes to speak with someone. Staff was friendly, many of the complaints were out of their control (except for the Manager).ADAM B. | Expérience générale

Water had leaked into my unit. Destroying my antique ivory screen.... which I paid 3200 for 20 yes ago.... which would have increased the value substantially.
