Despite the rental agent checking the trailer tail lights and saying they were working, they did not. However, didn't find it out until 5:30 AM on moving day. Due to moving deadline constraints and multiple moving parts we could not wait for the store to open to get a replacement trailer (if they had one). So, had to buy a magnetic replacement taillight set and make it work (which it didn't and was a TOTAL waste of money). The whole situation made the stress of moving even worse. I will go out of my way to avoid this uhaul location in the future and tell my friends to do the same. Also, rental agent didn't wear a mask at all despite a sign on the door asking people to wear a mask. HORRIBLE experience all the way around.DAWN T.

My reservation was scheduled for 9:00am. I arrived about 10 minutes early. The employees arrived at 9:00am entered only the lock the door behind themselves. If you give someone a reservation for 9am they don't expect to wait for tardy employees to open the place. I received a call the following day from U-Haul asking me if I was going to return the truck. I informed them that the truck was returned the same day. To top off the experience, I was billed improperly and was emailed someone else's receipt. Never again.KERRI L.

The staff is poorly trained, unmotivated, some are unprofessional and inconsiderate. Also, most of the trucks are filthy and poorly maintained, the last vehicle that I rented, had globs of mud covering the entire rear of the truck. The facility has no high-pressure hose to wash down the vehicles.RONALD G.

There was no dolly available when I picked up the Van. I really needed it. Also, I didn't really understand the estimate. The estimate with the dolly was 37 $and my actual total without the dolly was65 $.GISELLE R.

The front clerk and another employee told me to bypass the odometer digital check in because they did not want to correct it manually. The odometer was off by over a hundred miles. When returning, i could not check in online because the mileage was wrong. I contacted 24/7 care to notate the account that I called to correct and document the incident. I wake up this morning to a receipt for those miles that were incorrect after being told by customer service the location will see her memo and that nothing else is required from me. When I drive to the store to correct , I'm told "people who checked it in are new" and that the manager will call to correct later. Now I'm out of 300 $until the manager refunds and that could take days to reimburse. For this to occur after contacting several points of hierarchy as instructed should be avoided by making employee redo the contract instead of using habits to bypass that cost me hundreds of dollarsWHITNEY T.

You can have the specifically reserved truck ready at the appointed pick-up time; not offer to "upgrade" to a larger (more difficult to drive, more gas-guzzling) truck; empathize with the customer's concerns and offer an apology instead of being rude and self-righteous; make sure the exact agreed-upon return location is confirmed, instead of saying you can't offer that location, but the customer can call the 800 number and ask for it (again). There seems to be a huge disconnect between corporate marketing (pick the size truck you need, and the location you need to pick it up from) and the local stores, who tell you they don't have the truck you requested, but you can get the "upgrade" (again, too large, using more gas) at a different, very inconvenient, location. It made me think I was working with U-Hell. On the positive side, the truck itself handled well, had good visibility, and didn't have any mechanical problems on my lengthy (1150 mile) trip.SUE W.
Danielle did a fantastic job of making our rental work. I had a reservation for a one way trip but they accidentally let the one way truck get rented. I have been charged 3 separate times for a 12 hour rental. When I called and spoke to the manager, she told me she would refund the additional charges. Instead of processing a refund, she ended up doing another charge. Will not be back to this location. Very unprofessionalLAUREN T.

Had an 8am confirmed reservation. Location opened at 9. The people as they showed up showed no concern for how this messed up my plans. Told them I had an 8am res as they entered the store at 8:45am and they told that was not there problem. I did all my reservation on line to save time but when I got in to the counter I had to provide all the info all over again. Wasted more time.CHRISTOPHER S.
The place was busy when we arrived, we were a little stressed ourselves, taking that into consideration the clerk who helped us, didn't have focus on us, when I asked how big the unit was instead of showing us, he gestured to the area and was texting on his phone. Then he finished our transaction, did not offer to show us where the unit was, so after searching in our own we tried calling, no one answered. So we had to drive back up to find the info on where it was located. Then we realized what he meant by inside (again wasn't explained) so again we drove back up to upgrade to a larger unit. At that time a young nice gentleman explained he did truck rentals and couldn't assist me but would get the other gentleman who was outside on his phone (again). After a few minutes passed, the two gentleman came in and the one on the phone was very agitated and using foul language to either the other guy or the phone couldn't tell. The nicer of the two kept apologizing and the phone guy continued his call while he sat down, very agitated.. I tried to diffuse and also let him know we too had a stressful day so he could maybe get back to servicing the guests? Again no visual on map, no explanation just upgrade and done. I would want to know if I was the owner or manager of this uhaul about the poor customer service. I would also not like to see the gentleman fired as he did do his job just poorly and maybe with training and no personal calls this could be fixed.Maria L. | Premières impressions

Lamando helped me with the rental of a 26 foot truck and hand cart. Was kind enough to put the cart in the truck for me and pulled the truck up for me ready to just go. Excellent customer serviceLORI K.
I would recommend that the person who checked me out learn some basic manners. A â€œthank youâ€, â€œpleaseâ€ using â€œsirâ€ would have been a nice touch. He essentially barked at me when I attempted to unhitch the trailer. I believe his name was Jahme (Buford location). Next time I'm going to just use a different location. He refused to give me his first name so I found it from another employee . Not the best. Maybe he was having a bad day. You can confirm his name as he was the one who checked me out from the back.PAUL S.
I left my mother in law gift inside the van today when I left the van. She got promoted for her good police work so I wish I can get it back tomorrow at that location. Its next to the driver seat on the floor. Ill will call them tomorrow when they open at 9am so hopefully it is still there. If not i will try to ask my mother in law for her help. And over all experience it was ok. The mileage on the car was little over and the paper it was lower than the cars mileage meter.HEE C.

Was told by the manager I could drive my 24' box truck onto the property. I tried 3 different times and was not as to drive in because the roads throughout the property were blocked with your trucks every time..this was a complete waste of my money. Not the location that was the problem. It was that they could not give me a drop off location in the Gulf Shores, AL area. They said "just call the 800 number when you get in the area tomorrow." I did that and was on the phone 1 hour with no answer. I did the same thing the next day and no answer. Finally the third day, I spent all the time driving to Gulf Shores trying to reach someone and no answer. I cannot understand why your company is interested in my feed back but they would not provide someone to speak to me to give me the location to bring the trailer back. After I went to a location in Gulf Shores, I was told to go to the office in front of Home Depot in Foley. When I got there, they said they always tell people that because they are trying to close down. Finally, after all this, I got an email that showed the location that I took it to but there was no one there. The trailer was great but the service was awful! I did not think the employees are friendly, no smiles at all. The Guy who I was told to hand my key to once I returned the truck was very dismissive. He was engrossed in a conversation with another employee that had nothing to do with business and made me feel like I was interrupting. VERY RUDE. And very short in his explanation in next steps. The Uhaul app was not working properly correctly so everyone was having to check out at the counter. There were only 2 employees there so I waited 30 minutes to check out. When I brought the truck back and parked in the return area where they are cleaned I got out with two empty water bottles and went to throw them in the trash. The worker cleaning the trucks rudely said to me that that was his trash can and I would have to go to the big dumpster on the side of the building to throw the two water bottles away.GEORGE B.

If there was a zero star option that is what they deserve. BEWARE when renting a trailer from them. They DO NOT properly & tighten the trailers as this is what happened to us. We we were loading the trailer the trailer came off the hitch and went straight into the tailgate cause a deep gash and dent. After filing a claim with U-Haul they denied the claim and denied any responsibility. It is clear negligent when we moved the trailer from the tailgate back onto the hitch it was loose and had to tighten the connection. The U-Haul representative NEVER pulled on the trailer as I have seen in other rental instances to make sure it was on the ball tight. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS with this location or U-Haul again!KWOK W.

I complained about a lizard being in my storage she told me just be lucky it wasn't a rat. I did not think that was professional. I moved out before my 30 days was up. Place moving blankets reserved in the truck or at least tell us where to pick them up. Accept returns of unopened new rug bags etc without a receipt. Obviously they are your product.
