We wanted to rent a van not a truck - rather than use credit card we wanted to debit We expected a pre-authorization due to debit but we're told we could only do that if we rented a truck It was not applicable to vans So this resulted in aprix $50 more in km charges that we didn't need space for but needed rental regardless so had no choice The people at location were nice but the policy is not customer friendly and seems to Not make no sense abd a list leader to capitalize on the the ability to charge double for km.

I did find the online check out process a bit tedious vs the old night time drop-off one where one would simply chuck the keys into the mail slot and U-Haul would hold against your card a tad longer until their staff could look over your vehicle and contract. not that it was bad to check out online but sure is unwelcomed at the end of a hard day moving.

Staff were very nice and helpful. The inside of the van was very dirty. The cargo mat had been flipped over to hide all the mud/dirt. Back doors and tailgate were filthy. Picked the van up in the dark so it was difficult to see how dirty the inside was. the dashboard was very dusty like it hadn't been wiped down in a long time. The location is convenient but lacks parking and the return/pick up area gets very congested.,

The truck had a strong odour of garbage. I have been charged for pre-existing roof damage unrelated to my rental. I have not received a response from the site manager as to why I was charged for damage to the roof when it's impossible that I caused the damage.

I did the online check in and had uploaded my driver's license, but there was still a very long line and wait to get to the desk. When you know it is going to be very busy you could either have more people on staff to help with the rush or send a text to let us know we should come check in 20-30 minutes early.

Hello, Honestly I have never been a uhaul guy because all of the bad stories I have heard. The experience was flawless, the staff were very professional, the truck was clean, best of all was the experience was not overwhelming. The price was fair I thought and the level of professionalism here blew my mind. The process was very fast and I felt confident my move would go well! No customer parking for personal vehicles. The line up to rent was out the door with only 2 tills working, with 1 guy not calling for the next client to go to his till. Seemed super unorganized, people being told where their rental was only to get there and not have a truck for them !! Very disappointed in the parking situation

The location staff was super nice and made it virtually painless. However, the cab of the vehicle stack of smoke. As a previous smoker I can say it was pungent which led me to think the cab was not properly cleaned or sanitizer. The gas was less than a quarter tank which was wasn't a huge issue but suppose I wasn't expecting that. Over all quitevhapky with the location services. I did call customer services this evening to update my billing information after learning uhaul may have the wrong info on file folllowing a call with my credit card company. I was on hold for approx 20 minutes to be met with some man who told me Ide have to call another number and when I asked if he could transfer me as I've aready been on hold. He hung up on me. I was trying to save you guys the possibility of the pending charge being declined ... won't be calling customer service again and won't be going out of my way to update billing unless your office intimidates contact at a time that works with my schedule. Will not be calling back

the people are fine, the location and the trucks are ok. But your software system was down i tried for Half an hour under the rain to scan and send you the code of the location with no luck finally i had to wait in line another half an hour to get the reserved truck. it was a very bad experience

Arrived 10mins before my reservation of 11:30am. There was a big line ahead of me and three cashiers/CSRs. I saw that 1 cashier went on lunch and so this left two cashiers. The line took about 35mins to wait and get service. I recommend more workers or cashier stations to check people in. Also, it is difficult to check the roof for pre existing damage. Would like some way to check roof of vehicles before driving off.

The truck return was very unorganized. One of the customers became angry at me for parking in the equipment return, as advised by staff. He confronted me, demanding to move vehicles, as staff looked on. The equipment was fine, but I would not rent from this location again.

First I must say that the 5x9 utility trailer with a ramp was excellent, however .... I completed all the online forms and prepaid for my rental and yet I had to wait in a 3 person line for 30 minutes to finalize my rental. Additionally, the Covid 19 protocols are cursory. Both of the staff interacted with the public and their coworkers while wearing ill-fitted masks as ‘chin-warmers'. Might as well not have them.

Windshield was covered with greasy coating on the INSIDE as well as outside. Garbage behind and under the seats and there was a broken window switch. Service checking in and out was slow.

Take the 24/7 -key pick up sign down if the staff are going to form one line of customers anyway. It's confusing for those of us whose app said go to key pick up line and angering for those standing in the lineup

I find the system a bit confusing so I raced back there before I had to do a self check-in. There is so much to do before and after renting. It shouldn't have to be so complicated. Also, I got back to the store at 7:45 as I was told I'd have to check in myself if it was after 8pm. When I got there, the guy said check-in deadline was 7:30 but he checked me in anyway. Staff was extremely polite and helpful.

Hi there, If costumer asks for in person check in, don't direct them to mobile check in. I dropped by for in person check in and made it clear that I preferred to be checked in in person but was instead directed to mobile check in. In fact I was told that in person check in is no longer offered. I did try the mobile option but could not upload my D.L. picture. Only then was I checked in in person. But then why was I told that in person option is no longer available?

Your app never works. (The process where it asks for a picture) I take the picture and it doesnt proceed. The website works. Also, the furniture pads and dollies should not be check boxed by default. It's a 100 dollar charge that seems to try and sneak it's way in. I turned them off and they still appeared on my invoice, and I had to cancel them again

Can't say enough about the wonderful service received from staff, especially Christie. From beginning to end she was kind and helpful in making our storage needs a seamless experience. I would have rated 5 all the way except the last day the automatic exterior lights weren't working... it was the only time it happened and the staff was looking into the problem immediately. Additionally, access to the storage units from outside was tight a few times due to lots of parked cars and trucks but we managed regardless. Overall this was a great experience and I highly recommend uhaul storage.

The adjacent Honda dealership filled up the shared lane with vehicles stacked multiple levels deep every day, and U Haul trucks were often parked on the other side. This left very little space to maneuver a vehicle, load, unload, etc. Rental truck receiving area was often clogged with trucks coming in, completely blocking the storage unit access. I voiced my concern to two different managers, nothing was done. Access to the storage units was also restricted or blocked completely during a construction project on the Skytrain line (now completed), which made it extremely difficult to load/unload. No compensation, advance warning was provided, nor was there an apology forthcoming for the inconvenience . Waiting for counter service was very slow. Not uncommon to stand in line for 20+ minutes to speak with someone. Staff was friendly, many of the complaints were out of their control (except for the Manager).

Water had leaked into my unit. Destroying my antique ivory screen.... which I paid 3200 for 20 yes ago.... which would have increased the value substantially. Did not feel satisfied with a "shame about your luck" attitude. I was texted the claims number, but was already told by manager that they would not pay that amount. So I guess " shame about my luck "
