We booked a uhaul to be picked up in Mission, BC. They confirmed our truck the day before. When we showed to pick up the truck, there wasn't one. They said, oh sorry. You have to drive 45 minutes to Port Moody to get your truck. Very unhappy with the service.

I always wait a very long time to pick anything up. Very busy! I don't want to wait for 30 minutes to be served, happens every time. Hire another staff member! The staff working are hustling, and they are very pleasant to deal with but you need to make it convenient for customers.

Was not pleased that even my reservation was confirmed. My DL was already entered and photos of my DL was optional. It should be the employee’s responsibility to verify the DL and address is correct. I was shocked that the employee used his phone to take photos of my DL and re-entered my address again. All this was already submitted with my online reservation. It seems that even I purchased insurance coverage, I am still treated as a bad driver and not as a customer. Happy that I did get a refund for my fuel even though it is not in contract. I did provided the receipts. There was a problem with the fuel gauge and did not register any change. I fuelled twice and each time restarted the engine there was no change with the fuel gauge. After the third time the gauge jumped to a quarter tank.

Usual days expecting to rent a truck are crowded at this site. I came on the weekend and after 30 minutes I decided I'd prefer to come on a weekday. Staff are friendly and helpful. The process can be slow, especially if someone is renting a storage space which was the delay on the weekend. Trucks are always well maintained altho this one the wipers were very loud & scraping. I had trouble checking out after hours (very convenient for sure BUT ...) due to my desire to get home and I did take a picture of the dash and saved to to my phone BUT ... inside the app is where you have to take the dash picture and it send from within the app. I had already dropped the keys in the box so I had to go thru a phone call which went well but took @ 45 minutes to sort out. I was able to send the dash picture to the office via the email provided by the U-Haul service attendant (Deztani) who was very helpful and patient with my predicament. So thankfully I received a paid in full invoice the next morning. IMPROVEMENT suggested: Be sure returnees after hours watch the app video FIRST!! before they drop off their keys. The dash picture has to be sent from within the app otherwise there's going to be problems. I certainly will use U-Haul again and hopefully will watch the "return after hours" app 1st.

When I rented this truck I was told and my contract stated that it was for two days and additional days would be $40.00 per day. I stopped by this office near the end of the second day to pick up some equipment and when I mentioned that I mentioned that I might need the vehicle for another day I was berated and told that would be impossible and if I did not return the vehicle by 8:00 am the following day I would be subject to penalties and surcharges as they had the vehicle rented. I relented and returned the vehicle but had to rent another vehicle from them (at a cost considerable more than $40.00. In addition when the vehicle was being returned I was informed that the tank was not 7/16 full and the clerk tried to surcharge me for additional fuel. I was careful to make sure the vehicle was at the correct mark and after viewing it with me he relented and agreed to not surcharge me. (Seem to me to just be a cash grab). Also subject to same scrutiny as in Kelowna with cell phone pictures etc. I don't know why a company like Uhaul would want all this info as there would have to be a huge liability issue if the files are compromised. To this day I wonder why I allowed this to happen

The staff were great both at pick up and return.Very pleasant and helpful. However, there was a long wait for people to pick up their rentals and many of them were getting stressed because they had time lines to meet. It didn't affect me because I was there early, but I feel it also put a lot of stress o the staff to meet everyone's needs. Maybe they happened to be short staffed that day - or maybe they are perpetually short staffed? The location needs to get customer Wi-Fi, because I wanted to do express pick-up and return, but I could not because there was no WiFi and I could not do it using Data.

The only drawback is the hours of accessibility to the unit. Would be nice to not have to wait 3 months to be able to pay the fee for after hours access.

Check in and out was easy and getting in to the unit was hassle-free, however a one bedroom apartment does not fit in a 5x6x10. We had to leave 2 large items out (couch and desk).

Made a reso in July for aug 15. Was called 5 days before to say if I didn’t take possession today I would lose my reso. Terrible business model. Canceled my reso and will never come back. Embarrassing

Great facility. Second floor units are hard to access with heavy objects. A lift would be helpful.
