arrived to pick up my trailer, after 35 minutes of the staff talking about all their friends, as another 4 people come in and having to wait also. the third person to come in (and wait for quite a while) was saying that "this place is always slow and don't care, they said that they "hate that place, and told the others waiting, "to use another store"ROBERT N.

Initially made my reservation at 300 Honeyspot Rd in Stratford but upon arrival I found the gate closed (I didn't know I supposed to park my car in the street, open the gate, enter, get the vehicle, and then close the gate again???) I assumed the closed gate meant they were closed. When I called, it just rang and rang. So... I called the main Uhaul number and they were able to correct this and find me a new reservation at this Bridgeport location on the spot.. The staff were very cheerful and friendly and made the experience good. Dropping it off was a little difficult as things were backed up later in the day. We were told to wait for someone to come to us, but after 10 minutes of seeing no one, I dropped off the truck using the app. I followed the instructions in the app and it seems to have worked out fine. Won't bother with that Stratford location again, will use this one.JEFFREY S.

Although the Pick up truck was new my foot kept getting stuck between the brake pedal and the gas pedal causing the truck to speed up rapidly when I needed braking. Few week back I rental a Ford pick up truck (and trailer) and did not have any problem. Don't get me wrong The truck was very nice and U-Haul didn't design it. Also, for the second time the chains in front and back of the car carrier were so mangled up and were not usable nThis time, even with a very big screwdriver I could not find how to make both of these chains usableFRANCIS N.

I received a broken truck. Phone costumer service was great but in store service was poor. Staff was uninterested in helping out and had attitude towards me. After swapping the truck they gave me a even older one where the driver door did not close correctly. Decided to spend more money one a moving company then deal with that store. I reserved a 27' truck for TWO days , three weeks before my move. Show up on moving date & I'm told "We don't rent 27' trucks for 2 days but I got a 20' truck for you". I tell the guy that I have a receipt for the 27' & I really need a 27' truck & he responds that he didn't have one here. IF I knew I couldn't rent the bigger truck for 2 days I would've made other plans with moving. I would think that SOMEONE would've called me & told me this after the girl made this mistake. This mistake made my move a nightmare as I was unable to fit all my stuff in the truck & had to throw out some of my belongings due to having to be out of my house by a certain date. IF I have to move again or need to rent something I will try & go elsewhere. In my opinion this is unacceptable. My moving date was in the middle of the week (Tues/Weds) so I'm sure they had a way to get me the bigger truck. Also , the truck was given to me with a check engine light on....THEODORE M.
Clean the truck. It was filthy. Extremely sticky and black surfaces spent and hour of my reservation Cleaning trunk. Especially since COVID im disappointed. Didn't feel like the health and saftey guidelines were followed.KAYANTE CECE M.
