The trailer I had, I believe has a couple of leaks in the top. I had 2 containers that had water in them. The wet items were on the right side of the trailer, as you are looking at it from behind. Otherwise all was good.

I was told if I returned the Uhaul with extra gas I would receive multiple credits of $19.00. The salesman actually said I could get multiple credits and that they could actually end up owing me money. I picked up the vehicle with 1/8 of a tank and stupidly put $71 of gas into it. Expecting said credits. When I returned the Uhaul it had 3/4 of a tank of gas. I only received one credit of $19.00. Never again Uhaul.

The boy at the counter was extremely rude and disheveled. He was not only rude to us, but also to the other customers. He was eating McDonald's and kept speaking to us with food in his mouth. His body odor was pungent. He refused to answer simple questions and instead only provided useless information in a disgruntled manner. Please hire competent employees with acceptable personal hygiene.

The original location for the return could not be used as they could not get online to check the truck in. This location initially did not want to check it in, until I explained the problem with the original location.

The staff was very courteous, helpful and apologetic. Even though I had made an appointment 3 weeks prior, the hitch parts were not in-store. So, one of the employees drove to Bloomington to obtain the necessary parts. My hitch was then installed in 2 1/2 hours. Very professional and customer-oriented business.

For starters, you can take my email address out of your system. I haven't lived in IL in 8 years but every time a particular customer (who apparently has my old phone number) uses your business, my email pops up as connected to said phone number and I receive copies of agreements, reminders to pick up equipment, and requests to fill out satisfaction surveys. So here you go. Hey potential customers!! They don't keep their customer information straight and when it's reported that there is a problem they don't fix it. They send personal information all willy-nilly to whomever. By the way, why does one person need a UHaul so often? What's this guy moving, anyway? You may want to look into him a little further lest you desire some potentially shady goings-on going on. Just a thought.

I reserved a truck online for 4 hours and checked in online so everything would be ready when I got there. The person getting the truck for me changed my reservation time slot down to 2,5 hrs. I have my email confirming the registration time a lot and he emailed the contract to me and didn't say he changed the times slot. So I was supposed to have the truck back by 7:30 and he changed it to 6:00. Bad customer service.

I was able to pick up my truck quickly, without any problems. Drop off was even easier. I have the employee the truck keys and asked if he needed any paperwork. He said no paperwork needed. I said thank you and left. Couldn't have been easier. I checked my emailed invoice the next day and everything was correct. Great experience.

What happened to bring the vehicle around to customer walking them around the vehicle/truck. If customer add a a heavy piece of equipment place it in the darn truck. this site is not like it use to be. If you have changing in your policy let each customer know IN advance.

I rented furniture pads. When I opened the package to use them, some where we, dirty, and stinky. I would use these on my furniture so I had to find blankets and towels to use. When I returned the truck and furniture pads, I informed the staff of this issue. I received no comment, no apology, no offer of credit for the items I couldn't use.

Very satisfied overall. In the winter the required disc locks can freeze up inside due to rain getting inside. The desk staff needs to know how to help and have anti freeze/ methods available. I have a remaining unit. I appreciate the loyalty discounts for paying 12 months at a time. Merci

"What can be improved?" Actually clean out the trucks so there's not old food in the front and spilled mystery liquids in the back. Also, the mobile pick-up is an absolute joke. Had me running back and forth across the lot to initially pick up the truck (go find it in the back parking lot, then go inside to get a key, then head back out), figuring out where to park it to return had me add another "mile" past the pictures where I started the return process so I'm sure that's going to be another couple bucks, then walking the key back around the building again to return it. The return process tried charging us a cleaning fee because I responded that it needed cleaning before it's used again because it was still dirty from the last person when I first got it. The pictures to verify existing damage were almost impossible to see due to harsh lighting and shadows so I took all my own pictures as backup in case they try claiming some of the damage is from me. I actually put the insurance on the rental for that very reason, just in the off chance there was existing damage I missed as the truck was covered inside and out with dents, cuts, scrapes, cracks, missing pieces, just about everything short of a full-blown collision. Overall, I was able to do what I needed to do, just with extra steps, feeling like I needed a shower afterwards from sitting in the truck, and walking away worried that I'm going to get a mystery charge for something that I didn't do.

The truck cab smelled like smoke inside. Difficult to drive with windows up and a/c on. Pulled in return to return truck. Waited for someone to check me in. There were 2 guys in garage working on a car and there was no one at the front register. Finally, one of them came up to wait on people.

The only issue we had was that the “change oil soon” light came on about midway through our 750 mile trip. When I tried to call about it, it was going to be an hour wait to speak to a rep. We checked the oil level ourselves and since there was plenty of oil, we just advised the desk rep when we returned the cargo van.

The actual truck was awful. Air conditioner barely worked door got stuck funny. And the inventory management is subpar. They didn't even have a dolly left. But that's not the fault of the individual location I do not believe.

Location of store is good, but the truck cab had no AC and the bed smelled like smoke and pet urine. Also found out upon pickup that the appliance dolly and furniture dolly were not available due to too many being stolen. Not a great experience.

Had to switch to this location due to poor equipment maintenance. 1st truck had a head battery that was "changed" but truck still didn't work. Was promised a refund but never received it... tried to get in contact with a Manger who said I would get it and never heard back.

The staff was friendly and somewhat helpful. But they shouldve shown me the storage unit and how to use it in person ... versus trying to explain it to me from the main office. Also, there is garbage laying around and a dead baby frog by the entrance of Building I. Plus the inside (near the door) is messy. Also, the intercom at the storage entrance isnt working. Therefore, I had to return to the main office when I had difficulty entering the storage building. But once again, the staff who helped me were friendly.

Gave me 3 different storage that had locks on them and the one we have now is a 5x5 and was told that it was a 10x10. Will go and get my contract redone because what we have is not 124 dollars it's 64 dollars

The three main reasons I chose to store my RV at this facility were the security, having a roof over each space and electricity being available to charge the RV battery. I rented this space for 14 months and for most of that time the electric would not work. The GFCI outlet would trip anytime I tried to plug into it. I complained to the local office staff and corporate, but it was never repaired. My RV was brand new (2021) when I started storing it there and never had any problems with my RV tripping other GFCI outlets, so it wasn't my RV causing the problem. I was actually told by another customer that it had always been that way. It was a nice facility other than I may have to replace my battery now since it's been dead for so long.

I would never recommend anyone use this Uhaul location. I have always promoted uhaul for their professionalism and how well the customer service there is BUT not at this location. The manager was completely rude and was a complete jerk to say the least. If this is how the manager acts, well he's setting a horrible example for his employees and is making the Uhaul brand look extremely bad. When I asked who his boss was he literally told me that they won't care and won't want to speak to me. I am totally appalled by how the manager spoke to me and treated me In front of his employees and other customers. I will tell everyone I know and meet to NEVER use this location and maybe not even recommend uhaul at all anymore.

I rented a unit and when I realized it was in the second floor I immediately called to have it switched to ground level. I was put on hold for 30 minuits. At which time I gave up and hung up the phone. I went in to the facility. I asked several. Times if I was going to be charged the first unit and the second unit I wanted to switch to. I was assured I wouldn't be since I had never even gone to that first unit. Today I see I have been charged for both. I need someone to contact me asap to get this resolved!

I had one of the inside heated storages. There wasn't any light inside the storage unit. And while moving my stuff out of the storage. We killed 3 roaches in the unit. And had to kill one at my home.

One thing, we received letters stating we have not paid after the fact. We called Sunday evening and the person did not put it through. They locked us out. We had to make payment to get unlocked the next day. Yesterday, October 26, 2021 stating we had not paid. We did. We took everything out on October 25. So we get a 14 day credit?

I was placed on the do not rent to list. This happened because an employee rold me and my mover not to leave anything on the teuck as he watxhed us tey to dowpose of our trash in an overflowing dumpster. The employee never said if its full dont use. I go in to pick up the teuxk last saturdayvafter resercingbit and the manager was very rude and brash while talking to me about the truxk. The manager pnly wanting ro hear himaelf talking an n one else.

The email did not tell us the location of the building that we had...the buildings are marked with letters and we did not have a letter in our email nor did the buildings have the locker #s that were available inside of that particular building. We had to go inside and wait to speak to someone..he was very helpful but we would not have been able to figure it out if the facility was not open for business. The gentleman that helped us was spectacular and went above and beyond to help us. The online portion needs updated for more clear information for the renters.

The overall experience was excellent. Facility clean, grounds clean. Very easy 24 hr access. All interactions with personnel were good experiences. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and informed. There was one incident that was out of the control of the local mngmt that took a while to resolve but was eventually settled to our satisfaction and not something that negatively impacted our choice to use or highly recommend this facility. I'm only bringing this up so you know if there would be a problem it will be taken care of. We used this facility for possibly two years or close to it. If the need arises we will definitely use this business again.

Access code didn't work even after checking in at the office. Email from U-Haul did not accurately describe the process for entering the building. Alarm goes off every time storage area is accessed, even when keycard is swiped and accepted and automatic sliding door opens. If I was not in such a hurry to move out, I would find another storage facility, even with the extra work that would entail.

When I first started moving-in to the storage unit the gentleman at the counter seemed confused and maybe new to the company. I called to inquire about my unit and was informed I did not have a unit. I called my mother who still lives in Springfield so she could get the situation straightened out. She called and spoke with the manager , Phillip, who was incredibly kind and empathetic to the situation. He fixed the problem immediately without a hitch! Thank you U-Haul on Bruns Lane and Phillip oh, you guys are the best!

We previously rented three different storage units with U-Haul, in the climate controlled part. They were always very clean and well lit, and we did not have one problem with bugs, mice, or anything. We used U-Boxes when we moved, which were a life saver! This is the latest unit we have rented, but we only needed it for a short time. We have been very happy with U-Haul and always recommend it to our friends.

Excellent storage facility. Very clean and no problem with rodents or insects. In the past we had three units, and just got one for my son to use while he is moving out of State. We also used U-Boxes when we moved last fall. Highly recommend and could not be happier with the prices and service!

The storage facility was well maintained, and the on site staff was great to work with. The billing was wrong almost the entire time we rented from Uhaul. most months they would fail to charge our credit card, then we would get locked out of our storage unit. That is my only complaint about the experience.
