The entire process of moving from Florida to Idaho was great. The staff at both sites were terrific to deal with. The process was very flexible and met all my needs. Would definitely use U-Haul again.

David LHad some trouble getting up our snowy hill (truck got stuck in a snow bank) and the entire load had to be returned to Idaho Falls and then sent out one box at a time. But we figured it out and the drivers Cecilia and Julia were extraordinarily helpful given the circumstances. I did spend an entire afternoon trying to help dig out the UHaul Truck so not sure how compensation for that works...

You have people walk and find the van then walk clear back to the building for the keys then walk clear across it again. I couldn't even open the door to get into the van it was parked so close to the van next to it. The van was also frozen solid. Had to sit there for 20 min for it to warm up and unthaw.

Didn't realize the employee didn't tighten the trailer on the hitch enough so when I was loading a motorcycle, the whole trailer lifted off the ball. It was a small trailer so no biggie, but could've been messy if it would've fallen off while driving. Overall experience was good and I will likely come back for other rentals.

Connor HThe boxes that we purchased weren't perforated on all 4 sides (where you close down the top) and we had to find something to cut them with. The handles were also cut on the wrong sides of the box, making it so the tape covered them. We returned the truck on time (early in fact) and then I received a voicemail the NEXT day asking us to promptly return it! Apparently we were supposed to receive an emailed receipt? When we called Uhaul back last night, the customer service rep was asking questions about who the specific employees were (we don't know names) and if there were any witnesses, etc. I can promise you that we returned the truck on time, clean, and filled back up. Unfortunately after this experience, we won't be using UHaul in the future.

The delay from the guaranteed date caused a real mess as my family was leaving for a wedding the day it finally arrived, they couldn't stay to help me get settled in…..I'm 88 years old and need their help so I spent the x several day trying to find things. Didn't find my medication for two days. Don't guarantee if you can't follow through

I didn't expect to need them, but they came in handy. One thing that could be improved is the trucks having cruise control. I drove the truck on a round trip from Idaho Falls to Boise, and cruise control would have made a world of difference on the 500+ mile trip. Other than that, my experience went very well. Matthew OUpon arrival Amber was helping another customer but notified me I'd be helped shortly. She explained she was new and very overwhelmed but friendly. The U-Haul app would have been more helpful if it was properly functioning. I wasn't able to complete the check-in fully simply because it kept timing out. I got all the way through on the app to the alternate contact information. Amber didn't have much knowledge of the app even though she encouraged me to use it. Amber added alternate contact information multiple times and it appeared on my receipt afterwards as something different from what I had told her. Minor errors, nothing major but the information remains incorrect. It also occurred to me a few hours later that I wasn't provided a lock which was mentioned in a text message that I would receive a lock for completing the check-in online. After moving everything into the storage unit, I also noticed a couple trying to cut a lock with bolt cutters a few rows over from me. I called the general U-Haul number to let them know but nothing appeared to be done. For all I know, it could have been their own lock but it did appear odd. The next day I returned to be helped by Patricia the manager. I mentioned I didn't receive a lock and her response was questioning assuming there should have a been a lock left in the unit. The only thing in my unit was a rat trap. There was not and we ended up using our own lock the night before. What I should have mentioned to Patricia at the time was that while Amber tried to be helpful, really didn't have a ton of information and deferred to the app to answer my questions. Patricia appeared to be working alone, quite busy and didn't entertain any of my additional questions because I think she was under the impression I shouldn't have received the free lock. I did not mention the incorrect information on the alternate contact, the couple trying to cut the lock, or the fact that the app doesn't work. (It was also very difficult to complete the check-out of the truck on the app because each new screen would time out.) Overall I used U-Haul because it's what I have used in the past, and was encouraged by the incentives of the one-way service, which included my first month free on the storage unit. In my opinion, the knowledge and service of the Broadway location could be improved but it wasn't my worst customer service experience. I would be happy to discuss any of my comments with U-Haul staff if a response is received. Merci.

SILA T | Expérience généralei really enjoyed having my storage unit here. i liked the side door and access card, as well as a pin just in case i forgot my card at home. the only complain i have , is that sometimes the isle my unit was on would be filled on both sides to the top with someone else’s stuff. it would cover up lots of doors if not all of the doors in the isle. also, there wouldn’t be carts sometimes when i need it so i would have to walk around the whole building trying to find one. there is also a lady up front with blond hair; i’m not sure of her name , but she is not nice. to most people she would be. however, to my boyfriend and i, she would always have a negative attitude and not very helpful. there is a hispanic lady that helped me set up my unit when i first got it , and she was really nice and helpful whenever i talked to her. overall , it was a good experience having a unit there, knowing it’s secure with an alarm and a good lock.
