Anthony S.Receipt showed gas level when picked up was at between 1/4-1/2 tank. When i was down the street i realized it was almost empty. The TPMS sensors were on so i could not check mileage. When i returned the truck i let them know and was informed that i should have changed something on an app with the gas and i would probably be charged extra even though i took pictures of the gas gauge. Also was told the TPMS were not working correctly although the tires looked extremely low. One positive is the truck was clean.

MICHAEL H.Tell a problem I had with the cargo van was the tire sensor light was on on the dashboard and the truck hesitated to drive like it was putting too much strain on the motor but other than that it was fine I brought it back cleaned and washed.
Tracy B.We routinely rent from the Hamden location for our business. I had to rent from this Bridgeport location this time. I filled out all my information online and did not take insurance as we have insurance through our business. The agent at the Bridgeport u-haul added insurance without asking. I didn't notice she changed my order without asking. Not OK and we won't be renting from there again.
David L.The van I rented was in excellent condition. You need a better trained staff. Myself and 4 other people were waiting at the desk for at least 20 minutes before receiving help. I don't know what it is about U-Haul but almost every location where I've rented, it's the same type of inattentive, barely professional individuals. I never look forward to coming to U Haul for this very reason. Then after I made sure to put fuel in the tank upon my return, I was STILL charged over $53 for a fuel charge!!

Monel M.I received a call from U-Haul in New Haven. The woman who called was unaware that I had changed reservation from Friday the 27th to Saturday the 28th. She seemed annoyed at the change. When I showed up for my rental on the 28th, the reservation had been cancelled "from somewhere else; not here." But Lynn came through for me. My point is that U-Haul people from locations other than where the rental is to take place should not be interfering with it.

Ronald P.I'm not sure why others have given this place poor reviews. My experience was nearly flawless. Easy to make/change my reservation, terms of rental were transparent, customer service was great, and vehicle was exceptionally clean. I believe the bad reviews are from individuals who had some other issues and were projecting them onto the uhaul employees. My experience is that if you treat others how you would like to be treated, everybody wins. One concern I thought would be an issue really wasn't (had requested 24 blankets, only got 7). Turns out I only needed 6! Bottom line- I would rent here again, and will refer others to do so as well.

Ronald P.U-Haul is a reputable rental company and I believe that more effort should be placed to sure there are adequate trucks available for renters. There should be more of the sizes that people rent the most.

Brandon V.Make sure the equipment is at the location the next customer reserves it. I will never use U-Haul again. The language in your reservation is purposefully misleading, and your reservation/scheduling people are not helpful.
Steven J.The rental location called and left a voice mail for me about returning the equipment. I was unable to get in touch with them to follow up. Calls to the location were routed to an automated system and despite speaking with a customer service rep, I was unable to get the rental period extended until I made at least 5 calls. I spent approximately 2 hours trying to get the proper department on the phone. The location of rental never picked up. It was beyond frustrating; it simply didn't work correctly.

I had to go through going to the office so they can fix it and the employee gave me the managers business card told me to call and I had to go through all the hassle just to tell me call your bank? I will never come here again nor I will ever recommend this location..

The staff did their best to provide a substitute battery light, but it was not properly maintained. Also, I was not aware that the space was down a long flight of stairs, no elevator, no ramps for hand trucks. Very disappointed with that. And, one should be able to return the truck to any of the three U-haul places in Bridgeport. Very inconvenient, now.,
